SkillCapes - Overrated?
[hide] Oh, I loved that fletching cape, and still like it. To me, people wearing a skillcape aren't half as pretentious as people who go around sayingthey are "Pure f2p" or that they started in classic, or those who said BEW cheapened their accomplishments (Although these people simply didn't want to get their highscores spots taken). All that elitism, that's part of RS. Skillcapes look pretty nice and add some diversity to RS. I don't see why people wearing them should bother you. Because no matter how much people lie about why they're wearing them, it's to act better, to make people jealous, and to incite negative feelings. Especially the harder to get 99's capes. Slayer, Farming (not hard but people think it is), Runecrafting, Herblore etc. Almost nobody wears it exclusively because they're proud of their accomplishment. That feeling goes away in a few days, I know because I've been there 4 times. I'm prepared to be assaulted and flamed. I could honestly give a [cabbage] if others like my slayer cape, I wear it because I love Slayer, and what better way to show that by wearing the cape? if you don't care: why do you want to show it so badly? Because "I" like it. The cape is for me to enjoy, not you. Why not just keep training Slayer and wear a Fire Cape? [/hide] Because I enjoy doing other things. What are you trying to prove? I'm sorry if I enjoy wearing the skill cape that resembles my favorite skill. I don't see why anyone else should care.

Becoming a Pro Slayer.
The only thing I never did in terms of power slaying was use a cannon. I didn't want slayer to be a profitless powerlevel for me. If you want xp, definitely use a cannon, if you want money, hold off on the cannon a bit (I'd still cannon things like Bloodvelds and dags though, just because the xp is too good to pass up for those :P) I would definitely recommend using piety/turmoil on tasks though, and when ever possible, use your best combat familiar to help you kill monsters. Use Super pots on every task, and once you get them, extreme pots Buy armor sets like Verac, karil, pros, and eventually bandos. Go for the Soul Wars cape ASAP if you don't already have one. Fury, berserker ring, full slayer helm, rune defender (Never DFS, it's only good for one monster) pretty much it's all been covered.

how to kill them Kurask
You can range them, very easily actually. There're very large monsters, and are extremely easy to safe spot them just by standing at the entrance to their room. Use broad bolts as your ammo.

Dungeoneering: Bindery
You'd be better off binding a binding legs over the shield....you can use ANY shield for tank, so you'd just buy a Novite shield from the shop at the start Also factoring in the fact that most of the things that see you either mage or melee, you'd be better off with a Sag body, since meleers will only get one shot at you as you run through, you could just protect from range, and the Body would protect you from mages. I'm pretty sure at this point, a tanks binds would be.. Shadow Silk hood Tyrannoleather body (since sag isn't avaliable yet) Primal B axe Not sure for 4th bind I loled at the above posts. The best defence possible is binding melee armour and protecting from mage. Not only does a leatherbody lower your accuracy, it offers less defence against mage+melee combined than melee armour offers against melee+range combined. Also, primal longsword is rather useless as stab/slash is not a good style combo. Slash/Crush is the ideal - prom/primal 2h if not using a shield, primal battleaxe if you are. Ideal keying binds would be: Primal Battleaxe Hood 100: Promethium/Primal platebody 120: Primal legs With promethium plate and primal legs, you can get over 400 range defence and comparable melee defence. Another misconception I've seen is that "it only takes one magic-based creature to make hood useless" First, here's a list of at least partially magic-based monsters: -Forgotten Mage -Necromancer -Skeleton Mage -Mysterious Shade -Animated Book -Lesser Demon -Greater Demon -Black Demon -Dragons Only 2 of these monsters can remove your hood. They are fairly common, but do not permeate the entire dungeon as people seem to think. Praying mage through the rest offers 100% protection. Also, the spell wears off quite quickly, so you will only run through a couple more rooms before you get cloaking back. I encourage every hood naysayer to try one out. In all, the hood prevents more damage than any other piece of armour. I think you're underestimating the accuracy of melee/range monsters while wearing melee armor, and over exaggerating the accuracy of magic monsters while wearing range armor. Have you tried running through a room with a tyranno body, and praying range? You're defense against melee monsters is rather irrelevant since they should only be getting one shot on you at the very most. And what was the point of bringing up the hood/primal long? I already said hood should be second bind, and nowhere did I mention the Longsword. It's not really the lack of monsters that remove your hood, more so the lack of monsters it actually protects from in the higher floors (and the addition of Necromancers being able to remove it) Edit: NVM, the longsword comment was directed at the other guy

Rapier= best ingame Weapon Dclaws=best spec Ee=uhm.. soulsplit ftw? godsword=useless ss=useless.. rapier ftw? :shame: You basically repeated what he said, except you ignored the Non-Degrading part. Just because you can soul split, doesn't change the fact that the EEE has the best healing spec.

