  1. Torso sucks. The only reason you would maybe want one is for pvp as a zerker pure and even then its not really worth it because if you die you lose it no matter what and you have to spend another 15hours getting it back. Not to mention it has really bad defence, like worth than a rune chain
  2. Cakes! They are only 83 gp and i can last forever with an inventory of them. For bosses, pineapple pizza/monkifish/tuna potato
  3. i just got 70/70/70 stats today! i'm going to try it^^
  4. omg i'm going to try that tomorrow. I used to use my brawling gloves or just train in the wilderness volcano but after losing 500k and several hours only to get 100k at 100%ep i just sit down now. I'm going to use my ring of stone lol.... hehe although i think that i will still show up in the minimap
  5. I did it at level 40. Rune longsword is more effective against elvarg (use stab) than rune scimmy or rune 2h. Bring at least addy armour and swordfish and teleport runes. On my first try, i had to tele out with Elvarg extremely close to dieing because i panicked and waste food lol yeah
  6. I used to earn money by making a few new accounts, getting them out of tutorial island and drop trading their 20gp plus a few bronze arrows and runes into my main. I told a few of my friends about this "secret" method of making tons of money
  7. 1... i have no idea how to train it. Turns out that you only need 51 hunter^^ So i think i only need 48 hunter if i pot
  8. The quest's requirements are wayyyy too high for me. I've heard that you only need to complete up to a certain part of the quest to be able to train on armoured zombies- could anyone tell me the quests and skills required to get that far? Thanks!!11 (Also, will using chilvary be hugely worse than using piety?) Edit: After reading a few more quest guides, i'm fairly sure i will need 55 hunting. Could someone tell me that basics of hunting, and a fast but preferably decent money earning way of getting 55 hunting? I've never tried it before- and would it take very long? I want to get 99 attack but i'm not sure if armoured zombies are worth doing lol
  9. I spent 5 hours and 100k getting 100% EP only to get a Zamorak Icon worth 100k!!! And brawling gloves (melee), although i'm too scared to use them. How do some people earn MILLIONS AN HOUR???? From what i've seen so far, it doesn't really have to be nerfed...
  10. That doesn't change a single thing . There can still only be one best method of training making. For example, if a new monster was introduced that earned 10kexp an hour with an abbysal whip, but 200kexp with a dragon dagger, the dragon dagger would, according to quelmotz logic, be "overpowered". But even if you were right, you're suggestion is completely different to what quelmotz was "trying to get at" so i don't know what he's going on about.
  11. There can only be one "best" weapon for training. Nerfing the whip will make another weapon "overpowered".
  12. Its so addicting but no its not worth it lol... the things you learn from playing aren't that great lol. So the only reason you would play was because it is fun. The problem is that so much people attempt to get really high stats, but during that time they are usually bored. How many people actually enjoy clicking on a rock several times? Yet for most people thats what we do most of the time. People don't enjoy what they do on Runescape for such a large percentage of the time, sometimes it feels like work. How many times a day do you hear players congratulate others for the "hard work" they put in?
  13. There will always be people who love money, and I don't care if you hate them or whatever, you still don't have a right to criticise them. Merchanting isn't a freaking illegal activity!!!!!!!!! No, I'm not defending merchants, nor am I a merchant myself. Merchanting is basically buy low sell high. So if you buy two hundred pieces of land for $1000 each, and sell them for $1200 each, you ARE merchanting, so that's illegal? What the [bleep]? If so, many legitimate businessmen will be in jail for doing NOTHING wrong. [/hide] First off, name calling and spitting in people's faces may be excessive, but we do have a right to criticize merchants as much as we have a right to criticize anything else we feel strongly against. Merchanting isn't an illegal activity. Okay, I can give you that one. The problem is we've confused our definition of what a merchant really is since the release of the GE. Since the GE, merchants have become obsolete for the most part. Today's "merchants" have evolved into more of investors, and it involves more than just a "buy low - sell high" strategy as you are stating. Now, investors are legal. Technically speaking, price manipulation itself can be considered legal. If I see a greater demand in the market for yew logs, and I start cutting yews, eventually my stock hitting the market is going to stabilize the price of yews, even lower them. That can be considered price manipulation. When we are talking about merchants, and we are talking about price manipulators, we are talking about something else. There is another form of price manipulation that occurs that IS illegal. When the actions are both disrupting the flow of supply and demand, AND disrupting the value of a product, that is illegal. If the legitimate businessman you speak of began using the same practices that merchant clans are, you would see them fined, in jail, or both. The United States has several incidents very similar, one of which even managed to destroy the reputation of a President. [hide=hihihi727] [/hide] You're comparing price abuse to actual aspects of the game. Both the "dragon slayer" and pvping scenario you present involve competition, which is healthy both for the game, and the game's economy. The sole purpose of a "manipulating clan" is to ELIMINATE competition through cooperation to corner the market. It abuses the intent of the trade system. Individually, it disrupts players from wishing to make personal trades to get their needed items in the game. On a macro level, the trends of many prices look as if they are on a roller coaster, and the market will eventually lose stability if merchant clans continue to increase their activity. If we do wind up with stricter price gaps, or even set prices, you will be the one to blame. There is a difference between wanting some extra cash and pure greed. How much is enough money? 100M? 1000M? Maxed cash? Six piles of maxed cash? So whats the difference between wanting some extra cash and "pure greed" than?
