GAAAAAH!
Lol. I actually didn't go into wild, I just home tele'd to edgeville thinking I could make it the 3 steps there without getting massacred. Obviously, I thought wrong. And besides, I was just venting my frustration then. Frustration over and gone, no need for this topic any more. Dude, Edge in pking is like wallstreet for trading. That's almost like saying in caps: "KILL ME! I HAS A BLUE PHAT AND 2^32-1 GP ON ME! I'M ALSO SKULLED AND HAVE 0 PRAYER POINTS LEFTS WITH NO-" At that point, you'd be dead. Yeah, I think I know that now. -.-

The End of Runescape
What's a life? I read about them in a book once, it told me to go outside. I did, the graphics were horrible. Well, is there anything beneficial to having one? If not, I'm surprised these people who do have a "life" haven't all realized its inefficiency yet.

GAAAAAH!
Lol, yeah about the skillers. And, i know it's the wild, you're supposed to enter knowing you'll lose everything, blah blah blah.... DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE TO ENJOY IT? NO. Also, a small suggestion: Could they add a teleport for Ancients that takes you to a safe area in PvP? Or just move the home tele to Edgeville Bank instead of just plain Edgeville. And my desire to lock this topic still stands. So if a mod sees this, lock this topic so that it may die.

GAAAAAH!
STUPID PKERS WON'T LET YOU WALK 3 FEET WITHOUT GETTING THE CRAP SHOT OUTTA YOU! GAH! Okay, I'm better now. Edit: AW CRAP, I HIT THE SUBMIT BUTTON. Please no attempts at coherent suggestions and/or arguments here, could a mod please just lock this?

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
I don't buy your losing money argument. Who cares if 1% of profits were being lost, Jagex was still pocketing the other 99% there was no need to get greedy. Jagex was EARNING more back then than they probably are now. There were more players then. Now F2P is better and it seems every other player on F2P is an ex-member. Jagex took a risk with the way they implemented trade restrictions and wiped out old wildy which was integral to the game. They knew some players would quit and they went through with it anyway. Now they aren't as quick to let players quit, notice how they responded promptly with 1-item worlds as pker's cancelled their memberships. I think they've realized that one lost player represents a lot of lost players. This is all water under the bridge now, I think if they even brought back free trade and old wildy RS wouldn't be as popular. Greed was the motivation to make skills easier to cater to new players. They did drop the ball though, once skills are easier there are more higher level players who ask, now what. It would have been logical to make higher level content, but this is something they are staying away from for whatever reason. This year of upgrades would have been the perfect time to fill out skills instead we got nerfed agility. Also it's a joke that they advertise regular new content on the new ad they've put up when you get to the RS page. We haven't seen regular content for the past 8 months. False advertising to new potential customers, how Jagex. Rofl @ don't buy money losing argument. Yes, they got rid of the old wild and put up trade restrictions. It's done and over with now, if you haven't gotten over it, go on the RSOF. They get more support for that type of junk there. Yes, now they aren't as fast to let players quit, namely because they don't want players to quit. :o Trade restrictions were due to RWT and scamming. The reasoning behind getting rid of these is obvious - they're AGAINST THE RULES. And they were still going on, so Jagex did something about it. Do you expect cops to just sit around eating donuts while crimes are going on across the city/state/country/universe/whatever, just because they'd be inhibiting the traffic and disturbing the peace of taxpayers with their loud sirens and speedy(ish) patrol cars? And for the millionth time, THEY DIDN'T NERF AGILITY. If anything, I now have more reason to train agility - the onnly "nerf" there was was being unable to use it in F2P, which was unfair anyways. And they DO put out regular content, and HAVE been putting out regular content. It just so happens that you don't deem them high-quality and/or useful enough.

I do skill. As for boss hunting, I don't get accepted into any teams because I'm too low str and/or range level. And I definitely can't solo any of the big bosses. And from what I've heard, skillers and boss hunters are usually idiots as much as PKers. PKers just have more of a reputation. Then what's left if skillers, boss hunters, and pkers are all idiots? I didn't say they were ALL idiots. I said that they usually are. And as for what's left...? Idk, people on Tutorial Island?

Oh, how much fun it would be if they made Firemaking a part of PvP... BURN U NOOBZ BURN!

Exactly! Apparently people don't have the cognitive capability to understand what "Player behavior rants" mean... Oh yeah, I forgot, the rants forum would be very empty soon...and that thread would need a 50-page monster... That and, with so many posts, there probably wouldn't be any room for relative discussion on that topic, just 50 rants/sec of people whining about people. What discussion? :? You and Ratchet yelling at each other. But seriously, I've learned a bit from reading these forums, and it would be hard to reply to someone's specific rant if all the "oh noes people are bad" rants were all in one topic.

