  1. If it is a joke, then it's a pretty durn good one. And if it isn't..... that lady needs to get some help. Not everyone plays it 24/7 like she did to write that article. And NOBODY is stupid enough to think that constant eating of fish will heal you faster. And if they ARE dumb enough to believe that, then they probably aren't old and/or sane enough to be playing Runescape anyways. And if the topic has changed away from the OP and I just haven't realized it, then please notify me so I can change this post.
  2. I posted that on the 2nd page. Sorry for not spelling it out more. I said that so that someone wouldn't bring up the Rest, Randoms, Path Finding and claim that I was underestimating the time they put into them. Guess you went ahead and did it anyway, lol To be fair, I had already brought those up as examples of how the upgrades are really great improvements to the game. Things like the sortable spell interface really don't deserve to be a headline update. The trouble with spending the extra time to get things right is that you don't get it wrong the first time, so nobody notices all the things you fixed before the release. I'm giving Jagex the benefit of the doubt after seeing the initial messes we got out of Vinesweeper and SC and Bounty Hunter; nothing similarly stupid has jumped out and screamed "Don't you guys test this stuff at all?!" for any recent update I can think of, so I assume the new stuff is more polished and less rushed because of the extra time spent. The fact that Mobilizing Armies was perfectly balanced pretty much immediately (except for a temporary crash or something on some of the scenarios that probably had more to do with server load than design flaws) seems to support this point of view, although I will grant that most of the extra time was probably spent upgrading the engine to support it. Are you nuts? Multiple people lost money and other stuff thanks to MA's, I believe, tutorial. The most any one person lost, that was CONFIRMED, was 350 MILLION. That's the kind of thing that makes you question whether it was tested. Did they test it? Yes. Did they test it WELL? No. And IMO, the reason MA was so buggy was because they released it early (the programming for something of that sort on Runescape must've taken FOREVER) because of so many psychos begging for it instead of the updates they had been putting out. Let's just hope they don't do that with the new skill, or the next few quests.
  3. My stance on this topic: Price caps and/or anti-fluctuation (chaos rune...): Bad. Shows Jagex more in a "Communist" light, and not allowing prices to fluctuate due to events as they should. And with no fluctuation, the market gets kind of messed up due to either masses of buy offers with few sell offers or vice versa. In this situation, prices would normally change to show this, but not with certain items. (Yes, I'm lookin' at YOU, Chaos Rune!) Price limitations (the +/- 10% limit): Good. Limits RWT and some unbalanced trades, while still allowing prices to fluctuate. Also prevents people from buying new items at excessive prices and/or quantities (Sure, they can do that through junk trades, but that's slightly harder to do) and causing the market for the item to skyrocket. This is what the so-called "merch clans" do, but they do it with multiple people. If the 10% limits were removed, then they could do this solo.
  4. Not under the age of 10, with IQs below 0. And I thought that cabbage had an IQ of 1.... Enough said. And if you think F2P is bad, try PKing. It's even WORSE! :D
  5. Yes. Ofc they are. You thought they weren't? Now that I look back on it, I was expecting slightly more. Now, I remember - they're PKers! Of COURSE they're going to act like 6-year-olds, because most of them probably ARE! #-o
  6. So I was PKing one day (I learned that I fail at it by the way) using range-mage hybriding on my main. It was actually working somewhat well, aside from having to run for my life every time I saw a ranger coming.... There were these two people - one had asked me to team, the other I had been attempting to kill for a while now (she ran a lot). I declined the team offer, so they both sit next to me in the safespot next to Wildy ditch and proceed to call me "mage noob" and the like for about 5 minutes before they realized I was holding a crossbow. They then proceeded to stick with just "noob" for a while. After about 5 more minutes of listening to this crap, I decided it just wasn't worth my time and teleported away. Afterwards, the person I had been trying to kill finds me, follows me around for a bit, calls me "noob" for a while, and then asks if I want to be her BF. (I just laughed at this point.) Are people seriously this stupid that they waste their time calling a hybrid a noob for 10 minutes? Or was this all some joke with PKers that I had just missed the memo about? I seriously cannot wait for the day they say this stuff to a guy in full Ahrim's with 99 mage. And yes, they would probably be stupid enough to. Feel free to dissect my post and reply as you will, but beware - I will dissect your posts in return.
  7. It's only once after doing the quest i think I've bought it afew times from him. Im pretty sure you can buy one if you sell or lose the other. You just cant buy a bunch from him because then you could just sell on grand exchange and make a ton of profit. No, I'm pretty damn sure it's a 1 time deal. It's a 1-time deal. I tried.
  8. ....Darn you. I lost my staff a while ago at barrows, so I was camping there for about 10 hours with a wealth trying to get a staff. Eventually, my GE offer went through and I got one, but still.... :x
  9. Should I go for the untrimmed cape, or not?
  10. If you're level 42, then you should train some more. While you're at it, kill something that makes money - those lvl 11 cockroaches near Edgeville are a good start. And, if you're level 42, then why the heck are you carrying around rune armor in the wilderness? :-s
  11. I spy a few herb & farm levels in my future...
  12. Surely you understand the necessity? I have no problems at all using the Grand Exchange. Try to be less careless in your clicking. The last thing I need is a bunch of preteens swearing at me. I dislike this too. 76k-ing is not in the spirit of the game. Beat me to it. Ah well. I used to 76k to try to keep up with inflation, then I realized Barrows can be better profit and is a heck of a lot more fun.
  13. Both on the same run too. EDIT: Was looking through the RSOF, and found this:

