I get heated over it because PvP is a major part of my RS playstyle, and I think this (the OP's suggestion) would do the opposite of help. Your ideas decent although it would mess with PvM. It wouldnt make zerker pures overpowered because if they are in void they risk their whip. The low def of their armor and their stats balances out the power they gain so nothing is imbalanced. risking a whip isnt as much risk as you seem to think. Most zerker pures I know (actually the only one I know well is lvl 56 n00b and hes not zerker anymore), have no problem with risking a whip. It helps them more then say a range tank because their armor has low defense to begin with. Lol famous people with vids are generally rich compared to 95% of other players in their category. I don't get what your second statement is saying. Range has much less def bonus than meleers. not generally. Also most higher level pkers can make 2m+ per hour and have 100m+ banks. If your tanking right in ranged, you should have higher defense bonuses then a meleer with comparable risk. DFS+T legs+T helm+black d'hide body beats rune+whip+defender hands down. EDIT: 56 is famous? I know about him. Tanking doesn't win fights. Ko power does. High lvl pkers don't use void, they use vesta's if they want damage. and as I stated earlier ko power means nothing if your constantly eating. A mix of defense, accuracy, a KO potential would. Void is moderatly high in two of these things and low in the other. You should never be constantly eating, not even 99 range with a fast weapon like knives can make zerkers or pures constantly eat. Eventually they will hit low damage and you can take the offensive making your point obsolete. with 99 defense and max defense gear I've been combo'd to death many a time, even without specials. Low defense would only increase this chance. Sure, youll surrive the first 3 hits shark->brewing but after that? your pretty screwed. Why do you think zerkers pwn tanks? Because they take the offensive and defense is so [developmentally delayed]ed in this game it doesn't really matter if they have 45. obvious -100 low level is obvious.

you can superheat while smelting without interrupting the smelting.

I prefer to firemake in large circles, using the minimap to move, I find its more effective and consistent then "backlighting"

gold ores with goldsmithing gauntlets until you can do addy plates, then addy plates with SC hams would be the fastest.

13 Ranarr + 3 Snapdragon + 1 Torstol = 7.8 M, even at max GE prices. I get 850k+ other seeds (IE watermellon, lesser herb seeds) that probably added up to 1.5m.

See the funny thing about the "you cant wear barrows" comment is that my lack of ability to wear it does not affect my ability to form an opinion of it. In fact my account is older than barrows (by several years) so I believe that I've witnessed enough of the barrows to understand it's effectiveness.I didn't say anything about barrows to begin with that would be you forcing words into my mouth or posts as the case may be. Furthermore I did not say that the price tag was worth the shape and coloration of the avatar's pixels as provided by the dragon items. Anway back to the topic, between bandos and Dragon I would choose bandos if I wanted to mage with decent defence. And Dragon for melee or rangeing since it doesn't negatively affect either and has well rounded stats. But in the end more will choose bandos since it's more worth it's price tag. you did however, imply it.

steam/smoke runes are very fast xp. And grahking nats is ~1800 ess per hour, calc the rest your self.

this ignores the existence of the game-tick limitation of runescript as a programming language. within a game tick, what action would hold precedence? would there be an order (prayer, eating, spell etc. etc.) would it be random? why hasn't a similar GCD been applied to wielding items and "8 item switches"? i believe that is quite possibly because a GCD can't be implemented. A gcd of one action per game tick would slow down the entire game significantly, as that would be the only way to limit hotkeys!?! Hotkeys would be shortcuts for specific items/spells/prayers. What you mentioned in your post are simply hotkeys for switching menus, but you still need to manage those menus (click the contents of the menu, quickly switch to another menu, click the contents of that menu). Menu-managing is not user-friendly, and it's not difficult, its simply tedious. Again, with GCD's and limited number of hotkeys, coupled with the fact that everyone has these features available, there would be no unfair advantage in the game. And I disagree with your assumption that a GCD hasn't been implemented only because its impossible in the current game engine. Bloom lighting isn't currently implemented in the game either. Does that mean its impossible to do in the engine? Nope, because it's due to be released this year. I guarantee that Jagex will be shifting to keyboard controls in the next year or so. It's inevitable, because it allows for greater depth of gameplay, since boss fights/combat mechanics aren't limited to how well someone can manage their menus, but rather how good the player's skills and reflexes are in the actual game. The only problem is it IS impossible..Runescape runs on a tick system (one tick per .6 seconds). It would either be to slow of a cool-down to be worth it, or overpowered. It could be over done. As I said earlier, I'd like to see quick prayers, rest on/off, summoning right-click, and possibly even special attack added, but anything more would be too much.

Mage with the highest spell you can cast, pray melee vs the melee brothers, whip karil, and ahrim. Bring prayer gear, 4 prayer pots a super set and some food.

They only range if you are out of melee range otherwise they melee. And they will start a fight with range.

Sounds like that quest in the bloodmoon expansion for morrowind :P

so you can spend more money on a horribly overpriced helm and sub-par legs? exactly. subpar stuff that looks somewhat nice. Considering you can't wear barrows your opinion on the effectivness ofnthem is irrelevent. And asthetic looks vary from person to person. IMO dragon looks better with the chain and without the full helm (/old school). I've never owned any dragon besides the skirt, boots, sq and weapons however, as they don't look hood enough to warrent the price.

I'm sure the rapier lasts more then 10 hrs, there was a guy that said it degraded ~10% in 4 hrs. its 10 hours in combat, so probably around 20-30 total.
