  1. It could be considered as spam, Ninane Confirm/Deny? I could see both sides to as why it is and is not spam, but what does a mod have to say? All depends on the context. And as far as "gf <clans>" go, if people don't want to see posts like that anymore, we can look into removing them. But that has always been a...tradition? of the clan world to do something like that, and I and the rest of the staff would be really hesitant to take something away that has been such a long-standing part in clans and their respective communities.
  2. PvP was always a minority. So are clans. And if you think that clans are a small amount of people, I invite you to look at the RSOF. The Jagex Cup. Our site's clan community section. Runescape Community's clan section. Sal's clan section. Clan Wars Arena worlds are just a poor shadow of what the clan world really is, and if that's your only idea of it, then I pity you. It is far larger than that, and far more engrossing.
  3. or something to change my username to something more relevant to my current rsn? That's because it serves as basically another method for trolling and insulting people as well as show people who are posting like idiots (...) that they're, well, posting like idiots. So if you kids and all other future posters didn't get the hit: stop spamming. Posts from here on out will be removed, you know the drill, the informal warning precedes the formal action. I try not to just say generic "gf <clan>", I try to put effort into it. Sometimes I lapse, but so does everyone. No one is perfect. But I think what troubles me the most is that people seem to think that in order to cause 'beef' and get some drama going--and we all know that drama is the lifeblood of any competing community--that you have to be a complete and utter spastic. When did that happen, lol? When did all the intelligence flee discussion and replaced with people who just go "lol" "gf idiot" "ur inbred"? And really, this is happening on every other community. The difference here is that there isn't enough users to cover up those who ruin it for everyone else. One of the best trolls I know, an ex-Notorious/KO/Poison/Resilience member who now joined Corr is the biggest troll I know. He is also probably the most eloquent and intelligent person who trolls nowadays. He is eloquent and rational...until he isn't anymore, and it's almost impossible to stop. I hate him as much as I admire him, and it's people like him who keep things going. It's those kinds of people that spawn rivalries and keep things alive. But on the other side of the coin, when I remember Team Power Rangers...who had (once upon a time) a squad of people who would post the most inane things that were such terrible attempts to troll that they got banned for it...It makes me extremely wary of trolls, knowing how quickly things can spiral. I will be completely honest here: I see what you mean, at times, when you say that the soul of the community has fled. I might like to be optimistic and think it comes and goes, like any other place. There aren't a lot of discussions to be had because most of the drama is concentrated in the top 10 and the smaller clans that tend to favor tip it don't often speak of what issues are coming up nowadays for whatever reason. It's a good and bad thing. And it's a very hard line to walk for moderators (promise--this is the only time I'll talk as a member of the staff!). To know what's okay and what's not. To try to keep a clean community while maintaining what is offered. If more people in their clans posted and actually thought about it, even for 20 seconds before they hit that "Add Reply" button, things could stand a good chance of improving. I have no doubt that the community's still here, fun games or not. Just the work has to come back. I'm going to take your challenge, and I'm going to try (again) to see how many people in Solace will come along as well. I care, and I wonder how many other people do too.
  4. I don't see what your point was. Dangerous PvP worlds were catering to a very small group of people, but you don't see people complaining about that. Oh sure, this item has other uses as well, but as a clanmember, that's the absolute first thing that springs to mind.
  5. tome of frost costs 3k more tokens and has twice the magic attack bonus... Where would f2p need to save 2 inventory spots anyway? solo bandos? Wars in castlewars. Invent space is precious, and people will put lots of time into even the smallest bonuses. Safe CWA is all about the advantage in gear and organization.
  6. I can't stand toolbars on web-browsers >_> I can't even begin to state how much I loathe them. I really think I'll be staying away from this one. RuneScript in IRC spams when the GE updates and I know when D&D's update. My alternatives do it better without cluttering up my browser. :/
  7. Always been like that.
  8. I haven't heard anything new about it.
  9. 10/10. Whatever you lack is within reach given your stats. You can't get much better than that.
  10. Sorry, I assumed that if you had the items in question, you could check them yourself. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?item1=7107&item2=8919&rs2item_tools=&compare=&submit=Compare The BGS is superior in crush, strength as well as giving you a prayer boost.
  11. They're weak to crush, so the best crush-stat weapon you have available to you.
  12. He clearly doesn't have a yak, so mentioning gp/hr rates that involve them are useless. Also a berserkers and hatchets are more like 1/100, aren't they? Hatchets usually barely cover the cost of runes for extended trips.
  13. You could have a decent amount of success at DKs and get lucky in order to make massive profit. Or you could have a dry streak and lose money. This is an option, but not a reliable one. With your stats, you could farm herbs and range aviansies. Or you could Runecraft. Or you could fish sharks or cut yews/magics. These are all constant moneymakers, but significantly less gp per hour. You could also kill Green Dragons, which is constant money, but frustrating due to the sheer competition. It's all up to you when you take your short- and long-term goals into consideration, really.
  14. * This is the part im most troubled ,if i dont a enchanted excaliber should i bother brining a regular excaliber? - No. The reason why people bring the EE is because once enhanced, its special will heal you 200ish LP over a small period of time. The regular Excalibur has no such special attack. * Also for trio should i use tort+ uni or just uni and how many brews n so should i have? - I would say just a Unicorn, and just do as many brew/restores you can after you bring your other potions into play. Bring 1 pouch for every hour you intend to be there. I would imagine you'd have a hard time using all the supplies in a tort before it dies, but that depends on how good you/the rest of your team are.
  15. I'd switch to graahking then, since nats are more stable and easy to sell.
  16. Depends on what you prioritize. If you don't care about selling, ZMI is your best bet regardless for exp. If that's not your issue and selling is, then Graahking is superior to doing deaths. You can convert more ess per hour and make more money.
  17. It's not constant and it usually updates once every 24hrs. IT will update more than that if it needs to.
  18. Kimberly replied to badphooeybad's topic in Help and Advice
Keep trying. It eventually went away for me. Moving to help & advice. Please post ALL your runescape questions there--always. :)
  19. I have a horrible temper. I have problems coping with stress. I can be spiteful when feeling hurt. Basically my biggest flaw is being exactly like my mother. <_<
  20. Your short answer is yes, it's worth it. Once you're able to farm high level herbs, you'll find that you're profiting with each harvest. Even if you choose to buy your own supercompost. And until you get there, you shouldn't cut too much into your cash pile. Low- and mid-leveled allotment, tree, and fruit trees are very cheap.
  21. Does anyone know if the Familiarization Distractions and Diversions resets on a certain day, like Penguins?
  22. Since this was mentioned, I'd like to take a moment and say R.I.P Red Dead Redemption's creative story. They spent such time building up a really awesome story, characters, and everything...and it all crapped out in the end. They could've taken the same concept and just...done so much more with it. [bleep] you Rockstar Games. I hate you.
  23. See what kind of trials it makes you do. If they have any of the three types listed here, then it's Elite. Elites only have those three types listed there.
  24. If money is no problem, then just make the best thing you can at the time. Simple as that :)
  25. Weird, I never had an error like that. You tried Blizzard's tech support/support forums I'm assuming?
