I currently have about 200k, which I was planning on investing into Farming, because I have done that on one of my old accounts for money. I am not going to do Runecrafting because most of the better methods require skills I can't use (or quests).

new question: would getting 85 mining by powermining iron be better than other moneymaking options? At 85 I would mine rune, yadda yadda yadda. What other good ways are there for pures to make money? Hey TIF! I have a few questions to ask, since I pretty much started over with RS with the hopes of becoming a decent Range pure. 1. Is Farming a good moneymaker even without the Magic Secateurs? 2. Can I do Farming without raising other skills to pay for Farming? 3. What is a good Herb farming route, with allotment patches included? (unrelated to farming) 4. I have to say that I am grateful for that huge number of help desk employees. Without them, the Stolen Password system would not work as efficiently or quickly as it does now. Usually, the system recovers your account within an hour; fast enough so that your stuff isn't harmed. I think this is very important to many players. However, I would really like to see the release of Mechscape by Q2 at the latest.

Fly fishing in Shilo will give you around 45k xp per hour, making it 289.6 hours.

Once you have 5 boxes, I believe chins are the fastest xp. You crowd all the boxes around a spawn and shoot the chinchompa if he gets away. :D

Not in the case of Defense Pures. Using the tip.it max hit calc, even a (impossible) 300 strength bonus would allow us to hit a max of 2. :lol: Because of this, we need to use other resources to train.

It would definitely lag like crazy. The problem with the RS engine is that it loads the map as you go, so it would be loading much more often. If they could get around that limitation, I don't think it should be a skill. You just buy a horse for like 10 mil (to keep out the noobs :-) and ride around. That would be cool.

Honestly, sometimes I wish they DID control the economy. It would make productions skills profitable again. Just because something is controlled does not always mean it's a bad thing. I think rares should be independent of this control, however.

How about untradeable high-level armor? The smithing and defense levels could be equal. As in, at 40 smithing, you could make a full rune set. This is more of the level range players need. Before you say this would ruin everything, it would make Rune armor's value fall. But that would be okay, because at higher levels, you could make some more ultra-powerful armor. The differences between armors would be slight but still significant. It would definitely make Smithing more than a show-off skill.

Essence or Gold would probably be your best bet.

Ah. Well just saying that all the money that you're saving you're effectively earning through tanning, which makes about 350k an hour. Since most people 80 combat or above can make at least 400k/hour at green dragons (I make 600-650k), tanning by and large is inefficient. Thanks for the info! However, I can't really fight green dragons because I am a defense pure. Sorry, I left that info out. Good suggestion though. I would probably go for tanning them myself. Does anyone know xp/hour or time including needles?

Good suggestion. However, if he's looking for money, he probably cannot afford a 2-3m gp setup. I say get your Hunter up and hunt grey/red chins. People lately are buying Greys because of the cost vs. experience they give. Woodcutting is another option.

I dont remember resets (doubt it to begin with) but the High Scores removed thing's been around for a good 4 years that I can remember back to. Actually, back in either 2004 or 2006, Jagex had a mass unbanning of all the players that were stuck in the Black Hole thing. They reset all of the players' stats back to 1 (even hitpoints!). There is a skiller with like 2 hp or something like that; it's freaking awesome IMO. On topic: Yeah, I agree your friend shouldn't have boasted about those stats. But I guess everyone has tendencies to brag sometime. that doesn't make it right though.

I was bored and since my old name was linked to my old account that I don't play anymore, it was kind of pointless. I like my new one :)
