  1. Well, once you get bored of rcing you should try it (if you ever do get bored that is). :P Duo'd with Zhong and trio'd with Plasma and Robbence today. I really, really don't want 90 combat now. Luckily it stayed at 84. >.< Oh and: <_<
  2. Actually, even when you kill the boss, you would still get the same amount of exp if you leave (but NO TOKENS FFS). Yeah, something has to be done about the solo dungeon problem. Perhaps make that dungeon "saved" onto your character until you either finish it or completely quit it?
  3. Hydras are definitely weak to slash, as I tested. Same with forgotten rangers (though stab works well too). All 3 dragon types (frost, green, iron) are obviously weak to stab. Icefiends tend to be destroyed with stab too, so do both trolls. High-level forgotten warriors, be it male or female, aren't weak to any melee style. Magic is the only effective way to kill these. Brutes are weak to crush, I think. Oh, and let me say this one more time: range =/= stab. Astea Frostweb definitely has a good defense against all melee/magic attacks, while I hit her often with ranged.
  4. Sorry if I'm bumping a really old thread, but I just had to throw this out. (Directly copied from the F2P can't have thread.) Ok, first of all, why do you say F2P "deserves" something? It's more like F2P needs that stuff. Don't think of F2P as another one of those ripped off demos. Jagex made a F2P game, because it was F2P to begin with. It has nothing to do with their generosity (though some may argue that). Now, to the actual topic. The only thing that F2P "deserves" is Fletching. Why? Because of the following reasons: - You can make melee and magic stuff. No ranged stuff? - In dungeoneering, ranged/magic are at a disadvantage with weapons (bows/arrows/staffs require fletch) - It's a noob 99, as most members say. So I suggest the following: - Can only fletch shortbows/longbows up to maple, and arrows up to adamant. - Can only fletch bows/arrows/staffs up to tier 5 (spinebeam/fractite) in Dungeoneering. - Smithing: Smith arrowtips. - Flax field: Perhaps add one in Falador? It ought to make that place more popular. What I don't want (just about everything else that has been suggested): - More bank space: If you are complaining about this, you have organization issues. - Other P2P skills: They just don't fit in IMO. - Chaos altar: What's the point? - Green dragons: Dungeoneering already has frost/green/iron, and since it makes too much money on P2P it will make F2P moneymaking too easy. - Yew bow/rune arrows: Maple longbow sight says hi. - Armor: Melee and ranged are good enough, magic just requires you to play a not-so-hard to learn minigame. - More quests/diaries: I'll be happy if they are given by Jagex, but I personally don't care. - Skillcapes: No, just no. - More minigames: Dungeoneering is already a great "minigame", as is FOG and GOP. I don't think we need anymore. - Crossbows: Again, maple longbow sight says hi. - Blue dragonhide: Just, no. - Easier ways to train prayer: Do you honestly need that high of a prayer level in F2P? - Boss monsters: Dungeoneering bosses say hi. And some actually require strategy. - Certain members' areas: Again, no point. - Spears/Claws/Halberds: ... - Poison: Yeah, go ahead and add something that will be VERY annoying. The ONLY other thing that should be given to F2P are boots up to rune, but I could care less about it tbh. Oh and F2P doesn't "deserve" to have member disadvantages in Dungeoneering. Why put doors and puzzles that require member skills/levels to open? And monkfish? That's kinda overkill imo.
  5. When you played with that level 110 friend, were these kind of monsters far more common? I'm going to say that playing a 5-man large (difficulty 5, of course) on furnished floors, all high levels, WILL grant a lot of high-level monsters, along with an extremely hard boss. And I thought Jagex won't give any more high level content to F2Pers. You mean you don't get Bulwark Beasts as often in abandoned floors?
  6. *points to sig* Someone should set up a Tip.It P2P dungeoneering chat though...
  7. If only I actually had more playtime, I would have gotten more dungeoneering levels, lolz. And for some reason, on the Abandoned floors, I keep encountering the Bulwark Beast, and I have never gotten the Unholy Cursebearer. Is there anything wrong?
  8. Congrats on the AOW, Speed! :D
  9. To clarify: Daggers, Rapiers, Shortbows: Speed 6 Longswords, Spears, Battleaxes, Warhammers, Longbows, Staffs: Speed 5 2-handers, Mauls: Speed 4
  10. Hehe thanks. I don't want to get a gravite weapon though, it's not worth the trouble in my opinion.
  11. About the party interface tab, IMO it should have a place for a whole new tab. That way, you don't have to always open the party interface, and it won't block the quest list.
  12. Even in a party, I usually no-arm. Since bosses are stronger, they have more defense, so combat triangle switching is required. Not to mention level 110 forgotten NPCs.
  13. Oh RIIIIIIGHT... sorry, went kinda off topic lolz. In that case, scimitar wins, hands down. (But styles matter a lot in Dungeoneering (not regular Runescape). It's a FACT.)
  14. Guys, he's not complaining how he can't get the banner flag. He's complaining about how others are whining about the flag. Think before you guys flame. <_<
  15. Youmu replied to Vyleo's topic in Rants
Sigh... that leader definitely sucks. (Come to my F2P Dungeon clan? :P ) You only get the "leecher" title if you did absolutely nothing in the dungeon. As pies pointed out, you can use food on others to heal them. But then again, if you joined in the fight, the monsters can be killed faster. But if it's something like a level 110 warrior (yes, they do appear on F2P)... well, good luck.
  16. Actually, at the 80-89 combat range, it's the most effective for Dungeoneering. Not only can you kill monsters at a decent rate, but you still get full exp for the dungeons. Speaking of which, Zhong, Plasma, and I met a level 110-ish forgotten mage (supposedly tier 10). And that's only on difficulty 3, medium, furnished floors. I can't imagine the difficulty of killing a tier 11 monster... or even extremely high level bosses (level 200+).
  17. Did some duos and trios with Zhong and Plasma.
  18. It IS an NPC. The arrow on it means that it is a marked NPC.
  19. Try complexity 2, I always get tier 5 items from all points of the combat triangle from there.
  20. Killing monsters add to your level modifier count, so it IS worth it to kill all monsters.
  21. Yes, my table ALWAYS contain some fractite items. I'm guessing the items on the table is based off your dominant combat stat. Since my dominant combat stat is melee, I get melee items.
  22. @ Bladewing and doc_roe: I only used player quantity as an example, please don't take it TOO seriously. ^_^; @ Dougymc (Unkn0wn): Once you get to the abandoned/furnished levels, you will see members doors and puzzles more often.
  23. 2 more levels, my goal of 50 is getting close.
  24. I'm not saying F2P is superior or whatnot. In fact, I really don't like it when members look F2P down (or even the other way around). My opinion is that they are equal, as I wrote in one of my posts earlier: I just really hate it when F2P/P2P wars happen so much. Also, I don't like the fact that on every single F2P thread, at least one person will go "F2P don't pay". That irritates me too, at least come up with a less used reason.
  25. I never start with spinebeam short/long though... only like blood spindle at max. <_< I'll bind the catalytic staff then, since there should be plenty of cash for me to buy essence. And ranged definitely isn't the same as stab, last time I checked.
