Spears are held upright naturally because of where the weight is focused, so it makes sense for them to be sticking straight up...which is still in the confines of their 'square'. It is a completely reasonable theory. Old Dragon longswords were long though. The new ones are about 2/3 the size which makes them look much too short. Even when a longsword was in the old style it didn't look like a proper longsword. I agree the new design is crappy, but I was under the impression we were comparing these items to how they are supposed to look, knowing the proportions of their 'rl counterparts'.

You are comparing these weapons from an entirely pvp-based point of view. You can't effectively do so and present it as fact when you don't even know what the OP is using the weapons for...The chaotic rapier, longsword, and maul have their respective perks that would tailor to the type of player they are. Not everyone is a pker, nor every player a boss hunter, etc. Your conclusions surely are right (for pkers) but you'd better help people to find out their purpose if you're going to suggest alternatives to what their goals are.

Sell the sara coif and swap it with a guthix coif or an archer helm to get a little cash. Ditch the zam dhide body and just buy zam arrows instead for kc at GWD. That's all I'd really recommend selling. I don't think that even if you sold 80% of that bank, you'd reach 50mil. Sure, you might, and then you also might not be able to do anything for two weeks because you're absolutely cleaned.

The easiest answer won't be the one you like. It's up to you if you want to accumulate junk that you want to actually give away.

But Jagex needs to fix the graphics, they're all "broken". The graphics team should focus on new content. Older content should only be tweaked if balance is needed. Why would balance be needed in anythign graphical?

I can't imagine that Jagex will let a person be featured artist of the month more than once so previous winners will probably never have a chance of getting those new prizes (signed certificate, exclusive piece of signed concept art). You should be more clear in what you state then; the people who answer your questions are not mind readers. The spear is superior to Veracs. Very little is verac actually still good for, save Zilyana, KQ, and a few other things. The only reason why you would use the full set is if you were seeking the bonus, and there is no benefit from its bonus here. The zspear allows you versatility, bonuses, and speed.

I will give it to you, it looks more like a scimitar. But even then, why not just axe one of the spikes on the current design and angle the blade more without going through the fuss of a poll? I'm not criticizing your decision...I guess that I have more of an issue with people buying into this idea. Should've presented that idea more clearly and for that I apologize. There are other things, better things, that could use attention, let alone getting into other graphic content! I guess you would call it bitterness, but I call this impracticality and lip-service to give the illusion of desiring feedback. Really, this seems to me more like a "Okay, this time we're getting your opinions on it so we can blame you if it still looks like crap." I'm not saying the designs are bad but your sly jabs are no less welcome. I actually didn't vote though because I have no care for the item in question and would rather leave it up to the people who do care, regardless if I think they're silly for it.

So 4 more spikes and a different coloured hilt are a dealbreaker then? I seriously don't see a significant difference between the two. And again, remember how tiny these will be when they're on your actual screen. Does it really make much of a difference? o_O

*facepalm* There isn't a "This is a joke and it doesn't need to be redesigned. It's a waste of time, and you should feel bad" option is there? There really isn't enough change for me to warrant voting for anything other than the original--when the item is that small on your screen, you're not going to see what shape the hilt is, for example...And who cares which way the spikes curve?

4th week is usually the 'off week'. I'm surprised we're getting even this. And if you read the Behind the Scenes, you'd see that they've completed the things they've talked about this month. So yeah, it's safe to say this is all we should be expecting. wasn't it usual to have 1 new quest each month? (I refuse to read bts, as I like to get surprised by new quests which are the only reason I keep playing rs still). It hasn't been that way for almost a year.
