Great Orb Project - A Night in the Game
Cpchris replied to BioIce's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
This was on 8-21-09 but was too lazy to post it till now [: Me and Reborn Mind vs Shy Yellow and Cool Piggy2. Not sure what a "good" or "great" score is for duo earth, but this seemed good enough to post. Also, here's a bonus pic : -
and to the higher level noobs running from the level 30s, i have 1 thing to say: u rock [: who cares if they're lower level. First of all you can last longer... Second of all, it's not as if you're going to have an easy, low level opponent all the time, so you might as well practice new tricks and hiding and running anyways.

Going for 99 Smithing
Cpchris replied to Cpchris's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Thanks (: yeah I really like smithing so I'm hopefully going to stick to it -
I could have sworn when I was at banks and stuff before the GE, that people were selling santas for like 1m, and phats were between 10m-20m...maybe I'm wrong, it was a while ago but I don't remember them being so high.

thanks (:

ok. so when a bunch of serial killers think nothing is wrong with murder, I guess I'll jump in and start killing people since that's what makes it OK. And if I ask "Which color do you like best, Blue or Green?" Does that mean I'm asking for advice on which color to like? no. Just simply asking for their opinion. Also, people are free to post whatever they want about their own outfits or something. I simply just want an answer to my question as well. I didn't say "NO OTHER DISCUSSION!!" in there anywhere did I? I just don't want my own question ignored.
-
Ok, people need to get something straight. I'm not asking "which outfit should I wear?" That's more likely to qualify as advice. I'm in no way asking for advice. It's called CURIOSITY. When people just want to know something. Anyways can this thread be closed before I get arrested for being claimed a terrorist by some other nut on here? I deal with enough dull-minded people IRL, I really don't need anymore online.

I think it would be cool if there were new runecrafter robe colors such as black (not jet black, more like dark grey), white, red, purple. I have posted a RSOF thread. Link: http://[Please Use QuickFind Code].com/c=JDRwa-JvyN ... 1,59435263 There is more to this than just new colors, too, so don't throw the idea away right away. I don't plan on repeating what I said on the RSOF simply because I'd like the responses to go on the RSOF where Jagex will more likely see it. If you can't post on forums, feel free to post your support here. Also, feel free to discuss or copy your RSOF reply here.

Actually it is for discussions not questions, this has no discussion value so it had to be moved. the discussion part is up for interpretation. There are things to discuss about this, so that point isn't really valid. and how is it any more fitting in help and advice? Agh. Okay. For one, there is only a limited discussion that could ever occur here. You asked a question which is bound and therefore limited by the parameters you provided. (You only have two options/two parameters). These types of questions do not promote much discussion at all. Hell, look at your replies. The majority of them are one lined, or, one worded. Do you see my, our, point here? You need not think with these questions, it's a "yes or no" type. It's not a discussion. Yes I do. But there is room for discussion. Just because people AREN'T doesn't mean there ISN'T. If someone posted a thread with no or very few replies, does it necessarily mean there's no room for discussion? No. Many things are "bound". Please point out how many of these threads are "here, come talk about whatever's on your mind". And finally, once more I ask, how would this fit into Help & Advice?
-
They should...itd be no different from cooking

yeah i also agree...this isn't fair. If f2pers wanted to wear skillcapes, theyd have to go for a certain skill, maybe not the one they want. no offense, but that's not really a suggestion. just an ignorant and unthoughtful idea.

ok cool and isn't general forums just for general topics? I wasn't asking for help or advice...I was just curious...which sorta seems like a general-type topic...

So which outfit do you think is better? I'm pure f2p, so not many GOOD options. And I wanted something unique (not just plain blue rc robes or something that everyone wears) and that matched (as in not just dhide body iron platelegs, and fire staff, or some weird looking combo like that). First outfit is blue/gold/orange, second is red/black/white. Basically the two outfits I switch between every couple of months. The second outfit I have Mime boots on, sort of hard to tell, but if I took them off, my shoes would be a lighter color. If its not clear, wearing chicken feet (holiday item) in first outfit. So which do you think looks best?

