@necro: it's to make it a hell of a lot easier when filling up the pkdex (at least crobat is). Then you can just breed the crobat for a zubat, then lvl it up, rather than catching a golbat/evolving it/breeding it. Takes 1/2 the time to get the dex entries (oh, and getting blissey is easy now, have a lv2 one after I just kept teaching chansey return/thunderbolt). Also, I've been thinking of importing pkmn off diamond/ss, but have no real idea which pkmn would be worth getting (aside from salamence/garchomp). Is gigas now worth getting too since it can easily be teamed w/ shuckle to stall out its ability?

Well, I managed to pull off an interesting one. Added a tiiiiny bottle of red dye into all the campus toilets making it look like when you used the toilet, you'd be crapping blood. Scared the hell out of a bunch of people, also got some other kid in trouble.

A few of my friends had that happen to them when they were starting to date (back around 8-9yrs ago). Those girls are pretty dumb though, seeing as 1) if the guy finds out that they're faking, then it destroys all the sexual connections/personal connections between them, and 2) even if the relationship does work out, it'll be at best a 'swinger' relationship. Oh, and something else that annoys me: this damn canadian weather. Was going to open up the fishing season this weekend, because they said it'd be warm. Go outside this morning and it's 3degrees.

@demoli: I remember seeing something in one of the local theatres. They did every windwaker boss battle song, but it was orchestral/more like a symphony. Oh, and it had a 7 minute cello solo during the earth temple boss song (the song they play during the huge sand-worm).

@star: same here, which is why I put a false-bottom in my dresser. Then, I can theoretically put the exact clothes that I need without them knowing I have extras. Works extremely well at/close to laundry days, as the pile of laundry tends to make the story more believable. @dizzle: I blame the japanese, after all, they made guitar hero/all the fun stuff!

True. Oh, and I ran into my 7th shiny in the past 4 days. Was killing/resetting the nature/ivs of my thundurus via e4, went to check it last night, and it became shiny. Albeit the nature partially sucks (brave, wanted hasty/lonely). Oh, and tm's work like massages now, so to evolve the 2nd stage into leavanny, just keep teaching it return/struggle bug. After 20 of each, it'll evolve automatically the next lvl.

@demoli: leavanny to petlil, otherwise you end up with a triple-rock weakness.

Zekrom though is diabolically godly. Base 150atk guarantees a 2hko against almost everything in ubers, and 1hkos against anything that gets se hit. Zekrom's atk is so powerful, that it can ohko kyogre (a tough task in itself)

They got rid of phaneuf during the off-season. Mind you, going after jokinen was their biggest mistake (seeing as the only real record that he held was the 'most seasons playing without being in the playoffs' one).

@fool: that always confuses me too. It's like when I'm talking to someone/beating them in poker, then I offer helpful criticism/advice and they come back with 'you're not a professional, so you know nothing!'. Meh, I may not be a professional, but I still win money off them idiots...lol.

I think my last post just gave you all the knowledge you really need. Tornadus is essentially a cruddier version of thundurus (as thundurus has a better movepool, and dual-stab, wheras tornadus just has mono-stab/best move being hurricane). Reshiram (in today's competitive uber tier) is entirely useless, as the fire stab tends to hit most things for nve, wheras zekrom (the pkmn from white version) has a dual stab he can abuse fully on threats like kyogre. Black city is only really there if you want to make obscene profit (10 trainers, 10k each per win), wheras white forest gives you essentially free access to every major ou tier threat (blissey from happiny, porygon2 from porygon, magnezone from magnemite). As for the playthrough game differences, petlil is better than cottonee, and reuniclus is far better than gothitelle (until dw abilities are released). Minor differences include black having access to murkrow/breloom, compared to white having access to parasect/misdreavus. But aside from all that, they're essentially the same game /sarcasm/. Oh, and I just found out 2 interesting things. Paras/parasect are the only pkmn who can have more than a 4x weakness (they have a 5x weakness to fire in sun/with dry skin). Oh, and smeargle has the lowest base-stat total among all mono-move learning pkmn.

Meh, calgary shouldn't get any breaks. They split up their best duo at the start of the season (phaneuf/iginla), then immediately start to skid. They are in essense, the complete opposite of the leafs (if you factor in giguere).

@star: best way to counter it is by asking those people if they've done something in the 3rd person (ie: asking 'does ____ want to do ____?'). Worked for me back when my parents tried to do that in '97. Oh, and another thing that I don't really get/find useless: male cheerleaders. I get why they have women cheerleaders (to get the attention of men during sporting events during breaks), but male cheerleaders? I'm pretty sure women aren't curious to know if any of the male cheerleaders are single...

Great scott! A thread from 5 months ago! What a long strange trip it's been! In all seriousness, I think windwaker, hands down, had the greatest boss-battle music. Music was catchy, and enabled the player to groove while fighting cartooney bosses. Best adventure/playthrough music: metroid prime/prime2 (especially the santuary fortress music). Prime3 would get a mention, if it wasn't for the fact that aside from the gandrayda battle, the music is essentially a cruddier version of the cod-mw2 music.

Really? I thought my full 1/2 page 'rant' on why black is inferior to white kinda changed everyone's opinion. Truth be told: getting black does have some benefits. You're essentially giving up thundurus, zekrom, happiny, porygon, slakoth, magnemite, wooper, and about 50 other dex entries/pkmn for breloom, reshiram, the heavily-inferior tornadus, and a city that can net you quite a bit of money (should you choose, for some unknown reason, to use the trick I posted above).

Well, in the longrun, hype never really helps your chances at winning the calder. That and their teams were already good/cruddy, meaning that their talents were practically unnoticed (if you stick a grain of rice in a jar of marbles, the marbles tend to get noticed more than the rice).

Tbh though, calder has never been kind to goaltenders. Remember valamov's rookie season? He goes 35/9/6 with a gaa under 2, yet he isn't even in the top 3.