Me or the Knights Who Spam "Noob"? And yes, that was a very obvious Monty Python reference. You go pk'ing enough, it gets boring waiting around. I see a lot of people start fights just like that purposely. Not because they're stupid, but because often it's entertaining getting in dumb arguments over just waiting around. P.S.: Ni. True, but they were standing in a safezone next to me, so it was just a waste of time. And from the looks of it, neither of them were very accomplished PKers. P.S.: AGGGH! MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE!

Why can't F2P have...?
Very true. Honestly, it's stupid to pay for a VIRTUAL thing that you can't sell or anything. All it can do is let you have fun. And f2p is already fun enough. So what's the point of membership, honestly. To have MORE fun. After all, you can't exactly freeze ancient overpowered ghosts to death and steal their armor on F2P. And that's one thing I enjoy doing. Fun is a subjective term. Most people subscribe to members to have more fun. But what's the point, honestly? Grinding at skills more quickly, doing more repetitive and quests with storylines I couldn't care less about, playing minigames which are probably full of freeloaders, unfairness and annoying people? You nailed it when you said that fun is a subjective term. I think that member's is more fun, thus, I pay for more fun. You don't, and so you don't pay for it because you don't think it's as much fun.

LOLZ U FAIL NERD GET OUTTA YOUR MOMS BASEMENT ^ That's what you'll get from about 90% of the RS population if you kill them, try to kill them, get killed by them, escape being killed by them, step within 3 feet of "their" tree, fire, rock, hellhound, whatever. I guess this rant is about that most people are SOMEWHAT intelligent (they've survived up to this point, right?) and yet they're stupid enough to not show it. Contradiction much? : Sort of. But if you think about it, not really. (Look, another contradiction! ) They have some level of intelligence - they have to have in order to figure out how to type and/or get on a PvP world - but yet they're stupid enough to call someone "noob" every 3 seconds, even if they know it does nobody any good, and then one of them even has the stupidity/nerve to ask to be my girlfriend. I guess it's because they think that since it's anonymous, there's no consequence. And, sadly enough, to them, there really is no consequence other than having someone angry at them and having wasted their time. What they don't realize is that time is one of the most precious resources of all... This is a perfect example of people doing stupid things because they think that the action outweighs the consequence, when the consequence outweighs the action, thus showing that they are still somewhat idiotic... So I guess the point is: You don't have to be smart to show some decency, manners, etc., and you don't have to be "developmentally delayed" to be a jerk, moron, etc. Intelligence has very little, if any, link to how it is used.

No Update Week
[hide=Reply stack of DOOM] I posted that on the 2nd page. Sorry for not spelling it out more. I said that so that someone wouldn't bring up the Rest, Randoms, Path Finding and claim that I was underestimating the time they put into them. Guess you went ahead and did it anyway, lol To be fair, I had already brought those up as examples of how the upgrades are really great improvements to the game. Things like the sortable spell interface really don't deserve to be a headline update. The trouble with spending the extra time to get things right is that you don't get it wrong the first time, so nobody notices all the things you fixed before the release. I'm giving Jagex the benefit of the doubt after seeing the initial messes we got out of Vinesweeper and SC and Bounty Hunter; nothing similarly stupid has jumped out and screamed "Don't you guys test this stuff at all?!" for any recent update I can think of, so I assume the new stuff is more polished and less rushed because of the extra time spent. The fact that Mobilizing Armies was perfectly balanced pretty much immediately (except for a temporary crash or something on some of the scenarios that probably had more to do with server load than design flaws) seems to support this point of view, although I will grant that most of the extra time was probably spent upgrading the engine to support it. Are you nuts? Multiple people lost money and other stuff thanks to MA's, I believe, tutorial. The most any one person lost, that was CONFIRMED, was 350 MILLION. That's the kind of thing that makes you question whether it was tested. Did they test it? Yes. Did they test it WELL? No. And IMO, the reason MA was so buggy was because they released it early (the programming for something of that sort on Runescape must've taken FOREVER) because of so many psychos begging for it instead of the updates they had been putting out. Let's just hope they don't do that with the new skill, or the next few quests. Let's see. They announced it nine months before release. They took a week off before release to test. They released. And the bugs came out like raccoons in a dumpster after night falls. I don't bloody well care if it's "new programming" I expect it to be reasonably free of bugs, like, for example, not stealing money or have three of the four game modes down on release. But, eh. The game itself isn't fun even sans the bugs. So, watchagunnadoeh? (Hint: Download Warcraft II for free) [/hide] Let some blame fall on Jagex for having a failure team for testing, but let more blame fall on the idiots who got so tired of what they were getting that they begged, whined, complained, and the the like for MA to come out to the point where someone at Jagex yelled, "I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANY MORE! JUST RELEASE MA IF THEY WANT IT SO BADLY!" Nah, I'll stick with RS for a while, simply because I enjoy teaching some of these idiots logic, WHILE BEATING THEM UP! WHOO!
