  1. I think perhaps what you're thinking of is that the COMMUNITY is too immature. Sure, the game does attract a younger crowd--which, if Mod MMG is to be believed, this will be changing--but the game itself does have a more "serious" tone when you delve into quest storylines and the like.
  2. I would like to point out the similarities between this apology for the past leadership (or "administration" if you will) by a new CEO and how things will change on RS... ...and the apologies made by USA's current President for the previous administration and what will be changing from now on. I don't know. I laughed a little when I saw the (nonrealistic) correlation. Thought others might too.
  3. Take it as a compliment. They were learning from the best. You're not really going to be losing much in the way of attendance to TET/TETAU events. The Jagex-geared events will most likely attract the RSOF audience that Tip.It seems to hate anyway. Unless they offer special, untradeable items, I honestly don't think you'll be losing much. Your events are always going to be superior. Want to know why? Because they're not going to be held by uptight J-Mods. They always have a close-knit community at TET events. RSOF simply cannot compete because there are too many of them, and their forums are lame in comparison.
  4. We use IPB v2.1.7. I am positively in love with this version, because it offers some of the cleanest board designs I've seen. When I look at IPBFree, Invisionfree, etc...they all too "busy" or unclean. To be fair, unless you write your own skins, Invisionfree doesn't offer a lot in customizing options. IPB is a paid-for service. I'm unsure of the price, because our members are nice enough to donate towards the cost of our hosting server + software. Other than that, I'm a fan of phpBB and vBulletin too... But IPB is what my clan currently uses.
  5. From my experience, that is nowhere near. I have killed hundreds of green dragons, with no egg drop. No idea what the rate actually is, but it's low. Very low. You don't have 99 summon... Can you only get the egss at 99 summon? Yes. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=7345
  6. Does it explain why there wasn't an update this week? Because now they have four to do and only three weeks to release them. Perhaps they're releasing the 150th quest after all and combining all the small "updates" like price check, quest reorganization, and Randoms rework in one update...they just wanted to keep it really "hush hush" ;) EDIT: I forgot to include the OTHER HALF of what I was thinking. Mah bahd. '-'
  7. im surprised nobody mentioned this yet but this line basically means Soul Wars Interesting. So this might mean there is a green and a red team. I also thought that this could've been a reference to the two ever-quarrelling goblins in the Goblin Village. Shortly before this paragraph, he discusses Bandos and how the white bird (or what most people refer to as Zanik now) quarrel. Is there any chance that this new minigame will be located within that twisted land we saw? Or am I wildly speculating again ;D
  8. Why, then, does it not say "Minigame"? If it was a blank minigame tab, wouldn't it say it? Sure, you could argue that it could. But you could also argue that it couldn't. Both are equally likely without hard evidence...and since this topic is nothing but speculation, who knows.
  9. Yes, any old coal will do. You can purchase 120 coal from the GE and run it to the coal trucks start point, and withdraw it all after you get the completion message.
  10. I clearly see shading and a bevel there, as well as an overall shorter height to the bar. It's in no way similar to the old HP bar. But I do say I have to agree with you on making JPEG illegal. Wouldn't that solve everything
  11. [hide=Image of someone fighting in the Fight Caves with their HP showing, saved as .JPEG][/hide] Not so fast. Take a look at the HP bar in this photo. This was saved as a standard JPEG. I don't see the same kind of shading on the HP bar here that I did in that picture. Compression levels can vary, and you'll notice that HP bar is mostly green, whereas the one in the image in question is fully red. The color of the data in question, as well as the colors of the pixels in close proximity to it, can make a vast difference in the final appearance of a decoded image. That doesn't explain the shading, even if it was compressed for web standards. It wouldn't look shaded. It would look blurry.

EDIT: Show me a thread on the RSOF where a Jagex Mod says that this is the cause and then maybe there's some legitimacy to your claim.
  13. Giving back 60k at a time kinda takes a while if you give something worth a couple of mil, though  Like I said, get creative. You could choose items that might have more sentimental value, you could take a picture and make a collage of your more memorable moments and send it to them. You could transfer in Bounty Hunter. Or you could do as you suggested. There's a few other things you can do too.
  14. No, it doesn't. The people who design things like this are in a completely separate department. Also, not every worker is suited for every task. For example, you might not want someone in charge of Graphics Design treat with you in customer service, because they could be terrible people with terrible people skills.
