  1. Well yeah atm i'm grinding as fast as i can because i really want to do fight caves!!!11 but this is also part of the reason why runescape is really addicting
  2. Okey for a starters I am pure f2p myself, one of the top, and I say we do not need skill capes. Why not? First of all we will not be able to store them in our bank, since we simply don;t have enough bank slots Second, capes have been drawing f2p players into the members world as soon as they where planted in the game. Giving it away to the free to play may cause outrage among members as well as a decline for new members. Thirdly I have only seen capes as a burden, I see all those poor members being asked to show the skillcape day in day out. As a fourth option I would say if we want anything to be better, we shouldn't ask for this. Everyone knows a 99 takes hard work, and they can see it in highscores. We should be asking for things that ease the gameplay in f2p a little bit. What about a costume box that holds all of our random event clothing? And finally I say we have seen enough updates for a whole year ;) since many of jagex updates of last year did hurt the community I was always begging for an update to be p2p only so it would not destroy f2p life as we knew it. It may sound selfish, but this is the reason why I say no to f2p skillcapes :) Bank slot? Sure f2p doesn't have much bank space but i think most f2pers would rather just drop their black capes and wear their skillcapes instead... most f2pers have cape, and all a skillcape would do is replace that. I also don't see how it causing an "outrage" would make it bad. You should know by now that their will always be someone complaining about an update. And how would a f2p update "destroy f2p life as you know it"? Thats a bit dramatic. Its up to Jagex to decide if f2p has had enough updates or not, not you.
  3. Good bye but whats the point of making a new account just to post this
  4. Yeah, very true. What kind of crap is this? If you can't think of anything constructive to say, just shut up. Oh yes, all of your posts were constructive. Oh yes, all of YOUR posts were constructive. Wow... you are really nice aren't you. BTW that doesn't really work because he never denied that his posts weren't constructive he's just pointing out that you are hyprocrite lol
  5. I agree about the green dragons thingy, happens all the time in experiment cave but that doesn't mean they are young, i bet over 90% of Runescape is under 20 and if you have a problem with young people than you might as well turn off public chat altogether. plus Jagex has already made it so people under 13 can only talk in quickchat.
  6. I'm sure compreak is a nice person irl, but i know what ragmar means, sometimes ppl like him can be a bit.. blunt. I think the main problem is that some people take things toooo seriously as in think everything that everyone says is a personal insult or spam resulting in flame wars. i'm too scared to make a topic after going around these forums for a while because i see way too much people going "this topic is already made, do we really need 1000 of them?" or "quit whining you noob" ect
  7. Wow, i just about to make a rant about how everyone thinks all merch clans scam. I've had about 3 random people come into my clans cc going on about how we scam and the generals dump early blablabla there's even this one extremely desperate guy who has made his own clan does merches our items and dumps them early. I'm glad someone managed to kill him while he was skulled with a fire cape, fury ammy, d claws, ags and bandos armour mwuhahaha its kind of sad i guess but still
  8. wow i missed alot of the conversation i will post after i come back from soccer training :wall:

We're talking about being killed for item loss; specifically, losing items for no good reason - not something with inherent risk as a balance like bosses. It doesn't matter, you would still lose your items because you died. If it was really that bad Jagex would make it impossible to die altogether so that the people that lost items because of a lag or something wouldn't feel very sad. Again, it's the insult, not the risk or action - it's a built in element, but the insults themselves set it apart. Insult...?? They most certainly do not compare to RS. I've played quite a few myself and watched videos, and I've NEVER seen anything comparing to HD. OpenGL rendering is difficult to decompile and reassemble, and very time consuimg to build from scratch. I'd like to see a link. That also has little to do with PKing; items must be earned in the real RS, which is the problem with losing them when PKed. It doesn't really matter. Lets pretend a private server was HD (which i never use anyway). Would you play it? a godsword in a private server has the same uses but is incredibly easy to get. I'm trying to say that the "money is just paper" argument is wrong because you can't do that with money in real life. Can you easily make several copies of money in real life that work? Or would you just work to earn your money because its more fun?
