Work on dropping faster. Mousekeys can help, correct me if I'm wrong. That will be the best way to increase your exp per hour regardless of what you mine, since you have to do it with both activities.

The original issue wasn't time so much as it was the stirring needed to keep them from sticking to the bottom. Which, in reality, doesn't need to happen often and is usually a sign that you REALLY overcooked the pasta. Blech, overcooked pasta.

A good question to ask at this point is: why do you have a tongue and saliva glands in your ear? I've been the one who has been cooking for the past two weeks, since my mom recently had surgery and was told to lay down for so long. I've been making things like chicken pot pie (om nom), stuffed porkchops, lemon couscous and marinated chicken breasts, beef stews, etc. If the culinary fields weren't so damn competitive, I probably would've gone to college for that instead. The best way to make macaroni and cheese is by doing it from scratch. Enjoy (if you can) crappy mac n' cheese from Kraft, who still has the nerve to serve rubberized, individually wrapped slices of veneer and have the temerity to call it cheese. It tastes metallic and has no true cheddar taste. If I wanted to top butter and popcorn toppings on pasta I would, for even less money. Seriously it's not even hard to do. :| Lack of money is one thing, but if you can afford to, why aren't you?! That's like scratching out the Mona Lisa's face with silver sharpie. Get out trololol.

I share your frustration. Personally, it would be nice if the monsters were not aggressive if you were not down there to kill them. Or at the very least, they didn't use firebreath.

Spear + prom plate, or when I'm high enough level, 2h + prom plate + blood necklace. Constant stack of Saggitarian arrows (alchables) or Law Runes bound as ammo for rushing. Not going to plan for 4 bound items because I'm never going to max this crappy minigame.

You shouldn't be rushing if you don't have your gear sorted. You're a detriment to your team. So actually, by your own logic, you yourself are being selfish, not your team.

There are lots of clans that don't have requirements/high requirements that might fit your needs. The few that come to mind off the bat are Titans Revolution, Clan Jaguar, many community clans (ref here), etc. You probably won't find the clan that's right for you on your first shot unless you do extensive research before hand, like finding out what the clan does, who the people are, how friendly they are, etc. If all you want is human contact, interaction, and friendship, you might be better off just joining an active clan chat in game where you can converse and do things at your leisure, like Tipit's unofficial ingame cc (name: Shyla).

The biggest breach of etiquette in rushing is ignorance. Know how to rush, know how to do it properly. I don't mind if you're scavaging/cooking if we're all out of cash and we need food, or you only need two entgallow branches for a summon. Whatever. Not a big deal. Just don't overdo it.

Because it's a pain in the ass to get, and older items aren't exactly scaled properly with newer items. This might be changing in the near future, however, as Jagex has recently shown an interest in changing this (for those who remember the ill-fated climbing boots to rock-climbing boots update). It's like comparing snakeskin boots to ranger boots. It's always nice to know these amazingly smart-spending ways to get comparable gear for lower prices, but there isn't a lot of discussion that can go along with it.