  15. I can still give my friends gifts. Get more creative.
  16. Ralvash was the name of a Mahjarrat recently addressed in the Postbag from the Hedge, in a letter sent from "Azzanadra." Muspah could be another dead Mahjarrat. The Chaos Elemental references the shadows, which could refer to Sliske, a still-living Mahjarrat. Perhaps Sliske will re-emerge and start his own, branched off storyline, and we will have to deal with it. Somewhere in the ice lands? I have no idea what this stands for. Who is Nial? Who is B.Y.? And what are these days that we do not recall "with pleasure"? The only time I could think of is the God Wars, when war was rampant across Gielinor. EDIT: Bah! Someone already beat me to the PFTH reference. Sorry ;d
  17. That was my favorite part, too! The author of the first poem was very, very good. :) I didn't like the response so much, but it was fair. :) And you can't beat the picture of Jad surrounded by roosters...heheehe =D>
  18. No i havn't posted it their someone might of 7 or so pages in but how many people do you see reading all the pages in a long thread? This is a different thread it discusses customer service, it just has penguins involved a little bit aswell. You posted about the same situation in two separate topics. Not really "unheard of" when they made an official statement saying that they would ban all those associated with the glitch manually, then sift through the banned accounts, looking for innocent players to unban them. Most of the time if you didn't do anything wrong and you appeal, you'll get that offense removed. I did it, my friend recently did it for his Permanent Mute over some confusion when he said the word "Jew". Sure, there are people who aren't always successful. But Jagex isn't this big, negligent parent (moderation/appeal) who beats their kids (members) like everyone makes them seem to be.
  19. You've never seen anyone as cold as Jagex...?! They just happen to donate to like 10 different charities, they have moved to a new office just to reduce their outlet of harmful gas and has been ranked one of the top 100 best companies in britain to work for. I believe it was in the top 15. To add onto that, if you think Jagex is a bad business, you've obviously never played Conquer Online. With them, you have buy 4 "dragonballs" in order for them to even LOOK at your account in the event it's stolen--that's about 75$ USD. And most of the time, even if you have bought dragonballs, they still won't look at it. I always laugh when people pay 5 dollars a month, purposely break the rules, then whine that Jagex "sent them an automated message." At least Jagex responds to you.
  20. None in February. However, if you check the RSOF after an update in the Recent Updates forum, they list the "Patch Notes" which usually includes small graphical changes. I'm sure a "visual upgrade" is due for some area soon, though. It is upgrade year, after all. :)
  21. One thing that I can think of is attempting to buy tons of maple longs at min at the GE and fletch them into Unstrung Maple Longs. Edit: D'oh! Sorry. Rather than double posting, I'll just edit... Smith gold bars to gold unstrung amulets Collect drops from dragons OTher than that I don't know.
  22. if jagex love us all equally then why they don't let us complain and tell them the things that f2per like and dislike ? -.- Go ahead. Pay the 5$ in membership and complain on the Game Feedback forum and see how far that gets you. If posting something on the RSOF makes you feel like you're being heard, more power to you. In reality, it's very hard to get your topic noticed in the RSOF without a hefty supporter list and a well thought out, concise argument. And even that doesn't guarantee anything. They DO listen to the players though. Let me just edit this in before Jagex-lovers decide to go on a crusade. My only point that it takes quite a bit of work and time to get them to do so, even for members.
  23. Think about why they lock the thread. If players are saying to Jagex, "Here Look! Here is a website selling RS Gold! Quick Ban it!", they are doing exactly that by removing evidence of that site and taking care of it in the backstage. It's not that they don't care about it. They do, thats why they are quickly removing the link to the website. I mean, why would a forum mod look at it and delete the post without taking it into further consideration, especially when it deals with RWT? The only reason it looks that they don't care is because they aren't sending a thank you letter to every person who tips them off. But that wasn't my point at all there. I wasn't attacking what they're doing, rather arguing the OP's argument that F2P doesn't get the same treatment when it comes to reporting websites. They're the same.
  24. Didn't you post this in the topic you made before? Why make a seperate topic about the same matter of discussion? Regardless, happy to see you both unbanned.
  25. The way you train slayer normally? :o -.- Void knights send you into battle in Pest Control. Slayer master sends you into battle in SW. Somebody needs to look after the minigame; in this case it can be a slayer master. A slayer task = killing a bunch of monsters. Is that not slayer? I like this concept. It could also give us an idea into how Slayer Masters are chosen, and why Duradel's rise to Slayer Master rank was so tumultuous. Maybe a glimpse of info into Lapalok's history?
