Best post here, I only do skills I enjoy or are fast enough that it doesn't really matter like, prayer/herblore. I also don't understand why people force themselves to be bored, going for all 99s. I understand if you like repetition, but when people complain about how boring it is, why do they make themselves bored in their free time? Runescape is meant for entertainment, it shouldn't cover your feeling of accomplishment. That is what real life is for. You also don't need to be maxed stats to have fun, maybe to do nex, but if youre playing RS for bossing, I'd suggest a different game. I just think if people took a step back, and had fun, didn't play rs to pass the time, or to have self gratification, it would be a much better game community wise. In other words people should make RS more like a hobby rather than a timekiller. I hear people say, I only play rs because I have nothing better/else to do. I don't hear people say, I only play instruments/sports/games/collect stuff because they have nothing else to do, but because they enjoy it.

Wow I barely went up any ranks, and went down in rc and stayed the same in dung. Nice bans, now all those bots are going to say they did everything legit or they'd get banned. When bots are back up, people won't be afraid to use them, because Jagex won't punish you at all. If they care about money just roll them back.

The 2% that survive will be auto clickers and pascal based bots. However they're hugely unreliable and high ban rates, reflection and injection actually deal with the java code.

^ Yours are just fine, it's hard to notice them with the hide tags though. Like I didn't realize you were doing top 15 updates until your 2nd one. I just use the first page for the top 15 updates now though.

Well it's not to hard, the only thing that would prevent hardcore playing is a job. I don't have a job, and full time college is 15 credits which is probably average 3-5hrs/day. I tend to sleep for 8-10 hours, so gives me 9 hours of free time. Now you take away school and you have 15hrs of free time, and some people only need 4-6hrs of sleep. I personally probably play RS average 4-6 hrs a day, and even more on the weekends, but I live by do what makes you happy, as long as its not harming others. I don't wanna turn out like my step dad, who is angry 24/7 because he hates his job. I'll admit though, its not the best ideal to live by, eventually I'll need to get a job (already owe $30,000 in student loans.) Pretty much though, its easy to have free time if you remove either school or job. If you have both, RS will probably just become a weekend thing. I suppose all of that is correct, just reading Elias, and S U O M I's interviews, they seem like they don't have much to worry about, and Elias describing all these cross country trips. I suppose its just an interview. Their families seem nice too, or very lenient. Ik my parents would've never let me get away with 20hr days.

He was rank 1 for awhile overall and xp, and also the first to 3b xp. Although tbh I have a theory a lot of the top players come from wealthy families, they're all able to attend runefest, play rs for 10hrs+ and still have the cash to live off of. Lots of them have crazy comp set ups 2, like dual screens in stuff. Unless they RWT or have money trees, I think they're coming from wealthy families.

S U O M I, do you actually keep your rares, because its just a paper hat, I don't see why you should be asking for donations, before exhausting your own bank. I understand needing like the 10b or however it much it is, but idk imo sounds greedy to ask for so much, yet hold onto a few rares you don't plan on selling.

Ok, I'm not sure if this was a huge joke, but is there actually kids in China who are forced to play rs all day, for really low wages? I mean technically they would be legitimate players, so Jagex would have to ban them for RWT, and not botting. Haha idk if the whole Chinese gold farming thing was serious though.

He is xp wasting, but also you have to look at peoples goals, he might have a goal of all 200m, but it's not his priority, and ik some people including myself, would go insane trying to get 200m Smithing/Mining/Magic, from LRC, I maybe wrong but I think S U O M I, is the only person ever to achieve that. That right there is dedication imo. So ye Tezz maybe xp wasting, but when you think about it, for him personally it might be better, because why train by a method that'll take 6 months or more, and be miserable for 6 months, because you don't enjoy that method? Everyone should realize that Runescape is supposed to be entertainment or something to pass the time, not a lifestyle or job. ^Well one of the RSOF forum posts said they were currently writing the code for the update, I'll see if I can locate it, I think it's the same thread where they state they'll ban injection bots too. Between the frost dragon update and now, a light bulb could've went off in someone's head, or maybe they did the frost dragon update as a filler from then till now, plus frost dragons were already to easy to kill. It does seem like a waste of develop time though, if they're going to have an update that will ban 98% of bots, including frost ones. 15-16-791-63289799

