no more ents = no more broken axes?
I'm fairly certain that a Jagex Mod has claimed that these items will not be discontinued. Therefore, that leaves removing them or allowing them to change back into their fixed form/automatically change them back to their fixed form. Let me find the post. EDIT: Actually, this is taken straight from the BTS article. They don't specifically mention broken axes and pickaxes, but if they're not discontinuing any current rewards, it'd make absolutely no sense for them to discontinue those two items.

Has anybody noticed
How is this favoritism? P2P'ers can't do this either. Check the RSOF, P2P'ers post about trying to report bad sites all the time and their posts get wiped by forum mods and their topic gets locked. Customer Service is (almost) equal between members and free players. (I say almost for the common reasons.)

The Balance Elemental
Maybe by saying that the Balance Elemental was passing the torch? Are we (you) now the guardian of the stone of Jas? Maybe thats how we are going to defeat Lucien? We now have the favor of Guthix and cannot die while protecting the stone? Much like Zanik wasn't allowed to die in Death to the Dorgesh'unn? Hmmm.. Probably the more believable theories right now. :o

Look, it's another Chicken Little! Better watch out, that sky is falling fast, huh! ;D I don't think 99 crafting or 99 smithing is any less respectable since the release of SC. So where'd you get that little nugget of wisdom? said the girl/woman with 79 slayer. Oh no, she doesn't have x-level! She must not have any common sense! Or any sort of logical reasoning! Or any friends with high levels! Shun her!!! SHUUUUNNNNNNNNN. A Jagex Moderator has already stated that it'll be SLOWER exp than current methods, so this isn't really an issue. Back on topic...There's still time for Jagex to perfect this Price Check thing. Though, someone help me here. Lots of my friends are reading this update and going, "Wow! This will pricecheck my whole bank! This is awesome!" Buuuuuutt....I'm not getting that from that paragraph. It's only your inventory, including stacks, right? Just want to make sure my reading comprehension hasn't regressed, here. ;D

Where'd August 2009 come from?

02-February-2009 Behind The Scenes - February
Yet otherwise it's free exp yes? You certainly didn't EARN it (edit: DIRECTLY earn it), so from whence does the exp come from? Just saying, we've got a bunch of 99 Slaying Chicken Littles running around with their heads chopped off, crying about the sky and who knows what else.

No you won't. :P But seriously, I don't think we should worry about massive exp rewards for Slayer being released, Jagex aren't stupid enough to do that imo. As far as I'm aware, the last minigame that increased the amount of exp/hour significantly was Pest Control. ;) DO NOT DOUBT ME. But, I do agree. I'm a little worried, but I can't imagine that Jagex would ever do that. I think if anything, it'll be a way to train Slayer safely, but for significantly reduced experience. even that would be bad :shame: Oh ppffftt. Now listen, all you naysayers. Did you have a freak-fest when Sumona's rewards after Smoking Kills allowed players to cash in for Slayer EXP? No. (Or if you did, you REALLY didn't understand how the system worked.) Chances are you'll be able to obtain SOME slay exp OR other rewards--which will probably be more useful than some cruddy 3k slayer EXP for 20min worth of work. Yeesh.

Doesn't really sound like it's pvp-based, guess we'll have to see though. If it's castlewars like, you'll most likely be in competition with another player. Though you're right, it might not mean one player fighting another. My bad ;D

More likely they're trying to keep up with WoW's daily quest, as it gives them a competitive advantage. Have no fear though, your attempts at cute sarcasm were duly noted.

Quest 150
All I have to say is...it better be worth the wait. I miss my 1 quest per month! :(