Until you get a Chaotic Rapier, whip is the best overall weapon. Claws have been the best overall spec weapon since their release. You've honestly only pointed out things everyone already knew about here.

Macroing & Bots :'(
[hide] You're late. Been intentionally avoiding this thread, i stumbled on it though and that spurred my reply So you decide to make a spam post on a thread that has had people discussing on it for weeks? ah cause the wanna be mod post was so much better? But yes I thought my disdain for the OP and the topic was worthy of being written unlike a post that is emulating a mod which has no place anywhere  If I was a wannabe mod, I wouldn't have posted it at all, since it's technically spam. I still fail to see how pointing out your dislike for the poster is worth posting over me pointing out how unnecessary it is for you to do so. Your not a mod its not your job therefor it is spam. However i dont think it would be considered spam to say that this topic is too overplayed. Theres several of these bot topics on this forum and also another one on the rants forum (and im sure even more on help and advice and otherwise) Thats my point if you still think its spam i guess i cant argue anymore but hopefully this will shed some light on my logic [/hide] I was talking about my post being spam

Runescape FPS
I run a Dell laptop Sutdio 1737 model, Intel® Core, 2 duo CPU. T6500, 2.10GHz it has 4GB memory, on a 64-bit operating system.

Runescape FPS
I was wondering what most people's FPS are when they're playing RS, because I feel as though mine is abnormally low. Unless I play in Safe/Software mode, I can't seem to get my FPS any higher then around 13, which appears as being red...which I assume is supposedly bad. If mine is low, what can I do increase my FPS but still be able to play in full Re-sizable.

Slayer Help
I guess I'll be the only realistic one here, and NOT assume this guy has a ton of money saved up.... Some low cost goals you should save for first include... Black mask, Focus sight, Hexcrest Rune defender Dragon Boots Some Items to work for include Karils ZSpear Berserker ring Fury Piety Soul Wars cape Some Dream items (i guess you could call it), would be items like.. Bandos Chest Bandos Tassets Chaotic Rapier Extreme Potions (85+ herblore) Berserker(i) Turmoil/Soul split (try get turmoil in one go, Soul Split isn't worth it without Turmoil with it) DO SMOKING KILLS AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Do not get pulled into buying a DFS....ever...there is only one thing in the game that DFS is good for, and you probably wouldn't even want to fight them at your levels. Until you get a bunyip, using Guthans is not unheard of, before I could use a bunyip, I would always slay in a Guthan body/Skirt, and have the helm and spear in my inventory to use when I got low HP. Once you can use a bunyip though, you can sell your guthans, and go for a more usefull armor set, such as Veracs for prayer bonus. At your level, chaeldar would be a decent slayer master, don't use anyone lower then Vanaka.

Dungeoneering: Bindery
I wonder how well a set like tyranno would do against the Trio's mage. Would it be best to wear full melee gear and pray mage, or full range gear and pray range? (this is assuming you're entangling the melee of the trio.) Assuming you do it efficiently, preparing for the occult bosses is amazing to do.

My first Waterfeind task
My point was there was actually a reason for him considering it....

My first Waterfeind task
Dwarven helm gives +6 crush, so I wouldn't call it silly. But yes, Black mask/slayer helm is always the best option while slaying. Your setup looks fine, if you can, try upgrading to karils. If you can summon one, use a bunyip with Swallow whole scrolls. If you can't use a bunyip, pray range the whole time, if you can use one, praying may not be necessary.

Need Jad advice
At your stats, there should be no reason to fear the Tok-xils, unless you're wearing full magic gear. Just wear range tank gear focusing more on range defense, and you should have almost no trouble with the rangers.

How Do You Post?
I like to add small points to what people have already said, or answer questions that are just simple a quick, that don't require much thought other than going into personal experience (like armor setups for slayer)
