  1. My friend, click this link to be enlightened. What I've linked above is one of the best guides to use & learn how to solo Dagannoth Rex. You'll not have to struggle to find a world, it's relatively easy to get into the cave without a suicider, and it's fantastic money. If you find bosses aren't your flavor of the day, I suggest killing green dragons (250k+ per hr), or crafting black dragonhides and selling them back to the GE (this is 500k per hr if you do it right).
  2. To be honest, it seems as if you answered your own question, OP. One of the few practical uses out there for a Unicorn is GWD/Boss hunting. If you won't be doing that until a while from now, there's no need to get it. Stick with prayer, max your combat, then get the Unicorn. Bunyip is suitable for 90% of the slayer tasks you'll be challenged with anyway, whereas a Unicorn is overkill.
  3. I think it's nerdy either way. HI BLINGKACHI50 <3
  4. Oh thank the lord. Sometimes I'd misclick on the wrong lever because they were so close together... That is a little bit overkill in expansion, but yay no more misclicking! <3
  5. No chance. The vast majority of Runescape players are combat focused. Those that do dabble in skilling level for quests and then go back to Soul Wars/Pest Control/Armoured Zombies. Farming isn't a well liked skill and this won't make people flock to it. A lot of people just do herbs and this update doesn't really effect them much as it was possible to farm all 5 patches with a Terrorbird and just 1 bank. As it was you could still bank allotments very easily with a Terrorbird and some baskets. This is just a nice bonus for those who do farm. By that logic, since people hate farming, they'd be cheap yes? Langer's right: they will probably rise but stabilize later. Still, those seeds are so much gp per exp...Does this make it worthwhile to train with allotments vs trees/fruit trees/herbs? I don't think so.
  6. Agility 50 to 52 --> Use the barbarian agility course. Smithing 38 to 50 --> Iron plates w/ ring of forging Thieving 42 to 53 --> 42-45, pickpocket guards; 45+, Pyramid Plunder Firemaking 53 to 55 --> buy willows, they're very cheap Fletching 43 to 55 --> buy maple logs, fletch them. Use them as junk in the future. Herblore 51 to 57 --> Save this until last. Grow the best herbs you can while trying to get your other stats. You'll probably, at the end of it all, be only lvl 54. After this, gather your own herbs to minimize profit loss, since you don't have a lot of money left at this point. Fishing 54 to 62 --> Fish lobsters/swordfish. Keep your raws. Cooking 52 to 70 --> Cook what you caught for fishing. To mimimize loss, cook tuna the rest of the way. Crafting 55 to 60 --> Make gold unstrung amulets. It's a little slow, but you'll profit. Hunting 24 to 50 --> Catch butterflies until you can catch swamp lizards, then train til lvl 50. Those are just my opinions. I'm sure more people will elaborate and have better ideas as this thread goes on.
  7. It's extremely useful, but I can only see this shooting up the price of allotment seeds even more.
  8. A christmas cracker. People call me crazy, but I want that piece of history. If I was ever rich enough...that would be one of the things I'd buy.
  9. If you're going for the fastest EXP per hour, you're better off using the Ourania Teleport/ZMI altar method. viewtopic.php?f=180&t=767262&hilit=ZMI+altar+guide
  10. -Do they buy on the GE? Or do people junk trade millions for a single dagger? --> I did a quick search on the RSOF and there is no threads asking to buy them for higher than the GE price. I think it's fair to say that, if anything, they might be more of a "junk" item. But by all means, try selling it in the GE. It's probably your best bet. -This is about the member's Corrupt items. The ones that don't have 'Corrupted' in their name degrade during combat. But will they still degrade in combat if they're in your inventory, and not equipped? --> Degradable pvp items will only disappear after 30min/1hr of USE. I don't think it'll degrade while in your inventory. I think they degrade if you have them equipped, however.
  11. I find it more disheartening to see the small rush of WG members, one who even made an account to post on this thread, to insult Tri for acting within the rules. I guess that's just me.
  12. As much as I'm unhappy with it, we could probably expect a rollback. The widespread consequences of this were SO BAD that they had to DISABLE areas of the game. I trained a lot today (considering my exams) and I'm not going to be happy, but to not do anything isn't right.
  13. Neit helm gives a bigger strength bonus. Look at the item comparison: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?i ... it=Compare On one hand, Veracs gives better def. It depends on your situation. I personally always use my Neit because it doesn't degrade, and the +3 strength helps. (Unless I'm slaying of course.)
  14. Dragon Platebody, Abyssal Whip Santa Hat, Mask item, etc I lend my whip out now that I'm training strength for a day at a time and make about 50k a day for nothing.
  15. Updated with the release of the new randoms change. Since the shade is no longer a random event, they've made it an NPC you can find in the SoS.
  16. Slayer doesn't yield a lot of profit until 85+ and takes a considerable amount of time. I pick up my drops, and most of the time I just about break even. I very rarely profit. It's a good long-term strategy, but if you're looking for short term, Joe's suggestions are the way to go. Another exceptional moneymaker is soloing rex. There are lots of good guides for this on the forums. I usually get a drop almost every trip, which is a free 1.8mil. Rex has been very good to me <3
  17. Make sure you only special the Spinloyps with that SGS. You'll not hit well on Rex. Brainymidget's guide has a very nicely detailed inventory list, as well as alternatives depending on your attack style (slayer dart, fire wave, or CoG). viewtopic.php?f=103&t=744889&hilit=brainymidget I know that when I use bunyip/guthans, I only bring about 9 brews, 4 restores. I imagine that since you have a tortoise/titan, you'd need considerably less. I wouldn't bother with tortoises once you have a healing familiar as good as a titan, but that's my personal preference.
  18. Sorry, but there are questions in the General Discussion forum, in fact: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=784851 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=775551 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=783649 Those are just a few... Nice find, but the consistency is lacking.[/hide] The consistency depends on how many mods are active and how many users report a post for being in the wrong forum. Forum mods ARE allowed to have lives, you know, and don't have all day to police a forum. Regardless, the question did belong here ^^ On topic: It's been around since the release of RS2, I know that much. It got a redesign when the wilderness was redesigned (I think) but hasn't been touched since.
  19. EDIT: ...wat. Sorry, didn't realize I double posted... :x
  20. I agree, but I'm not surprised. They always lag behind on their "Knowledge Base" which is now nothing more than a glorified site search. (I miss the way it was before, separate like the GEDB is.) When I saw that these minor updates were delayed, I was really hoping Jagex would add a "Price Check Bank" feature to this batch of updates. Ah well, what can ya do. 3 The random rework was nice, and I cbf'd about the quest journal thing because I have a quest point cape.
  21. RSC RAW requires warring in CWA for rank. Or it did about a month ago. I confess, I haven't read the RAW rules recently because it's a cruddy measurement of a clan's strength.
  22. I'm glad to see you win, TRI. :) Sorry again about before, our War Councils are afk-nublets! I'm glad to see your fight wasn't crashed in PvP. Better luck next time WG.
  23. Even with free trade, fires and willows were this cheap. Why is there whining here.
