Airbrush contest.
About 7 minutes in PS 5... no smudge tool, all brush.

I finally did it! *Finished Kinda* final comments thanks
I have to be honest, when I saw this in its beginning stages I didn't want to post; I thought my honesty would compromise our friendship. :P Ok well it wasn't that bad, but I felt it needed alot of work. I look at it now though, and I must say that my jaw is on the floor and I can't pick it up. That's phenomenal, it'd be a challenge to do that even with a tablet.... Keep up the great work, you never cease to amaze.

armored woman UPDATE: LESS BLURRY, hair, etc@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Yeah, your brushes are really soft on here, and on alot of your other work. It isn't blurry as in bad quality, it's just... blurry... as in... fuzzy brushed... if that makes any sense. I like the smaller version better because of how it gets rid of the prementioned blurriness. I'm not too sure about the pose... It's interesting, but what is it doing? She looks like some robot doing a techno dance or something... or some egyptian style peck dance... Shading is good, I like how you added the stronger highlights on the armour; now do the same to the blade. Good work. Just some suggestions.

Making 2 Pixel-sigs for the highest bidders!
Ahh froth beat me to it, but just wanted to say that I love those 2 sigs you posted... seems you do well in everything you do. Good work.

New Sig!
What would it look like with another river snaking its way around the W or somewhere close to it? Right now the visual balance is off... I understand you don't want too much stuff, but it might make it look better and get some of these "it's too simple" fools off of your back. ;)

New Sig! Mmm....Nostalgia
Yeah I remember that I checked your thread the other day, and you put one in somebody elses. Then you made a point of saying, "I hand drew that logo" or something along those lines... So I figured it would make your day if I mentioned it. But it does look good, either way. Nice work again. ;)

Brushing Help Needed
Just get alot of reference and look at what you see... Right now the shading is decent but you need to define the petals so we can tell what it is more easily. And don't ask what I'm doing up at 4am.

No real crits from me... looks really good. I really like that little logo thing you did, looks really cool. Nice job froth.. :)

Comments on this work..clan banner
I'd say your text is a bit off... It seems to stretch horizontally more than it should... I would raise the height a bit and then maybe unslant it a tad... I think the face is a bit overburned as well. I'm guessing you were trying to emphasize the helmet - and that's good. But I think losing all that detail on the face is bad. Also, the buttons on the sides of the helmet stick out more than eyes. This is bad too, because on first glance, it makes those buttons look like the eyes, which makes it look like the face is distored. I would probably suggest lightening up the face, and more specifically the area around the eyes; or eliminate the brightness on the buttons. Hope this helps. :) /edit - I just realized that the bright blotch is coming from the cheek bone. I would definitely bring down the brightness on that spot; it wouldn't really be there...

Kinda... throw-upy... Might consider a different color... ;) I'd also bring the text down a few clicks, doesn't look as good right on the top border... :)

A signature is not supposed to be some huge display of your graphical talent. That's what the portfolio is for. I bet you feel like a [wagon] now that Victim said he wasn't even going for that style. You are one hell of an idiot.... Wow... you certainly are a moron.

I haven't done any research into the style? Here's an image off of the first page of Google when you type in "manga". http://www.artoki.co.uk/artwork/oriuyoangelcel.jpg Now tell me, how does that, in any way - shape - form - or fashion reflect what was posted by Victim? The shading is totally different. In the above image, shapes and lines are used to shade, where Victim uses a burn tool and has very soft shade transitions. Not to mention, the shading isn't even consistent. But that isn't even the point. The point is that the shading needs alot of work, and the only way to improve on it is to read up and learn. Look at pictures, read books, do something to educate yourself on your subject. It doesn't matter if you intended the shading to look like that; it still sucks. As I said before, art CAN suck, and you know you are [developmentally delayed]ed when you go around saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, only to defend your own work. Why bother posting if all you want is praise? Don't try and criticise me about styles, I assure you I can best you in them all. If I wanted to sugar coat it, I would have. I have no problem telling somebody that they suck. Nobody died and made me king, I can say whatever I want. Based on your logic, you cannot tell me that I can't say that, because the opinion that some opinions can be wrong is just that; an opinion. Still with me? I don't care what you are fed up with, this isn't the healing heart clinic where you come and discuss your social problems and you are too much of a loser to be accepted to the rest of society. Want to get more personal? Keep responding, I can go all day. I have never gone around saying that my work is the best there is, but I do know that when someone is stupid enough to compare me to something as lame as this, then they are just talking out of their [wagon]. And yeah, you owned me with the eye comment. I got nothin...

