  1. The events/services one. Let me get a link. EDIT: the proper name is "Events", here's a link: http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?42,43 EDIT^2: Sorry, the link didn't work. Just search "gilded altar" though, you'll get tons of hits.

Removed the spam. Keep it on topic.
  3. Well, I'm going to be with my own clan, but the offer is nice.
  4. Just wanted to say thank you to all who applied. There were lots of great applications, we could only choose so many. Grats you three and welcome back Yguy.

Every clan spies. If they say otherwise, they're either lying, or not seriously involved in 'competitive pvp'. It's funny that most of the people on this topic who say their clan doesn't have spies are comfortable with delivering such bold-faced lies. Or perhaps their leadership is just that good at keeping secrets. Don't know. What do you think about spying? If you're not good enough to catch a spy, that's your problem. If you're not smart enough to secure your forum account to prevent it from being used, that's your problem. Does your clan spy on another clan? Think so, or if we aren't now we have in the past. Would you say it's NH? It's necessary, just like taking a world from a clan planning to fight there would be, just like anything else that skirts that fine line of morality. I'm not happy with it, just like I'm sure someone with Overloads and a CLS is happy about crashing someone weaker than them, but that's life. The clan world is all about competition, and the key to winning in a competition is utilizing any advantage you can get to the fullest extent, within reason. (Some people will go and say that my feelings are contradictory, or that they're a 'slippery slope' to what allows DDoS'ing. They might be right, if it were anyone else. I know where I draw my lines personally, and it basically ends there insofar as my 'nh sympathies' are concerned.) I will say though that I have extreme issues with, in the case of forum spies, maliciously affecting that individual--that happened with several of our officials who had the misfortune of using hotmail...
  6. Don't you think they wouldn't make an update if they didn't plan to utilize it to the fullest? Just because they didn't say that "Z-Buffering will be used for <random>!" doesn't mean that it isn't going to be used for future big game updates. All of these seemingly innocuous updates, like this and RuneTek 5 and others, build up to allow them to do bigger and better things over time. Or would you rather they just not tell you about it and leave the week blank anyway?
  7. Oh really? I could've sworn I had the opportunity (ie another event) once I completed my set, but...honestly? After so many runs my brain turned to jello and I could've easily got mixed up. Is there anywhere that says this?
  8. I'll continue with the example you gave, Thieving. You just yielded to a Knight who you 'accidentally' slugged in the face. You yield. Now what? Does he let you get away with it? Do we expect our characters to run away, free from harm? What if it was a Tormented Demon, who doesn't even understand the concept of it? No, he's ticked off that you just bugged him out of a pleasant daydream about squishing noobs--or perhaps, considering the situation, you just made his day as he moves in for the squish while you try to 'yield'... What I'm trying to get at is the concept of Yielding makes sense, but doesn't fit in very well with the game as it stands. Maybe if they had jails, like in Oblivion, that you spent a certain amount of time in, something like this has a chance of working. However, since Runescape is an MMORPG, it's realtime and you can't skip past a lengthy jail time. And monsters don't understand yielding, only running away, which you'd do anyway. The concept is neat, but I don't think it'd work.
  9. I find creating an outline, although a huge PITA, can be helpful in keeping my thoughts together. I tend to ramble otherwise. Be sure you read it to someone else/yourself before you feel that you're finished. I often find while writing things that while I know what I want to say, I don't always make my message clear enough. Don't be afraid of doing rough drafts, they can only get better from there
  10. Nope. Stop into any crowded clan chat of skillers and ask them how many lumberjack hats or boots they have, for example...Personally I have 4 hats and 3 boots before I completed my set.
  11. Moving to Tech & Computers. You'll get a faster answer to your question there. :)
  12. I don't think there's enough shading under the nose. It makes it look like it's turned upward a bit (like Michael Jackson's was, you're completely right XD).
  13. Slobber. Elite Diaries <3 Telling us that we need 95 prayer for one of them, therefore making manipulators buy out all the dragon bones they can... </3 Well, there's been a few new areas to kill dragons now since Curses came out. Hopefully it won't be such a PITA to get dragonbones this time around.
  14. The Art Bazaar might be able to help you get a hold of a banner that matches your skin.
  15. There is a bug with the Court Cases D&D, but please remember: discussion and/or admission to bug abuse is against the rules. Please refrain from explaining how to abuse the bug on this topic (or anywhere else on the boards, for that matter!) :)
  16. :wall: That's what happened with Witch's Potion and Sheep Shearer. They will most likely be left as miniquests only because of the fact that Willholmes mentioned (I think?), that it ties in with a few other quests.
  17. Don't look too far into it lol... [spoiler=News releases for removing crappy f2p quests] As compared to: There's nothing hidden or strange about it. That's all that's going to happen.
  18. It will more than likely lose its quest status, like Witch's Potion did. Not really a big deal.
  19. I'm extremely excited for the upcoming court cases. I got most of my summons via cluescrolls and slayer tasks, but they were a delight. I still have my difficulties with gauging how to present, but that's just my weird self. They were fun, and I can't wait to do more. This weekend, I plan to scape like there's no tomorrow. Smithing, farming, runecrafting, prayer, and herblore shall fall beneath my mighty and furious clicking! Wahahah! >Z Buffering
  20. Moving your thread to Tech and Computers. While you'll get some help in H&A, you should get a faster response in T&C :)
  21. Always lovely to meet new people and great to see old faces  Hope to see you bringing some interesting PvP challenges to the TWR. :)
  22. If it was truly a rollback, then no it wasn't destroyed.
  23. There aren't a whole lot of ways to camp barrows for as many kills as the TC is explaining. It's a specialty guide, not a general guide. That's my opinion, anyway.
  24. Word of mouth will always be your strongest method of recruitment. Friends telling friends, posting topics, having your members post frequently with clan sigs like that, etc. You will have a hard niche to fill, since I question how many bots will be in pvp settings, but everything is worth trying once! Organizing forums becomes a lot more simple when you look into free forum hosting, such as Zetaboards, invisionfree, or IPBFree. Tip.it also offers private forums to clans, I believe, but you'd have to PM an administrator for that. Your community events (like you mentioned Safe PvP, PVM, etc) can easily be supplemented and serve as a recruitment opportunity. For PvM'ing if you don't have enough people for a successful trip, you could post on the RSOF to get people to come along, etc. Then you could even try recruiting them. Tipit also has a Teamspeak server now, so if you happen to recruit a lot of Tiffers, you can all talk in there. Alternatively, Skype works equally well for small groups of people.
