I could care less about how I'm supposed to say it.

I'm surprised more people haven't payed attention to this. Willows are actually more expensive to train because with the "extra" 40 hours from burning maples, you could make a lot more than 2m. With the (pretty conservative) assumption of 300k an hour, player y will make 12m in that 40 hours, with a profit of 8.93m. That brings the cost of willows up from 1.15m to 13.15m which equates to 91gp each log. So, really, if player y trains with willows, it's about 3x the cost and 1.5x the time. That hardly seems desirable.

Now I could be wrong, but isn't LSP Gained = Drop Value / # of people? Therefor it would seem the folks in masses would recieve significantly smaller LSP value than those on "normal" sized teams? Surprisingly no. You get the same drop value in any sized team. Even if the drop value was divided, a larger team would be able to farm more LSP. Look at W6 bandos. The boss drops in mere seconds, and respawns very quickly. By the time a "normal" team killed one, the mass would have killed 2-4. The drop value is the same, but not the LSP each player is given. Say both teams get a hilt on their first drop. The mass (20 people let's say) gets a little over 1m LSP each, but the small team (say 4 people) gets 5m LSP each. That means that the mass has to get 4 more hilts to just be even with the regular team. So, unless the total value in a mass is 5x that of the regular trip, it's better to farm LSP at regular trips.

Actually f2p generates more than 280K a year in adverts so they do support the game just not out of there own pocket and JAGEX has said f2p are getting something for getting a 99 just not a skillcape. There is graph somewere showing that f2p generated 7% of income for JAGEX which means that if JAGEX earns £4 million a year then 7% is about 280k, I think. (maths was never my strong point :( ) http://www.mechscapeworld.com/images/re ... ncome2.jpg While it's true that the ads do generate revenue, it barely pays for the cost of f2p, so f2p is pretty self-sufficient. They aren't really increasing Jagex's net income, but they're not really decreasing it either.

Dragon KiteShield vs DFS - Do we need it at all?

It doesn't, but the visage does. Or, they could have simply required all three to create the DFS. Meh, no use really arguing about it, they won't change it. -

Honestly, your argument could be used for any update. Just because "only" 21% of players will use it, doesn't mean it's useless. About how many people do you think actually use pvp (not counting 76k'ers)? How about clan wars? Chompy hunting? Most content that's released probably isn't used by the majority of the population, but since there's so much content, it really doesn't matter. They might be catering to a small percentage of their players with one update, but other updates cater to a different selection. Edit: Also what Ravenkana said. Quite a few programmers were semi-raging at Jagex's stupidity in the DD topic.

Dragon KiteShield vs DFS - Do we need it at all?

I absolutly disagree. The last piece of Dragon (the claws) far surpassed other weapons in terms of KO potential. Likewise, a Dragon Pick would be not dead but rather infinitely useful! To be honest, I think claws are completely overrated. I fooled around with them for a while and most of the time I just got the person to half health with both specs. Mind you, these people had no armor or weapons, but I used a pure set and piety. On a semi-related note, I think Jagex really dropped the ball on the DFS. Had it required the dragon square rather than an anti-dragon shield, it would have breathed a whole new life in the left half and full square markets, not to mention providing further justification for the amazing stats. -
I don't remember her being so uhm, well-built when I watched the olympics. I think it's because of the picture. If it was at a bit of an angle and she had a different pose, she would probably look a lot more feminine. I wonder what the hell is wrong with the photographer who put her in that masculine pose.

Because they don't. With high school relationships, it's not a question of if it will end, but when. Of course, there are exceptions, but it holds true most of the time. It's like telling someone they'll never win the lottery. Through some dumb luck it can happen, but the probability it will is nearly 0.

If they lowered the price of shards, all that would happen is player x's shard pile would increase. Remember when they lowered the price from 50 to 25? Everyone who purchased any at 50 got "free" shards so they would have the same amount as if they had purchased them at 25. Besides, even though 216m isn't anything to scoff at, it's 4% of their cash pile; it's barely noticeable for any amount of wealth.

Hopefully sit and click bosses era is coming to an end  Agreed. I've become very drawn to WoW because of the strategy that's required to attack. You can't just attack then switch to another tab. If Jagex updated their combat, they could probably attract a wider range of players and maybe even win back some WoW converters.

Cities are just better imo. Where else can you live within walking distance of an adult toy store, a university, and a supermarket?

I'm sure Jagex has some way of tracking it, though it's probably not public.

My money is on a kiteshield but I realy pray for a dragon defender. Short sword, well I'm not sure about this, if they make it its most likely just to 'finish' the dragon weapon set. But I doubt we will get a short sword anytime soon and think we will get the warhammer or even the crossbow before. I never understand why people say they should just "finish" the dragon set. It's gotten to the point where it isn't even a status symbol; it's really only worn by people who enjoy the outfit. I can't remember the last time I saw someone actually using dragon armor in combat. Since there's dozens of better and cheaper alternatives, they should just abandon dragon armor; everyone else has. (unless they opened it up to f2p, then it's a whole different story) [/hide] Well, we have a complete set of Bronze through Rune, so why shouldn't dragon be complete too? It's seems logical that one day it will be completed . Anyway, what I think would be really nice is if they added some new weapons to the standard set, like morningstars or flails or something (thats just an example and yes, I know we have two different flails already in game). And yes, warhammer would be awsome. But I can also see a shortsword with a very fast, dagger like special having a use too. It shouldn't be completed. If a new level 15 armor was released in pieces (chain, skirt, legs, etc) I'm sure tons of people would be very annoyed that Jagex is even bothering to create the armor when they could be creating content that people would actually use. Dragon is in that very situation. At one point, it was the best armor in the game, but that was a long time ago. Other and better armor is cheaper and more readily available. There's no point to finishing it, it would just be unused content, and I think RuneScape has enough of that.

Ha, friends ftw. That's the only reason I have my cape. After like 5 (failed) attempts I decided to let a pro kill jad. :P -

I used to always scan my files after I downloaded them, but I've pretty much stopped that since I got a Demonoid invite. Guess I shouldn't have. The Sunbelt AV is only a trial, so I ran a search and there was a removal tool on Microsoft's website, but IE crashed while it was running. -.- I'm gonna try it again today in safe mode, but if it doesn't work I'll just download the trial.

Thanks for that link and I didn't even think about just searching on Google lol. #-o
