Thanks for the clarification, Makka. I was being really conservative with my xp estimate since I haven't really mined since before the EoC. btw - I'm hitting about 60k/hr cutting and dropping willows with urns at level 79.

MIGHT be getting some RS07 servers. The members still have to vote on it. Considering they set the lowest bar at only 50k people though, it does seem pretty likely. I'm not sure people would be willing to pay $15/month to play a 6 year old version of the game when the current, constantly updated version is only, what, $6 a month?

Honestly, I barely have time for the account I have now let alone starting over on a 6 year old version of the game. If they get enough votes to open up the free version to everyone (unlikely as it's a members only vote and the numbers just aren't there) then I'll probably check it out, but I can't see myself spending a whole lot of time there. This will become RSC all over again. Surges of new players when the open up, which rapidly drop off until there's nothing but a handful of diehards still roaming around. Still...wait a couple of months, let all the looky-loo's leave, and get all the resource gathering spots all to myself. I might have to reconsider this. :lol:

It's good to see you're thinking of coming back, Sonic. The non-combats will go pretty quick, but I really don't know what the combat xp rates are anymore. Thanks to urns I don't think there's anything that's below 35k xp/hr anymore and most are much higher than that. From 50 to 70 is 636294xp, which is about 18 hours at 35k xp/hr. And that's for the slowest things like Mining and crafting amulets. Depending on how much you play, you could probably do it in a month or so. Less if you're willing to throw scads of money at the buyables. As for whether it's worth it, that's really for you to decide.

Unfortunately, flipping is really the only good F2P moneymaking method but with what little money you have it won't be very fast. It's been ages since I was flipping at that level so I really don't know what works anymore. Your best bet is to look at the top 100 most traded items and find things that are used a lot with low prices (like runes or logs) or consumables used to make other items (ores, raw fish, etc..). Find a low priced item (under 50gp) and try to buy as many as you can for 1 or 2 less than mid and then sell them for 1 or 2 more than mid. Maples worked really well for me when I first started, and raw tuna and pure essence were always my go to items when I didn't want to sift through the list for new items. This was before EoC and RuneSpan though so I don't know how well they'll work now.

No, they can't arrest you until they have evidence. Then you sit in jail while you wait for an overtaxed judicial system to finally get to your trial date where if the amount of time it took to get around to you doesn't cause a mistrial then the time you sat waiting counts double towards time served so they let you back out on the street that much earlier.

Personally, I always found it kind of funny when an ex raged on me and/or the new girl I was dating. Mostly because a lot of them (pretty much all of them actually) broke up with me. They didn't want to be with me, but apparently didn't want anyone else being with me either. I always figured it was just a girl thing, it never occurred to me that it was biological.

Christoper Dorner is an ex-LAPD officer (who looks like a fat LL Cool J) who's suspected of killing 3 people (including a retired police captain's daughter) and is the subject of a huge manhunt in California, and the LAPD have accidentally shot several people who were driving a vehicle similar to his (I think Giordano meant 2, not 20). It's gotten so bad that they've advised people who own these vehicles to not drive them until he's caught. The standard procedure (in North America anyway) for police related shootings is to put the officer on paid leave until culpability can be determined. As I understand it the reasons for this are two-fold: One, it lets the public know that the officer is off the street; and two, the officer isn't punished until it can be proven that he broke the law.

We need to keep you under control somehow. ;)

I'm all for training, and really the best place to train for mobilizing within an urban area is, well, an urban area. But why would they need to be firing blanks over the heads of unsuspecting civilians? It seems to me that all that would do is cause panic.

I really slacked off on superheating this week. Damn you Criminal Minds and your captivating story lines! So I only got about 3k bars done. Unfortunately, that's not even close to leveling either Magic or Smithing. The good news is that the TFS woodcutting skill comp starts tonight so I should be making serious gains there the next couple of weeks. I'd love to get it up to 90 like I did with Firemaking, but I don't know what the xp/hr for willows is so I don't know if I'll be able to get 4m xp in two weeks. I'll post pics when I can. I looked up Luke's Adventurer Log and says it's a non-member account. However, I get the exact same message when I try to look up my own account (which is F2P) and another account that I know was banned. Looks like that's not an accurate way of confirming if someone was banned.
