I'd rather have the ability to make duel-arena only pures. You could just set the stats yourself or whatever. Just a little dream of mine haha

I dunno, I've tanked Aviansies before with 70 defense and made a large profit. You will make the money back from the initial cost; it takes dedication. But seeing as you can bank quickly, I guess prayer works too.

I read about the Defender of Varrock cave and it seemed good; then I read the posts and people said they were not getting the XP they wanted. Right now I'm 75 attack, 76 strength, 70 defense. Inventories and setups would be a plus :) Another problem for me is that to do DoV, I would have to do a huuuuuge quest chain and get my agility to 51. Not really what I wanted.

This IS my main. It's just a...pure main? I had a main before and it just wasn't as fun.

So what do you suggest? Be a "barrows" pure? That was completely pointless.

The calcs aren't 100% accurate. There is room for ±1 point of damage.

Right now I am a typical 1 defense pure. I recently read a guide that made me want to make a 45 defense berserker rune pure, as they can do more quests and skills. However, the guide was a bit outdated. Do berserker pures still own? (at 106 combat, mid-crater) If not, what is a better type of pure or pker? Does switching combat from ranged-based to melee-based give you an extra combat level? The other option I thought of was this: 70 attack 99 strength 1 defense 99 hp 99 ranged 99 magic 1 prayer 79 combat. Thanks. -ex

It would be great if they could incorporate this into the game. A highscores list with the best times would be awesome. RIght now, I can't do it with my stats, but it's a great idea.

Yeah, I think this could happen. It all depends on internet access. People with cruddy internet (or worse, none) wouldn't be able to play. EDIT: I just signed up for the beta; the whole scheme looks INCREDIBLE. I can't wait to try it.

Yeah, I beat pokemon blue back in the day. Caught missingno too! I've played a few of the new ones and they really haven't introduced any new gameplay mechanics. Shame.

The home teleport issue is old, but if you're going with the theme of players complaining over everything, I agree. Home teleport is a godsend most times; I really don't have to go into detail. I think opening the duel arena to F2P was cool, too, and most of the updates Jagex does. I am starting to think that it's a habit of Rs players to shout down any new ideas Jagex has.

Absolutely. Everyone acts like Jagex waits a few weeks, for fun, before releasing updates; they are really working hard the entire time. I completely agree about mining, too.

Cake stalls once you have the required level. Shouldn' take more than a few hours tops.

Thanks for the info! I would use the secateurs if I could, but I can't do FTP1 :( Priest in Peril gives me Prayer xp - can't go to Morytania, unfortunately. Fairy Tale part 1 has quest requirements a 1 def pure cannot meet.
