SO?!?!? I agree, I really didn't like the "noobs wear the funnies things" post in the first place, and I find no reason to flame someone because they either dont want to take the time to get barrows gloves, or have the skill / take the time to get fire cape. Im 112 cbt, and still havnt bothered to try for fire cape. It really irks me when people rag on others for not having the best / top-line gear :P I'm not saying he has to have the "best/top line gear" but for cheaper than the cost of all the gear hes using now he could get waaaaaaay more efficient armor. Do an easy quest to get a nezzy, sell tassets for verac skirt and a barrows torso at least and buy at least an obby shield. and tbh a 129 that doesnt have at least rune gloves kinda fails tbh Again.. SO?!?! Leave the guy alone, let him play how he wants, go do your efficient [cabbage] yourself. But I am having fun when I'm efficient. I'm sorry I find Turmoiling/steel titan-ing tasks fun. I don't get why people can't understand the FUN IS SUBJECTIVE part of all of this.

This is 100% exactly the truth. Well, you'd have to boss hunt a LOT to make up for the 30 hours lost. Personally, I think it's a pretty good trade-off, but in terms of pure efficiency, it's not. I was thinking more about just buying the plain +4 str ring.

You do realize in order to get one of the MA rings, you first need to buy the initial 5m ring to imbue with the MA rank....right? I'm 99.8% sure bladewig has a Berserker(i), and probably even an Onyx(i). He's pretty much got the good gear...try not making assumptions about people, especially if they're extremely easy to prove wrong, because when you are wrong, it makes you sound like an ignorant [bleep]. [hide] Actually, I have a job where I purposely come 20 minutes early, because it saves me 30+ minutes later. And you know what? I LOVE MY JOB. There is a mathematical, scientific, testable, and thus provable BEST way to do many things, including training skills. Well people ask for advice, they normally want the best/fastest/most gp/hr way. EG, if I ask about the best way to train mining @ 80 mining, I would expect answers talking about granite (Most xp/hr) and C Gold (AFK, profit, and still fast). I would NOT expect advice about mining copper, or iron. (Unless F2P). If I asked about best herb to grow, I would expect people to take into advice average profit per seed, and profit per run, as well as xp. I wouldn't expect answers based on feelings (Don't grow snapdragons, they may be more profit, but the seeds cost too much). Fun, however, is another matter. That is not only highly subjective, but also what a person considers fun varies over time. I used to love mining. Now I rarely train it. Advice shouldn't be based only on what an individual considers "fun", although that can be a factor. In my case, enjoyment, and AFK-ability is why I'd chose C Gold over granite. Efficiency is about getting the most out of your time. That is why I laugh when people call me a "no lifer". The majority of them, outside the trolls, are probably training quite slower then I am. Granted, I don't always enjoy being efficient in everything, hence why I still go to GWD, and play certain minigames, etc. But remember, whilst you are killing specters without a cannon, tanking them, I'll be finishing my task there in 20 minutes, and profiting more off the time saved then the other saved in P pots. Yet even then, that doesn't mean I'm "better". I just enjoy a different style of play. Even so, making fun of one who is efficient because of whatever you think about them, really makes no sense. Our advice is better (normally) then those who only factor in "fun" or what they THINK is a good way to train, and we achieve more. Its how we enjoy to play. But its still a game. Play how you WANT, but if you ask, we'll tell you the EFFICIENT way, and you make up your own mind if you enjoy it. As my nooby friend ( :D ) above me said, posting on TIF isn't helping us much on RS, but I personally not only enjoy it, but I enjoy helping others achieving their real potential. I agree with the first part, arrows are so weak in dung that it's hard to see a difference. And your second part is interesting, because in 117 the teams I've been on we kill the mage first, archer second, and warrior last haha. Interesting, most of the time the team I go with kills the ranger first, since he's the one dealing damage to us (we're praying mage, and I'm entangling the warrior) It might also depend on the armor you wear. I could see merit in wear say full megaleather, and praying range, then killing the mage first since he'd the one hurting you. Guess the strategy just varies a bit from team to team :rolleyes:

Nobody really "forces" anyone to do anything in this game. However, watch the pictures and help & advice threads for awhile and you will constantly see people who endorse "efficiency" hound people for not doing something "x" way because it's inefficient. Its almost every week we have a new thread on this forum saying 1000 reasons why x is better than y. It may be generalizing on elitism, nor am I saying efficiency is "bad", but I don't see people on the opposite end of the spectrum making posts like that towards people who are efficient. Efficiency is just like religion. Everyone thinks they have the best view on it, everyone else who has opposite views is wrong, and anyone who tells you what to think is wrong. That's because people that post in Help and Advice are looking for those kind of answers..... :wall:

I have bloods bound, and the people I dung with all the time have arrows bound. I'm the ONLY one in the team that can effectively take out high level warriors. As for ranging, I simply pick up all the gorg/prom arrows that drop through the dungeon, since no one else needs them. I only ever range bosses, so if worse comes to worse, all I need to do is find 1 or 2 Gorg/katag rocks to make enough arrows for one boss. Takes like...2 minutes to do. Less if you just buy the logs/ore, which I easily have enough money to do by the end. My last 3 dungeons I've ended with about 1.1m in cash. If you can make bloods yourself, sure, bind arrows, because they ultimately take longer to make, but if you can't make your own bloods, I vote for binding them. It's sometimes the BEST option for bosses, and great for high level warriors/demons/brutes(if you don't have a stab weapon) during dungeons. I actually tend to disagree with this...the difference between arrow strength in dungeoneering is very low. I also find magic to make more of an impact on bosses it's good for, then range does. The trio is a good example for this.. Range is helpfull for the trio against the mage, but most teams I've been on, the mage is the last one that they kill, and even the highest level Trio mage won't last long against a 5 man with spears/2h's. The Warriors on the other hand, has high defence, and I've been on teams where I was literally the ONLY one to deal damage to it, because no one else was able to hit with melee. I do plenty of damage with range just using the gorg/prom arrows I get from drops here and there, and I can just make my own gorg arrows as well if needed. Magic is also more usefull during the dungeon, considering the only things that range is best on, have low defence anyways (like forgotten mages). Looking at your stats, you certainly have no trouble making your own bloods, so I'd say sagg arrows are easily the best ammo bind for you. If I ever get around to getting 77 Runecrafting, I'll replace my bloods with Sag arrows the second I get them. But for those that can't make bloods, I'd definitely lean more towards blood runes

When on the internet, it's hardly a fail when you don't sense sarcasm, because all you have to go by is text. I didn't read it as sarcasm, I read it as a casual slayer telling us it's more fun to do it casually.

I hope they'll be releasing 95, 97 and 99 slayer req's to complete the skill. Problem is that no other skill has requirements close to that high. It seems to me like they would raise high-level content in other skills before giving more to slayer. Not that I don't love the idea of unattainable (to me) slayer stuff. herblore smitihng runecrafting (multiple runes) magic prayer summoning construction I think slayer will fit in just fine

For training, easily rapier (which this thread has stated many times :rolleyes: )

I disagree, I find it more fun to use extremes and turmoil, and hit constant high numbers. Just because you don't find it fun, doesn't mean others don't. FUN IS SUBJECTIVE!!!!

There's a difference between real life situations and an online role playing game. Also, factory jobs suck, aren't generally the safest job, and can sometimes lead to future health issues. How's that for efficient, medical bills ftw?

Usually when people ask for Help and Advice, they're looking for the efficient way of doing it, you shouldn't need to ask for help on something fun #-o

Try not to false report too much, you can actually get in trouble for it. Ignore list would have been better for this situation
