Maple trees cost about 32k last time I checked, 5 * 32 = 160. If you check those trees once a day you only lose 160k if you can't make that in less then 30 minutes you have a bigger problem. In fact, if you only get one for about 15 minutes a day to do 2 herb runs and one tree run you'll still profit from the herbs. You could even spend the extra 260k and plant yew trees and still only need to play about an 45 minutes to an hour to make that back... If you're interested, maples are currently about 9.5 gp/xp and yews are about 11 gp/xp. Bottom line, plant trees and herbs if you're trying to reach a level. Plant only herbs always no matter if you're going for a level or not.

Wrong, you get a penalty towards your xp if you don't kill everything. Either it is written on the KB or it doesn't, there isn't a factor in the end-dungeon window that calculates that, so until further research/enlightment, i dont see how not killing certain monsters has a penalty. It is written in the KB. -
IMO staff of light is the only option for combat maging any longer then about an hour. It's the highest hitting staff(chaotic staff has the same bonus now I think though) and saves runes. It's worth it, it saves some cash and you can just sell it back when you're done with it. Unless it crashes horribly for some reason(I really don't think it will go any lower) you won't lose money buying it if you plan on using it for maging something for an extended period of time.

Win of the day by jagex. -
Bosses like that are really the main reason why I would train the skill. I love a challenge and from what I've seen/heard these bosses can be a very big challenge. I wouldn't be surprised if the boss at the last floor was some crazy level higher then the corp tbh. When I train the skill some more I'll make sure to monster examine the bosses.

Um alright I'm just gonna do lobsters till 81, swordfish till 90, monkfish till 94 then sharks the rest of the way. Does anyone know about how many fish/hour I can cook?
-
Gorgonite platebody and 120ish promethiem arrows that I never use. Only keeping gorgonite platebody because the best weapon I've found I can also just make... When I find a good weapon I'll switch it.
-
Alright sounds good but can sharks be replaced with rocktails? I've heard they're faster and make more money which is always a nice addition.
-
Ok I know that but I don't want to spend 16m on 99 cooking.
-
I'm gonna have to agree on this. Mainly because the only time I really use a shield is at agw.
-
I'm level 80 cooking right now and I figured why not go for 99 while I farm so can anyone tell me what to cook through 80-99. Something other then wines please I'm not looking to spend tons on cooking. If I remember right it was something like lobsters till some level -> monkfish to some other level -> sharks or rocktails till 99? The only problem is I don't know the levels or if those are right lol.

My thoughts exactly. Im lucky to get maybe 10-14 tokens per game, the Frost Tomb is 70k. I'm looking at maybe 1000 Games (5000 if its 10-14 ALL THE WAY THRU) JUST for the book. It's a 10:1 xp:token ratio rounded down.
-
I'm just hoping that is resolved in the second batch of this skill. Either way I like the skill because it's something different, it really doesn't bother me if it doesn't affect outside of the skill itself atm.
-
Well damn. It's still a little profit though isn't it? Probably but I think I'm gonna switch to macaw now so at least I can sell whatever it's making.
-
Oh wait I just realized does this kill the purpose of having a magpie out?
-
Tome of frost + sol + battle robe set at rock lobsters = very cheap and easy mage xp/charms.

Tbh I think we're going to have to wait and see how slow the skill(dungeoneering) is to train at higher levels(90+) until we can figure out why they made the max level 120 instead of 99. It could possibly be the fastest skill in the game to train after level 100 we certainly won't know until someone gets it. As for the other skills, raising the cap to 120 for most of them would make them take ages to get to 120 because, unless they also released higher level content, most of them are already very slow to get 99 in, imagine 120. My point is we already know the max speeds at which the other skills can be trained so we have some idea of how slow 120 would take but we have no idea how slow/fast dungeoneering can be at high levels(90+) until someone actually gets the level. I do think that instead of another cape for 120 there needs to be some sort of other item to "show off" your skill with. Having two skill capes is just going to make the first one seem like nothing special eventually it'll just be gathering dust on someone's cape rack in there house. Of course we know jagex has no intentions of raising the cap atm though.

Only thing I can say is don't do 5 man teams, after about 3 man teams the bosses get ridiculous and just isn't worth doing. i thought you could stand between the boss and the dead bodies so it can't heal You can but if one of the people standing near the corpse moves for like a second you're in trouble <_< It gets to be annoying tbh.

.... I know and I certainly don't plan on joining or care about it I'm just saying that's a little weird that they require it. So if you don't want to join, and don't care, why feel the need to rant about it? Did I ever say I was mad about it? No, I was just wondering why they require that. Why do some people on this website feel the need to post just because they want to be an [wagon]? A post just wondering something and saying it's a little weird isn't a rant, it's a statement. But anyway I can see nobody is going to figure out I was just wondering something just don't reply to this. It's just going to lead to someone saying "omfg get over it you don't have 95 herb that's why you're mad" which is incorrect in two ways, I don't want to join and I'm not mad. -

Only need 3 more herblore levels before you can enter Otg, the elite monster hunting Corporeal beast pwning clan. Oh and you need 2 referals... >_> Why do they have a 95 herb req? You can make overloads at 92... Cheapest level you can make OL's cheaply and quickly is 93. They probably have a high Req so people can make OL's with greenman ales, not just stews. That would make sense if you couldn't tell if they were using overloads or not but um... Overloads have an animation when you use them so why not let the people save money and use them at level 92 herb. -
Most of them haven't because they protest it calling it more of a minigame and refusing to try it. O.T. When I did train it I pretty much completely forgot about the rest of runescape lol but now I'm kind of tired of it and want to level my other stuff. So yes and no.

I fail to see some of your logic. Whips aren't used solely for training, so why assume the Chaotic rapier will be? Would you really want to waste 110k tokens (1.1m+ xp worth) on the bonecrusher? The time spent getting it will probably outweigh the cost of moneymaking and buying the bones. I think getting a Chaotic Rapier will be worth it. Turmoil/Overloads are aimed for because they make you damage higher per second. So the same should apply to the Chaotic rapier. The Longsword... I'm not sure about that, but I prefer Dps over the high hits. I'll just shoot for the Maul if I want to hit high. And lastly; We don't know the specials yet. They might/might not have them, it's a newly released item, which probably explains why they aren't in the knowledge base, assuming there will be special attacks. Those are my opinions based on what I would be using each item for meaning I pretty much just use a whip while training slayer and don't see the point in the few extra k xp/hour in melee(already maxed melee anyway) and maybe a couple extra slayer xp/hour it would possibly allow me to get at the cost of 400k tokens. Yes, I would want to "waste" the tokens on the bonecrusher because I don't plan on spending tons of money just to get 95-99 prayer(the last time I checked it was around 90m) I'd rather get it casually while training slayer at the same time and get it eventually. I'm in no rush to get it I just want it eventually so why not get it while doing something else. I don't see anything about special attacks in the knowledge base(the special attack section) so right now I'm just assuming they don't have one. Of course if they did turn out to have one that might change my opinion about some of them but for right now I don't really have a goal set out to get one. In the recent FAQ about dungeoneering the question about how token prices require you to get higher then the actual level required to use the item was asked and a mod replied by saying they were looking into that and working on it(something like that those aren't the exact words). This could possibly mean it'll eventually be possible to get the bonecrusher at it's required level or it could mean they boost the required level to match the required xp or neither of those. Hard to say but if it did turn out to be the first situation I'd say the bonecrusher would be definitely worth it.