  14. I said that earlier in one of my posts. There is a difference between merchanting and price manipulating. Both use the GE, and both try to make money, but there is a very subtle difference between them. Merchants buy low and sell high, to earn money. It requires intelligence and skill in predicting the prices in the GE. On the other hand, price manipulators work to manipulate prices for their own profit too. However, they don't use intelligence or skill, they use sheer numbers of people and money to manipulate prices. That is why price manipulation is against the law but merchanting (buy low sell high-ing) isn't. Dude... if you look at it that way, why not just say that fishing should be banned? It takes no intelligence, after all. What about mining? What about woodcutting? Unless you think that clicking on a willow tree for several hours is mentally challenging? Price manipulation may be bad, but thats not because it requires no intelligence, but because its annoying to other people. And theres no such things as "Merchanting" clans- after all, merchanting is a solo effort. Manipulation clans are sort of like these nonexistent "merchanting" clans because the generals and leader look at the graph for an item that looks like it will go up soon, and is also in demand but not too easily made. Then they tell everyone else to buy them so they get even more money than they usually do.
  15. Expensive is bad lol what way do you personally use? If theres a guide somewhere on the internet that would be cool
  16. You have to do One Small Favour. If you've already done it its probably in your bank
  17. Thanks! So was my description on how to do it correct?
  18. Ok i think i have the basic ideas but i'm not entirely sure about everything I'm a level 85 main btw *Should i risk 76k in a members world or go to a f2p world and only 26k? I heard that the drops are quite similar *Would i be able to earn either at least 200k/hr? (i know its random but i just need to know if i will probably earn that much) *Whats a good clan chat that people use to look for other 26k/76kers? *I've got a vague idea of what to do but i'm not entirly sure. Do i... Go to a bounty hunter world with 26k partner (76k if i'm doing it in a members world) Wear dragonhide armour while risking the correct amount, except my most valuable item because it wont count towards the 26/76k Cast wind bolt at each other for 1 hour Bank our stuff and pull out a whip or another weapon Take turns killing each other (because if you die your EP doesn't reset) *Is this "trick" illegal? *Bounty hunter world vs pvp world whats the difference? Thanks!^^
  19. Are you sure that he was insulting your good grammar? Because sometimes people in Runescape talk like they are out of the 18th century which really annoys me, theres a difference between that and good grammar.
  20. No, no, no. Let me compare those for you. Rune Platebody is significantly superior in all defence but Slash (and even then, it's only +5 greater on Torso). I've seen the numbers posted by other users, and assuming 6 hours to get the Torso, you need over 1000 hours worth of training for the tiny strength bonus to be better. That and I myself (when I was 89 Defence) found I was using too much food, even with a Bunyip with a Fighter Torso and Dragon Legs combo. So either use a Barrows (Dharok/Guthan/Torag) Platebody, Verac's Brassard, or stick with the cheap and functional Rune Platebody. Neitiznot against D Med D Med wins slightly in 4 out of 6 Defensive Bonuses, however the +3 Strength and Prayer Bonus of the Neitiznot Helm means it is superior. Yeah, i normally wouldn't bother getting a fighters torso but barbarians assault is so addicting@@
  21. @@ how? i have a total level of 1000 and 85 cb which isn't alot, but still much more than a level3, and i can only earn 130k an hour
  22. Honestly, I don't get offended that much with racism. I have got picked on for being white and it bothers me just as much as getting called stupid. For some reason people think the line suddenly appears only when you bring up race, but any other insult is fine. Hate to break it to you, but race isn't the only thing people get offended by. There are many other fields such as religion, gender, age, appearance, orientation, class, nationality, etc. that people get offended by. You can rank these in the order to your liking - some are more offensive than others - but each of them deserve to be defended against unfair generalizations. You can say X is worse than Y, but you can't say it's okay to defend X but not okay to defend Y. It's pretty clear that when you bring up the entire Runescape community's IQ into this, then you are not only talking about the people who won't do the trick. You're making a generalization. I mean, the majority of RS players probably don't even do PVP so how the hell can you make that claim? A more appropriate title would be "Average PVPers IQ: 60" - even though it's still ridiculous, it's not nearly as ridiculous. I was defending myself, and anyone else who feels that insulting the average RS IQ is a terrible way of expressing your opinion. Why you people try to defend that is a bigger mystery to me than if god exists or not. PS: Are you telling me that saying the average Runescape IQ is 60 was "sarcasm", or am I just misreading? The OP didn't mean that the average runescapians IQ was literally 60- his intentions when he said that was to express his anger over people who didn't do the retribution trick with him. I'm not trying to defend anyone... i was just pointing out that i think that being racist is worse. But i think i misread your post because i thought you were defending Quelmotz so never mind actually i thought your argument was about something else.
  23. Well do you think you would be more offended if someone said that black people are thieves (pretending that you were black) or someone on a forum you go to saying that that the average Runescapeians IQ is 60? Also its pretty clear in the first post that his insult is not directed to all runescapians but just the people that annoyed him because they didn't want to do the pvp trick. BTW were you saying that the person who had the right to post something that included getting offended was Quelmotz? Because he was getting angry wayy before someone mentioned that all runescapians have an IQ of 60... with was sarcasm btw.