02-February-2009 Behind The Scenes - February
I am very...uninterested in this month. Quite frankly, some of the "updates" they're doing aren't all that interesting to me. The most significant of them is the "Random Event" update that they promised all the way back in 2004. The quest reordering? Junk. The quest journal outlined what quests you could or couldn't do with just a click. The price check feature? Junk. Unless it does the ENTIRE INVENTORY all at once, it too, is just another useless script. Quite happy to see another D&D released, but I'm a little weary of what it offers in the way of experience. We already HAVE a D&D that trains combat and firemaking--most notably the Phoenix D&D. I would have rather seen different skill, like Herblore or Runecrafting, as the reward. Still, can't argue with free EXP...right? TBH, one of the updates they SHOULD have done was rethinking the way they class D&D's. As far as I'm concerned, the Jade Vine, Bork hunting, and other similar things are all D&D's, since you can do them repeatedly after x-amount of time passes. Can't argue with another minigame, I guess, even though it's yet ANOTHER PvP minigame... So long as it doesn't provide runes/arrows/food, I'll be happy. They say it's Castlewars-esque, so that shouldn't be an issue. When will they stop neglecting skilling minigames, though? I crave another Vinesweeper-like game! Or Great Orb Project game! Those are fun and useful minigames, in my opinion. Don't know about you. And LOLOL. It seems like Runescape is desperately trying to tailor Mobilizing Armies into more classy "Armies of Gielinor" minigame. Found this to be quite funny. Who wants to bet that the release of Armies of Gielinor on Funorb was just a subtle way to get Runescape Player beta tester feedback while simultaneously gaining more Funorb+Runescape subscriptions? Those clever monkies.

So the people who lost thousands if not millions in the "falador massacre glitch" shouldn't be concerned about the bug at all? Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from! [/sarcasm] Your argument might fly if this wasn't a community. But it IS a community. So it doesn't. The brutal facts is that bugs like this DO affect us, whether it's as mundane as being bumped off the high scores or severe as an ill-gotten lvl 99 now floods the market with surplus goods. Etc, etc. I'm not going to waste your time and mine by giving excruciatingly detailed examples in essay format.

NFL Super Bowl-Post who you think will make it and or win..
Sloppy? The first half of the game, the Steelers played like a well-oiled machine. After the half, everyone started getting too aggressive. There were tons of personal fouls and holding calls. Especially that holding call in the endzone that very nearly gave the Cardinals the game...*grumbles* freaking safety... Still, Steelers deserved to win after how well they played. I'm happy with the turnout.

"Is The Shift Coming?" was a very interesting article, yet they hardly touched on other international economies. Americans are not the only people who play runescape, after all! What about England's recent bank nationalization due to the Labor party, or the recent economic collapse of Sweden? But regardless, that's not the point of the article now is it ;D You'll actually see LOTS of online businesses, be it gaming or otherwise, performing in the green this year. Just look at Amazon.com! They've actually seen GROWTH! I don't think there will be much of a decline in membership. Web-based businesses are just too stable right now. ;3 BRB LOL READING THE OTHERS!

No. Just no. Don't help spread the panic. OP admitted to trying to manipulate the market, why is this still open?

Not to be skeptical or anything but I doubt your "lawyer in the family" will want to jeopardize his reputation over a $5 squabble. In a case against a corporation. An international corporation. Who has every right not to refund your money as per what is stated in the TOS when you made your account. So...Good luck with that!

Mass banning for penguins?
umm i seen your video 9 0 percent well i think i did? lol didnt u make this video? You're probably the 3rd person to make this claim, don't feel bad. But actually watch the video, and see if he gets ANY points from clicking the penguin. He doesn't. So you're wrong.

Why Skip Out on Bandos?
I always thought it was a matter of the other types of mages having less defense. But maybe I'm wrong.

-Your early days of runescape-
i dont get it? how do you low alch ore into gold ore? I could have sworn that for a while, when you used alchemy spells it turned them into gold and not GP. But maybe I'm mistaken. I remember alching something that I should've been certing. Perhaps it was the silver I was supposed to be certing, and I was alching other things. It's been 5 years, cut me some slack please :-# Not all of us have astounding memories. '-' (EDIT: 5? 6? I forget that, too! It was before I started dating, so somewhere after 5 years, but probably below 6)

A sad excuse for Jagex unfairly banning players who gained XP normally. Their criteria for catching players who they think participated in the glitch is nothing short of stupid. Actually, in anything that was big in RS history with a glitch, they claim that they punished the players fairly when in fact they didn't, because they don't want to waste time looking into who did what and when and where. Well, firstly they said it was temporary while they manually sift through the banned accounts. AND they're doing it as we speak, which shocked me. I thought people were going to have to wait until the next business day for these manual reviews to be processed. Already an innocent TIF'er, G_P_Kid, was unbanned. (He admits to this on another thread, see "Mass banning for penguins?".)

Ughhh. People shouldn't HAVE to wait. For the innocent, this is absolutely asinine. EDIT: First post for the lulz. EDITEDIT: Apparently they're working out manually reviewing accounts as we speak...my bad! I thought that the people wrongfully banned would have to wait all weekend. Boy am I glad I didn't make an [wagon] out of myself on the RSOF >.>