  10. These are my skills: 63 attack; 60 Defence; 62 strength; 46 range; 44 prayer; 38 magic; 62 hp Equipment: Helm of Nezinot; Dragon scimitar; Granite platebody; Dragon platelegs; Amulet of Glory; Ring of Wealth; Obsidian Cape; Obby shield Well I did Fight Caves the other week but I only got up to wave 35. But I was too cheap to use sara brews and super restores so I used some lobsters I fished earlier and prayer potions left over from Monkey Madness instead(which btw is the most annoying quest ever). Anyway. I decided that if I got 70 range, attack, strength and defence *plus* 5mil for full Guthans and other supplies like arrows and potions and stuff I could perhaps finish it and get a firecape. With my stats I can only earn 100k an hour with Green Dragons. Anyway, Im wondering what the fastest way to get that money and skills would be. Im thinking training on Flesh Crawlers and picking up their drops for around 50k per hour (which would probably earn me 1mil or something) and once I reach 70 Attack and Strength train my defence to 70 using Green Dragons which should earn my around 2.5mil. And earn the remaining 1.5 mil by training on Flesh Crawlers with range from 46-70, using mithril arrows with avas accumulator so I dont have to pick them up. Correct exp and money rates for Flesh Crawlers would be really really helpful^^ Im trying to make a low-medium level money/combat guide so answering these questions would be help for that as well^^
  11. I think what has to happen is that armour reduces the chance of getting a hit high, not a 0 and that weapons should increase the chance of hitting higher, but not actually has too much of a strength bonuns
  12. I think you should worry about learning to not making a post that just goes on and on because that is probably what you should worry about before you worry about training skills. :wall: Oh man i'm incredibly sorry about that
  13. Both theories whether it was God or the BBT which created the universe are as illogical as others, 1 just has physical proof and the other doesn't. Both theories are based on something appearing out of nowhere, whether it's God or the vast amounts of matter involved in the BBT, both are as illogical as the other as nothing can appear out of nowhere or be made from nothing, matter can't just appear but neither can an all-powerful being. I go to the Jesuit school also, we're encouraged to think for ourselves, develop our own opinions but also the basic Jesuit ethos, be the best of what you can be and help others. Honestly, sounds like you're just going with what the priests you know are telling you to believe. At least it's Jesuits you're listening to anyway, religious people with a lot of sense. The Big Bang isn't "something out of nothing" Also, even if it was, people continuously talk of the Big Bang in the sense that "something can't come from nothing" or "actual infinites cannot exist, the universe never having a beginning is an actual infinite therefore the universe must have had a beginning," when in actuality both of these assertions are hilariously stupid. God too can be made to regress infinitely. Where did God come from? How can actual infinites not exist when God is infinite, as well as heaven and hell? They start out with the most complex physical thing (the Universe), and in order to explain the so called inconsistencies in scientific theory, they posit an actual omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient consciousness that they call God. Which one of these two ideas is more complex? It doesn't make any sense. If you're going to be making any assumptions (which you shouldn't be), positing an infinitely wise consciousness that is everywhere at once and outside of the rules of logic in order to explain the Universe is preposterous. You might as well just assume the Universe is infinite. Yeah but hes trying to say that science can sound just as illogical as religion. If thats your reason that God doesn't exist then the same could apply arguments to the Big Bang, making science just as illogical as religion. [/hide] the problem is they sound illogical initially for different reasons the reason behind the big bang sounding unreasonable is a lack of understanding the scientific data that supports it involved. Im sure you dont understand the full proof of gravity/general relativity that doesnt mean its proof doesnt make sense the reason people using god to explain the creation of the universe is partially illogical falls to the razor(forget name). If the universe is too complex to have created itself, and if its not possible for it to have gone back forever(big bang/crunch cycles), why does it make more sense for a being that is beyond observation and somehow existed forever to have created the immensly complex universe. I hate sounding like a devout atheist, that was more of a devil's advocate explanation then anything. Because the being can do anything. I saw proof of God before my eyes once, but afterwards i realised that many christians aren't that way because they had "proof" but because they just know that God exists. Its like how before the law of gravity people already knew that if you threw something in the air it would fall down, or that before the law of motions people already knew things moved without proof. There are many posts before about this, but God *has* to punish us. Although he loves us, he wants Justice and that is why he sent Jesus to sacrifice himself instead of poofing belief into us. He isn't going to make us his puppets to please himself. He gives us a choice. On the other hand, Satan is evil because he has caused Sin to enter the world and without him no one would ever die in the first place which is why he didn't only kill "10" people but every single person to have ever existed really and made our lives worse than they otherwise would have been.

