  1. You don't even know if this raises the EXP per HR significantly enough to warrant the extra hours spent sloshing through and gathering ectoplasm + bone meal for an extra what, 60xp per bone? Altar's always going to be the choice for me. There's always an open one and I never have to collect ectoplasm again. Now if they still allowed you to BUY ectoplasm from the Charter Ships and this update came out...then I might've had something to squawk about with you ;)
  2. You should save them and try training your stats whilst training slayer. It's fairly easy to do in the lower levels.
  3. I dunno. Well if you can get everyone to stop selling everything, it'll all become frozen. '-'
  4. By that same coin, neither is the track record of a banned person. We're still waiting on Jagex to deliver when it comes to Pking minigames. Yes, Fist of Guthix was a little bit of a flop, but they've got more in the works. And a quest they said would revolutionize firemaking? That's just a blatant lie. Here's what the REAL news article actually said about the quest and its rewards. I don't see how they mislead there. Yes, beacon lighting gave an ALTERNATIVE METHOD to training FM. And who wouldn't be excited about exp-boosting items and a woodcutting axe that burned as it went?! As for those names you bring up, I confess, I'm not aware of them. I do know that the 'compensation' they offer is meager in comparison to what you lose sometimes. Yet how is that in the same coin as bug abuse? It's an unfair matter, to be sure, but not exactly related to ingame bugs.
  5. I like the Tip.It Times because they present topics that require lots of though and analysis of the subject. But...this article has a lot of biased and not a lot that the common population didn't know. Not to mention that all the while I read it, it felt like just a constant Jagex-bash. Still, it was interesting to read.
  6. Why is there only one King Black Dragon spawn? Well A. He's a venerable boss monster and was once so powerful he needed a team to take him down during the days before lootshare, B. His drops today, frankly, suck. You can get the visage from black and, I believe, metal dragons. And 3. The Wraith requires FULL BLACK armor to fight. This makes him somewhat time consuming for even the most powerful of players to fight him. So when someone else show's up, you can't overpower them with better gear. You missed my point there with the KBD. The drops of the Tormented Wraith essentially suck, yes? With the exception of one rare item: the elixir. There is a low risk when fighting this monster, and the chance at a VERY valuable reward. Compare this to another boss monster--any of your choosing--and tell me if this seems fair. The Kalphite Queen has similar drops as well, yet is more hard than the KBD, let alone the Wraith. Yes, the gear thing is a complete equalizer across the combat levels, but prayer completely nullifies the risk. An inventory of prayer potions and one could stay there many hours and make a decent amount of money even WITHOUT an elixir drop. I tried my luck there, and I made 100k an hour. My friend tried his luck there and made 200k+ an hour. All with little risk. Even killing Green Dragons, which are a lower level and far more weak, are more dangerous simply because of it's environment. There is nothing, truly, that makes the Tormented Wraith particularly dangerous. He hits hard, but not fast enough to KO someone. All of these are beside the point, though. I'm sorry for getting off topic. My suggestion to add onto the OT's topic was that they should investigate ways to make this NPC a little more difficult, so people weren't able to camp there quite as long. Harder to camp = more of a chance you could find an open world. Crashers, however, can't be avoided. I won't even venture a guess at how to stop it. O_O
  7. You could always make some friends and take it down together, or endure the crashings and the torments on an online game. Why is there only one King Black Dragon spawn, with the chance of dropping a Visage, yet no one has clamored for more spawns? If anything, I'd like to see the Tormented Wraith hit through prayer. Then you wouldn't see as many campers, and the drops would be worth the risk. Currently, the risk-reward is very skewed at that portal.
  8. Oh god, no. No no no. Nonononononono. Should a player want popularity...work for it. Having the biggest wallet does not make you cool, let's keep it that way.
  9. The GE randomly updates, it's not static like the other things... ...right? Now I'm confused and uncertain!
  10. Why wouldn't you go after the quickest kill?
  11. They've barely gone up by 8gp, the bolts. I don't think they'll be skyrocketing, but it might be a good minor investment. Personally, I bought 3 zamorakian spears today.
  12. If you use a halberd, expect to be crashed. A scimitar hits twice as fast and almost as hard. Scimitar + praying is just the best way to go IMO. ' - '
  13. If you want a creature that drops spirit shields and elixirs AND is solo'able, they have one. Tormented Wraith, Dark Warrior's Fortress. ' - '
  14. Does he say anything different with an unlocked ring of charos?
  15. How'd you find this out?
  16. Of course it's relevant to the Sept. 15th update, you can only enter the portal at the Dark Warrior's castle with the upgraded Jennica's ring after completing Summer's End. You gain experience from entering this portal (I think it's Def, but I didn't grab a screenie of that one) and the NPC here has interesting, but sofar useless drops. The pouches you're supposed to use to lure the beast into the cave are those that require a blue charm to create. So an Albino Rat, Mithril Minotaur, etc...
  17. one what is the relevence to this 2 as much as i hate to qoute /b/ pic or it didn't happen ...rofl. Whatever, here's your proof. Happy now? -.-
  18. The Tormented Wraith in the Dark Warrior Castle (hidden portal) will attack you in full black armor (credit to RSB boards) and drops various pieces of black armor as well as gold charms.
  19. If you're running properly, you'll get hit less, but expend more run energy. I tried Summer Pies, but I had better luck with super energies. :s
  20. Yes. They're out there. She says they're in areas with high spirit connections, like the farm. I can't find any though :/
  21. After completing Summer's End, you can now enter the weak portal at the ruins (lvl 47 wild) to gain 5k smithing EXP. [hide=][/hide] EDIT: oh ffs, someone beat me to it  EDITEDIT: There's also another weak portal that gives 5k prayer experience. There's also a npc here called, "Spirit". Talking with him now. .-. [hide=]The npc called Spirit seems to be a Zamorakian monk stuck here after being slain in the God Wars, before Guthix intervened. [/hide]
  22. Anyone found any invisible portals yet, or is everyone enamoured with killing the giganto-can'tkillthis-monster? :D
  23. After trapping the beast in the cave, do yourself a big favor: collect the roots THEN build the pyres. Once you have 3 pyres built for the first room, then light them. If you do one after the other, you stand a higher chance of taking damage, as the Beast's attacks become more fierce and more spread out as he is damaged. Learned this the hard way ' - '
  24. The Moriquendi 'sorta' allows swearing. Most of the truly offensive swearing is filtered out both in our IRC and forums. So you could say quite a string of colorful words and you'd either see " sick of this " or "bullpoop quacking sick of this poop" :D
  25. Okay, who on tip.it ticked someone off in Anon? Joking aside, thanks to the staff for keeping the forums and site alive. This late night scaper appreciates the hard work \
