Fix FPS & lag instead of bringing new game content?
His point is that there are two separate departments that work on content and optimization and so long as there's two separate things, there's no reason to halt one to progress the other. It's a faulty assumption. So it's not "useless."

Trouble Brewing questions
Thanks, that helps a lot. I guess I'll have to try to find a way to get in a game or two. Considering 1 hr's worth of work will last me a month's worth of brewing, that's not so terrible a trade-off. Now to find willing people to play >_<'

Trouble Brewing questions
Is there any unofficial world for Trouble Brewing fast games? How long does a game last on average? How many tokens do you get per game on average? Is there an activity bar for Trouble Brewing? The reason I ask is because I want to see if it's worthwhile to obtain The Stuff for brewing, since mature Greenman's ale costs a small fortune, and I'd like to get me summa dat gp.

Free Healthcare for lawbreakers?
If it was simply "ObamaCare", you'd be right. But that's why advocates of those types of coverage urged policy makers to look at examples around the world. Japan is one example. Taiwan another. We basically get screwed because we're willing to pay more, and companies know we have no alternative in which to fight that.

I think a good idea would be something very identifiable with boss hunting and monster killing. Maybe something like Berserker Ring or (a little higher end) a virtus item.

Free Healthcare for lawbreakers?
A person does shake-n-bake, the container explodes, and he's rushed to a hospital. At this point he isn't arrested or charged with a crime, because he's in critical care. In order to be charged, doesn't he have to be healthy enough to be detained? So...basically, wouldn't the state had to foot his medical bills regardless if he was going to prison? I'm basically asking if this is inevitable, and if his healthcare was denied how could he properly be charged with the crime if he's not well enough to stand sentencing? One way or the other the state will be footing the bill, and preventing them beforehand seems like a violation of their rights to due process. If I'm talking out of my ass, please tell me. I'm kind of ashamed I'm this ignorant, but I don't know where to find the info to get my answers.

Free Healthcare for lawbreakers?
Can a person still be prosecuted if they need those procedures to stand trial or they'd die from injury complications? EDIT: Legit question, not answering a question with another. >_>'

Free Healthcare for lawbreakers?
It's impossible to separate treating someone in a hard time in their life with no insurance, and a meth-head with no insurance. If hospitals didn't admit individuals without health insurance, my father would have died last July. It's unfair and frustrating, but even if they sued these people afterwards, it doesn't make the money they need appear out of thin air. It seems like denying healthcare to the uninsured to save burn wards is like treating the symptoms and not the problem. The problem is disgusting but if companies were forced to innovate and charge less, this wouldn't be such a huge problem. Or if there was cradle-to-grave healthcare similar to Taiwan's. You're correct. They're billed afterwards. And while you're in the ER getting stabilized, sometimes they'll send a social worker out to you to discuss what aid you can receive.

94-99 defense?
The idea behind training at orks used to be that you could stay there all night without dying. The problem with that: it was against the rules, it was hideously slow, and it always came with inherent risk. But since the auto-log came out, there's no longer any point in training like that. If you're going for pure hack-and-slash methods of training, Lord_Paul's idea is good, there's always armored zombies, and so on. Thing is I don't know of many methods that would be satisfying for you considering you're already 99 mage and summoning and so on.

Game Lag partialy fixed 50/100 instead of 20/100
Part of making guides is being willing to take constructive criticism to make your guide better--since the whole reason anyone ever posts a guide is to help people. All the things you mentioned are good ideas for regular maintenance and there's nothing wrong with them. Let's just say you 'saved the best for last' then huh? But there's no reason to go and get snippy, on either sides.

I always thought tip.it had some of the easiest to use player made guides out there. This will definitely help the luster come back to the AoW as well as every-day posting. Veryyyyy slick. :)

1/22/2012 New Members' Pricing
While that is very true, if someone had such limited income, it's really important to have a strict budget. Luxuries are always cut out first. Stating the obvious, I know, and I'm sorry for that. But I think the entertainment industry, like MMO's, console games, and so on aim to markets with more disposable incomes. And since Runescape is slowly scaling up the quality of graphics, audio, and gameplay (too slowly for most of us veterans, but they are) it seems like they're inching out further and further from the "budget gamer" demo. But there's always the free game, which thanks to the bots isn't terrible and people can actually make some decent cash there now via skilling (decent for f2p). At the risk of sounding like a jerk, that's a really terrible comparison. Yes, XBL is approximately 3$ a month (pre-price raise @ yearly rate), but you're basically paying for a portal with no content! Oooh, you could have fiddled with last.fm and facebook. That's not exactly a quality expense for the return you get. Even if you buy one new game and subscribe to one media service--we'll go with netflix because of it's popularity--you're looking at different issues here. Breakdown: One new console game that focuses on online play, like BF3 - $5/month * Netflix (streaming only) - $9/month Xbox Live Gold Yearly Subscription - $3.33/month (pre-price raise) * factored over the time period you have XBL for, since a game like BF3 is nothing but online play That's 17.33$ a month. Now you try to sit here and tell me that it's cheaper than RuneScape...It's simply untrue! Even if you cut out netflix, XBL/gameplay was more expensive than RuneScape's new price BEFORE they raised XBL costs! If you want affordable gaming, play free-to-play MMO's like Dead Frontier, Runescape, AdventureQuest Online, and so on. Or pick up the humble bundle every few months for a buck. Or play flash games, there are some amazing flash games out there with fantastic stories. Yeah. Small increases add up. RuneScape is still affordable. The only question is whether you find it worthwhile enough to keep playing and paying.

Uh. So I'm taking it that you never play RS and see how frequently the game is updated, how frequently they're shifting around interfaces, and so on. "Typical naysayer"

1/22/2012 New Members' Pricing
I would like to see bigger incentives to buy at a yearly rate rather than keeping the "members loyalty discount". I don't mind the idea behind paying more per month. They deserve it. inb4 they don't
