I don't do slayer at all. I do about equal DKs/TDs. At DKs I use super att/str + range pot and I can see how amazing overloads would be. They would be my goal if I were going to train herb. Just gonna kind of expand on what he said. At tormented demons eagle eye makes curses not worth using which is why herb wins. At dks prayer wins over extremes because trips usually come down to how many prayer pots you have which an extreme set would limit, but overloads would certainly beat them especially tribriding. Slayer well I'm gonna have to disagree a little bit on this one. I think they're about equal tbh soul split helps and turmoil speeds it up but that depends on if you use piety during tasks anyway. Extreme pots speed it up but that also depends on if you use potions for slayer anyway. If you use potions but no piety then you'll want herblore if you use piety but not potions or both piety and potions you'll want prayer.

Also, expect a lot of other items to be manipulated as these clans have to give up their golden goose. :-( Hopefully they'll stay away from cadantine, yew and papaya seeds. But of course they always seem to pick the most inconvenient thing to buy out...

This is how I look at the new items. [hide]Chaotic rapier: Beats whip in training(assuming it's as good as the stats make it look) but I already have max melee so I'm not too concerned with a few extra k xp/hour in melee-not worth my time getting. Gem bag: Cool but I don't mine gem rocks because if I'm looking to make money by getting gems I'm going to crack safes in the rouge's den because it's faster and next to the bank- not worth my time. Coal bag: I don't mine coal- not worth my time. Shields: Very good but I rarely use a shield anymore(rune defender or 2h weapon now) and I don't do agw- possibly worth my time. Other chaotic melee weapons: I don't pk so why would I want the maul, the longsword might possibly beat the rapier but nobody has one to be sure- probably not worth my time. Chaotic staff: I'll just stick with SOL on this one. Chaotic crossbow: Very good but can it fire enchanted bolts? It could end up being like zanik's crossbow- very likely to be worth my time. Arcane necklaces: Very very good even if I use mage on rare occasions- worth my time getting. Longbow sight: Not sure on this one, it could make longbows beat crossbows but I doubt it- as of right now, not worth my time. Nature and law staff: I don't train mage either alcing or teleporting- not worth my time. Scroll of life: I do farm a lot of herbs and often have dead seeds so this seems to have a lot of use to me- probably worth my time to get. Tome of frost: Water staff?- not worth my time. Gravite anything: Useless if you're higher then the required levels to use them- not worth my time. Anti-poison totem: This has potential but I'm not even sure what slot this goes in(I'm assuming shield slot) seems like something that could stand out in certain situations- possibly worth my time. Bonecrusher: Now this is probably underrated by a lot of people. I bought the bones for 95 prayer and got it, I want 99 prayer but don't want to buy the bones for it, I also want 99 slayer and summoning. All of those bones from 99 slayer and summoning(gathering the charms) would certainly add up and possibly get me to 99- Most likely to be worth my time. Mercenary's gloves: Cool beans these beat barrows for ranging but the only problem is when I range it's going to be when I hybrid/tribrid so- not worth my time. Scroll of renewal: Hmm interesting it could be combod with sleep(lunar spell), regen brace and bunyip and pretty much own. Seems like one of those situational things again- not on the top of my list of things to get but possibly worth getting eventually. Scroll of augury: Pretty nice but I often find my self using soul split when I mage and this is a prayer so- worth it but not worth getting until I have other things.[/hide] I think instead of asking people if they're worth there true cost in time you need to ask yourself is it worth there true cost of your time.

Putting "Dungeons of Daemonheim" under "Runescape" almost makes it look like "Dungeons of Daemonheim" is part of the title of the game... I know it isn't and isn't intended to be though. Also to the whole "his shield looks like a dragon kiteshield", didn't we learn that they're just pictures drawn up just to look cool a while ago?(the picture of a sailboat that sparked the sailing skill thing comes to mind :roll: )

That is assuming that tokens:Xp ratio is permanently fixed at 1:10. Does the KB say that it is? Perhaps it is possible to get more tokens:xp later on. Actually it does say that.

What? I said I didn't go and read every reply every person made on this thread not the actual topic. I read some of the replys and I think he exaggerated just a little bit because I can't find an answer to that specific question....

I believe that you will get a prestige of 7 but for that floor only. If you did floor 1, 2, 7 then reset however, you would only have a prestige of 3 instead of 6. That's why it's best to do every floor that you can before a reset. Your previous progress (or current progress if its higher), is what determines the prestige bonus you get per floor. I did floor 1-6 and reset so my highest progress is 6 atm so what you're saying is my prestige will still be 6 instead of 7 at lower floors even after I complete floor 7? It's been answered half a dozen times in this thread already. Sorry I didn't go and read every post on here? Seriously don't reply just because you find it necessary to be an [wagon].

I reset my ring and went back to floor one and two to get the level I needed to progress to floor 7. If I skip to floor 7 and complete it will my prestige go to 7 also?

level 86-87 is 4m actually not 94-95 but it's still a little odd that you need a higher level to buy them then they require.

Which weapon type is the best overall weapon to use for melee? I mean rapier, maul, longsword etc. not ore types.

I THINK in order to get prestige exp for completing a level, the prestige has to be one less than a level. So for your picture you'd have to beat level 7 to get the prestige. That would then bump your prestige to 8. From there you'd have to beat 8 to get prestige exp, and so on. Resetting sets your prestige to 0 so you get the exp from level 1 again. Oh so if I beat them all but still can't progress to the next floor I should reset it before I go back and do them again? But if I do this and level at floor like 4 would my prestige be 4 when I go on to floor 7 or would it be back to 6? Ha. I was wrong. The Prestige and levels completed are two different things. Prestige is the NUMBER of levels completed since you last reset. (Or your longest streak, whichever is better) However, if you have already beat a level on this streak, you will NOT get exp for the level, no matter what your prestige is. So if your prestige is 6, but the levels beat are 1,2,3,4,5 and 7, skipping 6, then when you do 6 you'll still get a prestige boost. Resetting will set your prestige to a fixed number and reset the count. So say that you reset after reaching prestige 6. Now each level you HAVE beaten is listed as having NOT been beaten, allowing you to get prestige exp for it again. However, your count goes back to 0 for the current streak. You will continue getting exp based on your old streak until you get to the point where your new streak is longer. Does that make any sense? Not completely but it helps, I guess I'll have to try resetting it tomorrow when I get on again to see how it works. Thanks for the help btw.

Aren't you supposed to get something other than 0 for higher prestige? I still don't get how it works tbh.

The only problem is you need 80 dungeoneering and 400k(or some high amount I forget which one costs how much) tokens to get it.

I'd probably quit if the level cap was boosted to 120. Seriously that would mean one maxed stat(at 120) would equal about 9 current max stats. I'm not saying I play this game for just 99s but I do like having some sort of feeling like I can actually achieve a 99 without having to spend my whole life for it. Been playing rs for like 6 years and I only have 130m total xp, 104m xp for one maxed stat would kill me.

I get pretty much everything about it except for prestige... It's confusing the hell out of me lol. Also, I prefer duo or solo over a larger team because the bosses get ridiculous and puzzles insane in groups of 4 or 5. Oh ya and this skill is now the second worst adventure log spammer next to pking.

Oh alright then I'll just buy all the bones I can now for lowest while I can. I doubt they'll crash to a point that I can buy for lower then 5.2k tbh.

Why are they crashing so hard? Do you think they'll stop soon? Atm I can buy them lowest instantly about 5.2k each.
