They recently re-did the skill menu and its likely it could be a bug.

I finally had an opportunity to do the quest today, and I loved it. My only issues are minor ones, that the flame puzzles eventually became a bit frustrating and the music didn't really loop well. It stopped, 5 seconds of silence, and started again. I liked the boss battle a lot and thought it was really interesting. I also have to bite my tongue, seeing that Char also trains you in firemaking after the quest--I thought the only training method available to players post-quest was the Book of Char. I was sad though to see I couldn't talk to other Zarosian allies about Char's 'Resurrection' post-quest though. Felt like that was a bit of an oversight. I hope this pace keeps building to lead into more Zarosian related quests. I want MOAR!

I admit I'm opening myself up to a huge goof here and feel free to correct me. But there have been tons of studies on internet addiction, be it to gambling, MMO's, gambling, or anything else. Saying that it's an assumption that someone can't get addicted to an online service, or even some service we don't readily associate as a negative thing (staking, let's say) doesn't really make sense and is pretty damn weak...

The more people you have with you, the less profit you make. The trade-off is that you're 'less crashable.' This is universal in almost all boss hunting situations. I personally always found it fun to do DK in a small group (3-4 people). Profit isn't great in a group that size, but it's fun.

It's the number one item to wear in the necklace spot for F2P wars/pking and most day-to-day f2p activities. I agree that getting overly upset is a bit of wasted energy, but it's incorrect to say that it's 'barely used'.

It's hard to imagine someone getting addicted to gambling starting on a game like RuneScape, in a "wow, I guess that really can happen" sort of way. It's a bit like imagining your sibling getting addicted to prescription painkillers from taking an NSAID after they twisted their ankle. It's not, truly, since people can get addicted to online gambling and still feel all the strong symptoms of it...but for those who have never dealt with an addict in their home, in their life, through rock bottom to recovery, that's what it seems like.

I don't think awarding bonus experience is really the answer for Summoning, when the main complexity of the skill comes with actually obtaining the charms and shards. Maybe offering something that lets you teleport to the spirit plane released on the Day of the Dead, like visiting the Church Graveyard in Lumbridge and praying at one of the tombs decorated with candles, to collect a certain amount of shards for free each day for a week etc etc. But I agree with the concept, Summoning could use a bit of help here and there. It gets shafted compared to every other skill where money is the main component for obtaining raw materials (like construction for example.)

I agree that it's human nature, and it seems like they are dealing with it.

Is there any alternatives other than buying a USB number pad? My laptop doesn't have a number pad, but the letters uio shows 456, jkl shows 123 in the top right hand corner. I can get the numbers to show up if I press the Scroll lock button. Good point, I forgot about that. If I used Shortkeys/AHK to hit the function key and ctrl at the same time to simulate having a number pad, would that strictly be against the rules? It sure would save my hand from stretching all over the keyboard just to utilize that feature.

I've gone into Accessibility, Toggled mousekeys on, made sure numpad was on, had "Hold down Ctrl to speed up and Shift to slow down" on, had speeds relatively high. I went to the upper left corner of the item, right clicked, and then hit ctrl+2. But the mouse doesn't move at all. Am I not entirely getting how this works? It's highly likely lol. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: this laptop doesn't have a numberpad, unfortunately. Does that mean I can't use mousekeys?

Thank you for the information. I suppose I'll just have to stick with it. At 85 fishing, considering how click-intensive this is and not quite as good experience yet, would it be smart to switch to cavefish?

I'm level 84 fishing, using decorative fishing urns and a granite lobster. I'm low-alching what I catch. At 3:46, I had 190k to go til my level. Nearly 3 hours later, I still have 22k til level. This feels extremely slow at 50k~ per hour. Is something wrong here, or was i just misinformed about this being 70-80k per hr?
