Technically, that wouldn't be a nerf, as nerfs have a tendency to be unenjoyable. I would much enjoy seeing armor lower hits instead of just having a chance to block them. And why does the quote thing matter....? Or am I just missing something?

I agree with this part of your post. So you want a armour which improves an already extremely underpowerd skill to improve that skill less ... the title of the thread is "Defence Apparently is Useless" not "how can we make defence more usless" People are already dieing in a few seconds and you want to decrease that time even further? Why not just get rid of armour, its already bearly effective as it is. Some people think denfence is that usless they dont even train it! Why not just nerf str that would solve all our problems, we wouldn't be able hit over 1 so fights would last hours! Or have no str skill and just have str bonuses so we could maybe hit 5 or 6. God think of the outrage that would cause with so many people drooling over there high hits :lol: Or we could just make BETTER armor for P2P, seeing as how it has already been shown that F2P can survive easily with just rune... We need a reason for someone to try to get the Defence cape other than "it was on the list" or "i like blue." Why do you think so many people have the strength cape? Because THERE IS NO SKILL THAT TRULY COUNTERS IT. They could make it so that defence counters strength, and say... agility counters attack? That and making armor so that it lowers a hit instead of making you more likely to dodge it (because 26kg of metal on your shoulders is going to make it easier to dodge...) Any one of these would bring new purpose and new life to the skill. Now, what to do about Smithing.... :-k

And those same people - the ones eating their bellybutton lint - are the ones that pretend to be girls on RS, and all over the Internet. So if you want to develop a "relationship" over RS with someone like that, be my guest. Just don't blame me if/when you meet them and find out they act, talk and eat dirtier than than the glowing green sludge you always see the mutants/monsters/whatever come out of in horror movies.

Sorry, didn't see your thread - and the one I saw was just complete and total hate on the game. Which I don't want. Meaning that if I posted over there, a flame war would start between those who just hate the game completely and those who only hate certain parts of the game. And yes, the wait times are atrocious. But they're less atrocious if you pick the right world.

Sorry if there are any typos in the title, I'm still not sure how to spell mobilizing... Almost everything about this game except how it works bothers me. If you don't have some idiot piling you with all his light elves, then you have some heavy tanks piling on your throat just because you know how to arrange your troops into a semi-strategic formation. Don't these people know that if they pile the person who appears to be strong first without any obvious backup from the other teams, they're just gonna get their butts kicked by the people who are left, if not the person they attacked? Well, unless they're in a game with those STUPID ANNOYING FULL LIGHT ELF PEOPLE. :wall: I dislike that you have to wait for practically half an hour just to get into a game. Granted, they're working on that too, but it still annoys me to death. Not to mention this makes it an absolute pain in the neck to get to the decent rewards, because to do that, you have to have 100+ ranking, meaning you have to play at least 50 games. And that's if you don't lose to any of the pesky people listed above. I also dislike the fact that 3/4 of the game wouldn't or couldn't work when it came out. I mean, I know that no update is perfect, but 3/4 of a game that has been hyped up for 6 months missing or glitched?!? I kinda hoped for better than that.... but at least they're fixing (or trying to fix) this one. The death-dotters and campers I find to be only slightly less annoying than waiting, namely because a few well-placed cannons, chinchompas, and/or distractors can have them running for their lives. Hehehe. :twisted: Overall, I love the game and the concept of making a single-person strategy game in Runescape, but.... it has its "epic fail" points as well. Post, comment, flame is not welcome, but thought-out, well-put constructive criticism is.... etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, is it just me, or are half the people running around with a battalion of light elves trying to get themselves killed? I just fought a battle against 3 of them. Only lost 1 troop - stupid dwarf got himself killed...

For the death dotters, I just drop 4 cannons in their faces. Works like a charm. :twisted: Has anyone here ever won a game without a single troop casualty against a death dotter and two slow attackers? I did. Easy win, too.

Lots of bugs in this new minigame, i understand they took a lot of time for release and check something maybe they need to do the same again for aleast 1 week. By the way, in the bulding you are the roof isnt removed just for people dont get it. Not really. The roof just isn't removed in that one spot.

And that's why we need more effective (higher level)armor. To keep up with "omni-weapons" like the whip, godsword, Statius and Vesta sets...... and to justify the existence of a Defence cape - make it actually worthwhile.

Sorry, just HAD to add my two cents. This is all in reply to the OP. PK isn't biased if you know how to and actually do it right. Obviously, the OP doesn't. (I do, I just do it the wrong way for kicks.) Melee is NOT stuck with the worst deal - heck, melee has probably the HIGHEST KO potential - and with multiple weapons to boot. (DDS, AGS, BGS to some extent, Gmaul.....) Mage can beat Melee easily, but that's the way it's SUPPOSED to work. if they've spent as much time training mage as you have training melee, they'll beat you unless they have no grasp of tactics whatsoever and decide to stand in front of your face. Also, if you want Mage to have to stand right next to Meleers, then just to be fair, Mages should have spells that would hit 60s but could only be cast at close range. Oh, but Meleers wouldn't get whole weapons - they'd use a bunch of "weapon fragments" that work as a weapon, but if you die, you only keep 3-4 pieces of the weapon. And that's if you were wearing no armor. oh, and make it so that approx. 1mil worth of weapon fragments = 1 weapon. Then you'd get your way and the triangle would still work as it's supposed to. And also, if you're that fed up with mages, go get your Range up and shoot the heck out of them with a bow. Because that's the way it's DESIGNED TO WORK. Now the thread can die. I gain EP by sitting in falador with whip, obby cape, barrows gloves, and obby shield. Kill anyone who attacks me until i get to low hp, then just turn on protect item. And if the aforementioned "police" come about and camp at my spot, I simply move elsewhere. Also, THANK YOU FOR NOT RANTING ABOUT 26KING. I've seen enough of that on the RSOF, we DON'T need to see it here.

Double-ended halberd would be epic. Spec would have you spin it around, hit like 12 times, but with very low damage..... and spec could only hit 1 space away, but the halberd itself could go 2 spaces. Oh, and some better armor. Seriously, we have super-weapons like the godsword and whip, we need some better armor to defend against them than just bandos. And make the new armor smithable, just to give smithing a boost. :thumbsup:

While it may cause short term inflation, there's probably something new and expensive in store to balance out the inflation. Like better armor. (I hope.....) Or maybe a new skill...... *watches random people yelling about Sailing run past* Or, horror of horrors..... TAXES!!! Complete with complicated annoying tax forms! :twisted: But seriously, Jagex isn't stupid enough to not notice the inflation. And if they are, then they can't be stupid enough not to see the ranting on all the forums, both here and on the RSOF. So chill and just wait. They'll develop a new money drain sometime soon, if they aren't already working on it.