Oh, so suddenly all your non-supporters are wagons? Riiiight. And I think that what you guys are saying sort of is on topic. A live demonstration, if you will. Now, to figure out which one's being a hypocrite... When Ratchet posted about the forum god speaking, they were just trying to get some laughs out of it. (Well, I laughed...) Obviously, it ticked you off. Moral of the story: Don't try to make something funny out of anything Quelmotz says unless you want the forum to either become a huge argument and/or a flame war. Also, more on the mentioned-by-the-OP topic: Frankly, I just laugh at them because they restrict themselves from using the resources that they're given, or because they expect me to restrict myself. It's like having a lawnmower right in front of your face, but choosing to mow the lawn with fingernail clippers instead. #-o Oh, so because they ARE [wagon], but because they don't support me or whatever, they suddenly deserve to be removed from their position as [wagon]?  You take it as Ratchet trying to get some laughs out of it. I take it that way too, except his laughs are sneers and s[racist term]s, not humour. He thinks he's so great just because he "won" the pointless argument on that thread, but to further boost his ego, he has to continue following me around to sneer at me. It's not that, generally if you have a few people hating you, one of them's probably a wagon. But not all of them are. And perhaps this has gone on for too long. One of you should probably decide to just end it by just not replying to the posts. Bah, my shift key is being stupid again.
  15. Or maybe they're recoding the world map so that it fits in that display, while being movable so you can see different areas. If they do, that would drive me insane. Or maybe it's a new skill - Exploring, Treasure hunting... endless possibilities. Or maybe it's just Jagex messing with our heads. Who knows.
  16. Got it while killing Ahrim. I've been really into Barrows lately, idk why. DHAROK HELM PLZ! =P~
  17. Im wondering how someone with your skills even HAS 350M... He wasn't the one to lose 350m  Somebody already said that. Stupid shift key is acting up again...
  18. Continuing the analogy, if that car doesn't get you where you need to go, then wouldn't you want to sell that car and get a new one that does what you want? Yes, but if you've payed for it, and invested your time and energy into it, you wouldn't want to junk it as soon as doesn't operate how you want it. You'd do your damnedest to try and fix it. Yes, but if you can't fix it, you would get it junked and/or sold, correct?

  20. And you could have spent those three days doing something more productive, like killing trees. The home tele has saved my butt many a time - whether because I forgot something or just needed a teleport away from monsters. True, it isn't the same, but as it is said, the only thing that doesn't change is the fact that things change.

sorry to burst anyone's bubble but these guys are going for post count and it's pretty obvious with the way they are spamming the rants forum with one sentence post and +1 posts. And it's pretty obvious you've never read any of the quelmotz/ratchet arguments. Seriously, read some more of the rants forum before you decide that certain people are just spammers. Edit: *points to your one-sentence post* And you aren't?

  23. The reason I say either adapt or leave: simply because, if you don't adapt, you're gonna get left in the dust. Ever heard of how evolution works? It's like this: (WARNING! Long, technical sceintific explanation ahead...) One or two members of a species somehow get a genetic change, whether it be due to radiation exposure, failing to correctly copy DNA when cells replicate, etc. This genetic change allows them to be more likely to survive in case of attack (i.e. being able to run faster.) So while all the other members of the species are slowly dying off as the new species with the genetic mutation emerges, eventually the old species is extinct or only alive because some guy wanted to see it in a zoo. (Long technical scientific explanation over.) Likewise, if someone is continually complaining about something that happened five years ago, or something that won't change no matter how much they complain, then eventually they're going to have so many people who got over it and moved on pestering them to go away and leave them in peace that eventually they're either going to leave or they're going to stay because Jagex wanted to still see them around (like the PKers.) So, in conclusion, one complaint or rant doesn't truly hurt, and I apologize if my past actions denoted otherwise. But if the same person keeps going on about the same thing, telling them the truth - that all they're doing is being a pain in the neck, and that if they dislike it that much, they'd be better off leaving - will usually get the situation over with faster. Because would you rather have a warning telling you that people are gonna hate you soon, or no warning and a flame war?
  24. Love how the instant you shoot, the two people in the background both sit down. EDIT: Oh wow, I'm ignorant. One's burying bones. #-o It's still cool how it happened synonymously though.
