  1. Ae, dis swurd shud b ehbul tu fiyur othur wepuns tuu, am aie riet?
  2. Ok, now you're starting to lose me. Magic xp uses runes to give you xp, the same way any real skill uses (item) to get xp. What you're suggesting though is highly illogical....it'd be like suggesting that people should gain xp every time their stats get drained. Highly illogical, and would be heavily abused (especially by, say, hopping across the zammy god wars dungeon bridge with an inv of pray pots?)
  3. I'd actually like to see what happens next in the series, seeing as the next runes are, iirc, nature, astral, and law. It'd be interesting if they tie in the astral ones with the lunar spells....maybe make their spells work twice as effective while wearing the armor?
  4. Wits is a nerd? I assumed we all thought of her as a generic dominatrix/lazy-b'ch....
  5. I made close to 3 grande off my university's one last year. Had philly winning the east, chicago winning the west, and as my 'specialty pick', I had the 7th in east making the s.c.f.
  6. I wish I was jewish...then I'd be able to write better jokes for goony...
  7. In america, guns kill people. In soviet russia, people kill guns! (Yechov smirnov reference...couldn't resist)
  8. I think the whole-ash thing buried your point. Get it? Whole-ash...ash-whole! Seriously though, I'd kinda like to see a sliding scale for it. Maybe have bones give you normal xp, then 1 extra xp per pray lvl?
  9. Watched despicable me earlier...thought it was interesting. Weird to see steve carell in an animated role, especially since he's done so many better non-animated ones recently (dinner for schmucks/date night).
  10. A fraction? Conklin makes 1m per year, but has the same effectiveness as the best goalies in the nhl. Oh, and I have an idea for this thread: we should all do a mini playoff pool once the playoffs start. Oh, and you can add osgood/khabibulin to that goalie list, mind you I'm pretty sure that osgood is gonna get a new contract so long as detroit avoids going after nabokov.
  11. By god shiny, it's like every picture you take is so serious. Ever thought of being an abercrombie model?
  12. Let's take a look at the available ufa goalies this year: Tomas vokoun- cruddy, but better than the current toronto ones Ty conklin- has a vast amount of playoff experience (played for detroit and pittsburg during their cup wins) Manny legace- not that good, but would still be good as a tutor/mentor for their young goalies Compared to toronto's current goalies, these 3 are waaay better. Hell, for a mere 4m cap hit, they could get conklin AND a good backup. Bryzgalov is never going to leave pheonix, seeing as he's too needed there, and without him, the coyotes are a sub-par team at best. Not to mention the fact that he still has 2 years left on his 3yr/11.5m contract.
  13. It's the fally massacre all over again! Run for your virtual lives!
  14. The wall gets banned from the tip.it forums! 13hp
  15. ><...At least he didn't give her a ____ in a box, otherwise it'd just be awkward and disgusting.
  16. Well, the new chaos/cosmic armor should be interesting if the def stats are good...at least for new p2pers too poor/cheap to buy rune armor...
  17. Wait...toronto has 4 decent goalies? When did that happen? Seriously though, yguy, I disagree with you on that part. Giguere stinks, gustavvson is unreliable, and reimer, although semi-decent, will never push them past the first round. Conklin has playoff experience, is a reliable goalie, and is cheap. To the toronto maple last-place-team: get rid of giguere, get rid of gustavsson, pray to god that conklin doesn't sign with florida, and pounce on the open market.
  18. It's not a matter of 'wanting conklin', it's a matter of 'needing him'. The leafs have always lacked a solid backup goalie, so much so that it's costed them plenty of chances at making the playoffs over the past few years. Conklin is a good solid backup that they can turn to should their number 1 get injured.
  19. Pokemon white is surprisingly decent. Have only gotten past the first gym though, seeing as I've been too busy building this new deck. Graphics are a hell of a lot better though, and the new pkmn are...interesting
  20. Weird...I thought for sure that the leafs would pounce on the goalie market today. Meh, I guess they'll be waiting till july 1st to pick conklin up...
  21. a few years ago, pogge was supposed to be their 'goalie of the future', same with elliot in ottawa and holmqvist in tampa. Times have changed though, nowadays, gm's get rid of goalies whenever they suffer more than one bad season in a row. At the end of the season, my prediction is: Either gustavsson, and/or giguere get traded to nashville/st louis in exchange for a semi-decent forward, or a couple of picks.

  23. Lol...viewtiful joe is in this game? God, the last time I saw him was, well, the last time we saw a legitimately good street fighter game...

  25. Naw...if gustavsson gets too good, then they'll trade him away like they did pogge. What toronto needs is a top 6 forward, and a rebuild of their entire defensive core. They started that last season by bringing in phaneuf, but failed to do much else since. Should be interesting though tomorrow, seeing as 3 teams have sh'tloads of draft picks (florida, colorado, anaheim), and toronto just happens to have what those teams are despirate for...