Some lipstick for ya...
Yeah.... I think maybe the lipstick might be too reflective? I dunno.. alot of the stuff I saw on google was kinda shiny, but then again, I'm a noob at all of this so nothing's going to be spectacular... I'll try and make it a bit darker and lose some reflectivity.. that might help. Right now it IS black, but since I have so many lights (about 6) it is fading the black into gray... I'll figure it out sooner or later, things like this just help me better learn the program. Thanks for the crits.. :)

Wow. You have no idea what you are saying. I think you even confused yourself on that one. What else did you want me to tell him? Did you want me to hold his hand and do it for him? You aren't going to get very far in life you can't take advice like "go read something, go learn something" to figure out how to do something.... Wow...

You're right. I should have given him a lesson in anatomy and shading the human body. Because I have time for that. Your name alone disgraces you and discourages me from wanting to continue this oh-so-fun thread.

Looks like a sea urchin mixed plus a cactus divided by a cucumber. Haha. Cool.

The proportion thing is just an optical illusion, I assure you it is symmetrical on both sides of the yellow band... The color is off because I messed it up. I do need to fix that. In the render it is the correct color, but I was color correcting in photoshop and I messed it up without noticing I guess. I'm looking here at the render and it's fine. Thanks for noticing that ;) One of the things I did notice is that I forgot to render the shadow pass. I'll do that later... I just don't feel like opening this back up... I really need to work on my modeling, any suggestions?

He never asked you to agree with him whether or not I am a knowledgable person. You obviously have something against me, and are trying to bring it on this thread. If you want to talk about something, feel free to PM me. Sorry, but opinions can be wrong, and in this case, yours is. When I say accurate, it's obvious that I mean that the shading does not match what you would see in real life. Or even on a cartoon for that matter. It's blotchy and inconsistent. It's too smooth. Parts of the illustration (the black lines) are cut off, which tells me you didn't even use the fill tool correctly. Don't be naive about that the fact that someone or something needs improvement just because you think you are an artist and that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Art can suck.

Some lipstick for ya...
Ehh.. didn't really get around to the ice thing.... made a new model for it but didn't set it up so I can't show you... don't feel like messing with it... Not much happening here at work with the holidays, so I basically just come in every day and play with everything... This here was just me being bored and messing around with some lighting and reflections, along with a simple model I made of some lipstick (don't ask). What's wrong with it, what could make it better, and what do you think about it? I did a little bit of post work in PS, nothing really major, just had a few irregular bends in the model that I didn't see until after I rendered, so I fixed them... Uhh... I think that's about it... I'll show the new ice sometime too... Unfortunately for me, I suck at modeling. :-?

Needs alot of work... I don't know what to suggest, other than you should study how to shade the human body and stuff like that.... That isn't at all accurate, and the hair needs work too.

Need some feed back on my ice....
I'm going for an ice effect... this is just a test... but I wondering if anyone could help me out on what I could do to make it more icey... I was going to add some sort of wavy displacement or something but I dunno... I'm a bit new to this program so my abilities are abit limited.... What else would make this more icey? Eventually it's going to become an ice character... like an ice monster type thing... Thanks..

Dark Blue Sig? Rate/
Looks interesting.... what are you using to make these? I like the style though. :)