  15. a god with limited power, a god that discovered the human race after it had naturally evolved and for whatever reason cant influence/wont influence it. A god with limited power... isnt that an oxymoron
  16. I agree with Compfreak here. I played Barbian Assault when i was level 50-60. The instruction booklet is way too much of a bore to go through. It took me around 2 rounds to find out what to do with the Collectors role and i got seriously annoyed with level 100+'s running up to me going OMG NOOB TELL ME ATTACK STYLE I ALWAYS LOSE POINTS BECAUSE OF NOOBS LIKE YOU. It also annoys me in Castle Wars when people think i suck because i'm a low level. I set up a few barricades and a level 90 blows them up going "omg noob" and right at that moment someone steals our flag and runs past the place i had set up a few barricades seconds ago. But i can see how the topic starter could be annoyed. But still- how else are we supposed to find out how to play. Hands on experience will make it 100x easier
  17. I sort of agree with Gpguy. I'm sure Jagex could come up with more original ways to level up then constant grinding. Thats why i stick with combat. Lots of different minigames and options to choose while leveling up unlike clicking on a granite rocks over and over again.
  18. I'm a complete noob when it comes to skills so i was wondering what you guys think is the most worthwhile skill to train. Nowadays i just stick to combat because i think its more fun and more rewarding. I think woodcutting is not a very worthwhile skill to train unless you have lots of time on Runescape because although it is semi-afkable it maxes out at 150k/hour with a dragon axe and 99Woodcutting. Fishing only maxes out at around 150k/hour as well but its more AFKable (well i think it is anyway) Runecrafting is rewarding at level 91 but it takes forever to get there. Mining is boring as well but pure essence at only 50-60 mining makes almost as much as Magics and Sharks at 99 and is semi-afkable as well. Runite is a very good money maker BUT i think that i would rather train combat because at GWD you can apparantly make 1-2mil per hour and if you aren't strong enough for that you have Green Dragons meanwhile. Yeah. So what do you guys think? BTW i'm a complete noob, i hardly know anything about skills but i want to.
  19. Compfreak, Jagex obviously let F2P's into the forums for a reason. If F2P gets forums, Jagex can get a clearer idea of what needs changing in f2p which will maybe bring more people into the game who will stay because they are interested and all of them are potential members (and they will tell all their friends about Runescape as well) which will probably cover the cost of the extra F2P's on the forums. If i'm talking about something completly different my bad.
  20. Pure prayer i know what you mean. Abbysal whip is better than Godsword in the aspect. If you compare Godsword and Dragon Claws, Godsword only beats Dragon Claws in an area where Abbysal Whip owns it for lower level requirement and money anyway.
  21. Sorry but I like to play my games, not work on them. Yeah, i agree, that point doesn't really work. The thought of getting 99 in every skill doesn't exactly get me excited... and castle wars might be fun but i think i would rather commit suicide before i get all the decorative armours
  22. Yeah i kinda know what you mean and i would probably agree if i was a high level and had already done most of the fun stuff to do. But there have been lots of small updates recently that have made the game far less annoying and i think those are decent updates.

Despite your efforts, we are still not using "fun" as the basis for comparison. We are using "time". See, the universal currency we are using here is time. And RL money and RS pixels are simply two different representations of it. It's like how all nations base their national currency on the gold standard. Gold is the universal currency, and the Euro and the Dollar are simply two different representations of it. But don't you play Runescape for fun? Or do you play it so you can show off how long you have played Runescape for? Obviously, I play it for fun. Also, I find some find in the second. But can you measure fun? That's the problem here, you can't measure fun. Therefore, it is irrelevant to this argument because it is simply too vague to be given a value. Time is not. It can be given value. But why you have to measure anything? If you play for fun, and you have fun getting items and earning money, is losing some gp really THAT bad seeing that earning money to make up for your loss will be fun? How can you consider it a waste of time if you enjoy doing it? Thats like saying you wasted your time watching a basketball game because your favourite team lost. You had fun watching the basketball game, so how is it a waste of time? In fact, on Runescape, it is even possible to go back in time and watch the basketball game again, except this time your basketball team has another chance of wining.