Great Orb Project - A Night in the Game
Cpchris replied to BioIce's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
*tries to make sense of that, fails, but gets the general idea* From what I've seen/done, it's basically, repel, then about 3 seconds before you can repel another enemy orb, or repel that orb again. Of course, those scary pro defenders knows the timing, and knows how/where to walk so they put the orbs in a place that backflips scorers... Defending is about timing and positioning, not about runecrafting level. I can defend the same on a level 86 runecrafting account, and on an account with 52 runecrafting. -Wants to def even more now- And defending is ftw holding duos to 30s, and 20s. Holding full stacks to 30s  weeee Def is ftw...and I understand the timing concept and stuff... But repeatedly clicking to repel an orb (even after I haven't repelled any orbs so far that round), shouldn't I eventually hit the "right timing" somewhere in all those clicks? -
I agree with the mass amount of people that believe mage (f2p and p2p) needs an overhaul. I'm 91 magic, almost 92, and if I were to split myself up into two avatars, my melee self would destroy my mage self, even though my melee stats are weak. And once I get 99, that is still what will happen. My max hit will always be 16 with mage. P2P also needs an overhaul. The max hit is like 29 or something? Yes you get things to hold your opponent, freeze, reduce stats somewhat, but how does that help defend against a spec or something?

No wonder even you can understand just how hate-able you are. F2P should be happy they are playing for free? F2P is not some gift, F2P is a game. P2P is an expansion. As Sees said, the F2P version of runescape is not simply a demo of the game. And that is exactly why F2P should still get some attention once in a while. You're just another imbecile who gives members a bad name. You think that because you pay for it, anyone who doesn't is below your standard. Grow up and see F2P for what it is and should be, not what you want it to be.

Anyway to bring back smithing? or is it dead?
Cpchris replied to darkdoug's topic in General Discussion
ya...but for a f2p player smithing either takes alot of patience to mine your own ores, or an insane amount of money...neither of which most f2p players have exactly...getting the money and buying the required items takes long enough. I've been training smithing for 6 months...if I had to take the time to buy my own ores, it would take me years. -
Some achievement capes not that "special" anymore.
Cpchris replied to Lap's topic in General Discussion
I want 99 smithing cause I found out how much I like it... And if I really didn't like smithing, I wouldn't train it for 6 months and counting just to get the skillcape...plus pure f2p...no possibility of skill cape :c I agree though, too many people want 99s for the cape. Which shows on the hi-scores when you get to 99, then jump up rank in the hi-scores when you get like 200k more xp after that... Although I guess a lot of people stopped training afterwards anyways, regardless of skillcapes...still they made a large impact... -
Skillcapes - Advantageous or Disadvantageous?
Cpchris replied to quelmotz's topic in General Discussion
I decided to go for 99 smithing just because I found out I liked it (although originally back 3 years, I always thought it would be my lowest skill...surprise surprise...)...Yes I want the skill cape, but no, that's not why I'm going for the 99...(Being a pure f2per, and having seen Mod MMG personally say there are no longer intentions for skill capes becoming f2p have ruined that part of it for me, but I'm still going away at Smithing anyways...)... Also, I'd love 200m xp in Smithing, but...pure f2p, that's basically impossible...or at least improbable... I guess you could say I'm undecided. I do sort of hate how skill capes have been the inspiration for 99s...even today I saw someone saying "____ Skill Cape costs ____m" and not the actual 99k cost of it. They don't even see it as a skill, they see it only as the skill cape...but I suppose you can't really argue it any other way...some people want the 99, some want the skillcape... -
Personally, I just think F2P deserve more. As we say, we have to work a ton harder (I have no problem with that, p2p pays to make it easier), but should showing off a 99 really be decided by who pays and who doesn't? Something like that shouldn't be P2P only. I'm not going for my 99s for the cape, but I'd like the cape to show off. Mems get all this attention "wow, 99 ____!!!" and f2pers can't show this off even thought it's 4x harder to get a 99. Of course, we now know that this won't be happening, as MMG has said they will keep skill capes f2p. I also don't care if we get mem skills. I'm fine with what we have now. I'm really not asking for anything else mems (quests, skills, items, areas, monsters) to become f2p atm other than skill capes. Also, I thought the forums were originally f2p, then made strictly p2p? Maybe I'm wrong, it would have been several years ago.