lol Maybe botters will go back to SCAR, but I'm sure thats easier to track than reflection and injection, and probably isn't as nearly as efficient. Anyways I see these as outcomes. 1) Jagex stops botting. 2) Jagex doesn't stop botting. 3) Jagex sells gold for 10-20cents/mil. That would stop goldfarming bots lol, or make it way less desirable to goldfarm. 4) Jagex rollsback millions of accounts, and charge them 25$ to get their accs back, about 3-5months of mem right there. Crazy marketing ploy right there. Also, would be cool if Jagex removed the dice bag, or made it so dice can only be used in alkarid. But like what some people been saying, preventing botting will help a rebuild some of the community, but... there's still a lot left to be done. I mean there's the whole you need to be 138 maxed everything attitude to have fun in runescape, or how dare you do something inefficient, or you got all those people who afk play, why even play Rs if you're going to glance at it 1-3 times a minute. I just hope all those cocky 138 Pvm bossers that botted their levels get banned. Every1 has their annoyance in RS, and for me those players are the worst. Ohye there's the whole Rs is doomed in 2 years attitude also, or Runescape is becoming too easy. I think that's why majority of the top players quit. Although, tbh time does play a major factor in achievements, I mean in 3-5 years (I'd say thats the average for most "legit" players, from personal experience), people are going to be getting 99s whether skills are getting easier or not.

Who do you think will be first to 14/15 etc 200m skills? S U O M I is currently 17m to 200m herb #12, and 10m to 200m slayer #13. Tezz is already at 13 200ms and 36m to 200m fletching, but is currently training smithing. I'll say Tezz may be first to 14, but S U O M I will hold 15-25.

First article. I tend to stay away from the higher level communities because they think being pro at RS makes them better at life in general, not all but most. I get what you're saying though, once you get scammed you're less likely to fall for it a second time, and grinding for hours, can be compared to repetition like jobs. Sometimes though, I think people play Runescape too seriously, I've never personally skipped out on friends/family to play RS, or any game for that matter. For some reason the elitests of RS, get all the lower levels in the mindset that they need to grind for hours to be decent at RS, then those same high levels complain about how everything is so easy, and they see more and more high levels everyday. You can have fun killing players/monsters in rune/dragon instead of bandos, you might die everytime though. I guess what I'm saying is that RS should be played for entertainment, and really shouldn't be played just to fulfill sense of accomplishment. The second article, I agree that most games are more complex and require more skill than RS, but like a person said above comparing games that take skill vs games that take time, is like comparing oranges to apples. I do agree that the RNG is a downside to Rs, and I think PvP in Rs should be more about skill, rather than being rich/high level or getting lucky with claw specs.

Ability to permanently repair barrows/nex at high smithing/crafting maybe like 90 for barrows, and 96 for nex armor. Perhaps crafting could repair ahrims/akrisae/virtus/pernix/karils, and smithing all the rest. Also, for all we know Jagex already has an idea of what they want to do, and just waiting for someone to suggest what they thought of, I mean out of all the suggestions I'm sure someone would suggest what they want.

One of my friends had my password, they logged on cleaned out my bank and traded 1.8b worth of stuff, including Torva and Divine. Anyways, I was kinda mad, not too mad as seeing I went from 300m-1.8b in about 2-3 weeks worth of dicing. So for a few days I was like meh, and decided screw it, this person isn't getting away, asked for my stuff back, and no reply from the person. So I went to account help forum on the RSOF, and posted under account hijacking and also scam websites/emails. I said basically this, why would I log on using an ip, in some other country, trade my entire bank value to "person who betrayed me" account on the same ip, then log back into my usual ip range in a matter of hours. Anyways within about 4hrs some noob account gets mad at me, cuz I always have my pm to on, I look on the hiscores and the guy got banned. So I hope a few days of having 1.8b was worth getting his 138 with 20 99s banned. Apparently it was for two offences, account trading/sharing and account hijacking. Anyways, I'm still out 1.8b, and I've drastically lowered my play hours, by maybe 3x less, it's probably a good thing but I enjoyed playing a lot of RS, kinda sucks when friends are just after online gold. Sometimes I feel bad though for getting his account banned, because to steal my gold how he did it, he was probably majorly addicted to Runescape, the guy even said he would send me pics of him cutting himself to prove he didn't scam me. I just told him to go outside lol Anyways if you ever get keylogged/phished/betrayed and you know the person who did it, I'd suggest sending a report to account hijacking. If you get scammed through a trust trade then, probably not much you can do. It worked for me, you won't get your stuff back but at least the guy gets banned.

Tezz should pass Elias for rank 2 today and 3b mark. Drumgun should be the first person to get 200m in all combat level stats today. oh and Drumgun passed Elvis for rank 6 a few days ago.
