  1. Wow... uhh.. I was gonna start critiquing this, until I read that you weren't going to change anything anyway... so why bother. Another great post by yours truly.
  2. Awww poor baby....
  3. Still like the palm tree one... :)
  4. How about a big [bleep]ing asteroid about to impact the earth.
  5. Wow... let me draw a text version of that last picture.... ________ ________ ________ There we go. Your mountains look "cool" and your atmosphere seems to be working ok (although it will probably change when you correct your levels, which you need to do btw).... but your composition is horrible... break some lines.
  6. Landscape creation is all about composition. Sure, maybe one of these guys can teach you how to apply a better surface map, but an eye for a design is a must, and so is knowledge as to what you want to accomplish before you make it. Having said that, I have yet to find a good terragen image that doesn't bore me. Mountain + Valley + Sun + Bright Highlights = terragen. Most every terragen image has those elements, and quite frankly they are getting old... I think one thing that would impress me is for people to start making their own land formations. Different types of rocks and mountains, distinct land formations... Come up with something new please...
  7. Ok let's see... First thing I would do is add something to further the theme... right now it's just an over exposed landscape... doesn't seem like the end of the world or whatever trendwhore theme you were trying to accomplish.... Second of course I would work on the text, and I would lose the pixel-stroked stuff... it's lame and always has been... Look at other peoples art that you like and see how they use their text, go from there. Personally I don't even see a need for the text, but to each his own.
  8. Well Ford, when you say stupid [cabbage] like that, I'm suprised more people didn't call you on it. Do you know anything about art history?
  9. Liking chii's.... but what are you going to put instead of Sample? Looks like it will through the balance off. Some nice looking stuff you have here; keep it up.
  10. weird, like a modern age picasso! Oh please shut up.
  11. I don't remember the last time I didn't use the pen tool for whatever I was working on...
  12. Interesting... I was just commissioned to do an animated spot for a film production group... "Outside the Box." They wanted a brain like that popping out of a box. My first hour of research turned up absolutely nothing as far as a good brain reference. Maybe I can contract you to draw the brain for me. More info later. Good work, I like the illustration.
  13. Pretty sure my name was on the list for #2..... Move that one to #6 or something...
  14. I assure you, lack of playing that game has definitely not ruined my mind. I'd argue quite the contrary.
  15. Fair enough. I haven't played in 3 years; might explain my confusion. Either way my opinion stands as to the dead tree in the middle of the green field.
  16. Maybe EugenyG's topic made me notice it more... but wow... What in the hell are you talking about? Those are amateur freehand drawings... it's blatantly obvious... premade? Wtf.... Are you trying to be thick or is it natural...
  17. Volcano... dead tree... green grass... wilderness sign.... uhhh?
  18. I don't see how entangles comment was that far from the truth.... You don't have to know how you did that to know that your composition leaves alot to be desired.
  19. Enlighten me as to how this has your own "twist." Damn if I hear that phrase again; well let's just pray I don't.
  20. If you listen to anything GSW says be prepared to pay the price.
  21. Actually Cameron, GIF would not really be such a good choice. With everyone using different colors on each piece, there is no way you are going to have only 256 colors. JPG saved at a very high quality would be better than a GIF. With a GIF you are going to lose a significant amount of color. Save it as a PSD until you get everything, otherwise your JPG will deteriorate. Then save the final piece as the JPG. That's probably the best bet for this type of project.
  22. How about a hi-res version so I can see it better? :P
  23. ..... For a while you had me going that you were an artist with alot of potential. Judging by your last few posts, however, it leads me to rescind that ideal. Stop limiting yourself by only naming artists who you think would know. Not only does it make you look inferior to them, it also disenchants other users from wanting to help you. Nobody can give you a lesson in drawing. That's an assumed skill when entering into the field of computer graphics. If you want to do it right, I suggest you download alot of references from the internet. Then get out your sketchbook and make about 20 thumbnails of different ideas. Refine those you like, discard those you don't. Choose one, detail it in, and go from there. Don't expect to just use some contour line style to draw out a horse. You are going to have to draw out some gesture lines before you pixel it, if you want it to look right. But on that note, pixel is a waste of time when compared to real brushing. That's for another day.
  24. I don't know if I like the idea of RUNETIPS whoring itself on top of the image....
  25. Is it the Odd Todd stuff? Looks kinda like his style....
