  1. back in my day, there was no bank in Lumbridge Back in my day, you had to spend 10 minutes refreshing the world list to get into world 2 Back in my day, D meds were the best drop from kbd, and were worth 1m, which was good money. Lol, I remember when they were just putting sounds into Low detail, it was awsome :P
  2. [hide] Thought for the attack bonus. But i have realized it's not a good choice. But i wish your first post in this topic was about the topic  I think the point was, since you shouldn't be using the defender anyway, your point about using the rapier together with the defender is pointless since it is not practical anyway. Therefore, right away we can say "no" to your immediate question, since the defender is really never worth using. But on the larger question of whether the rapier or the other weapons are better, the rapier really isn't outstanding. Good speed, yes, but the Spear isn't much slower and is far more effective. You can trade in even more speed for a 2H sword, which absolutely rips apart monsters the rapier couldn't touch, aided further by the fact that you can use crush AND slash attacks with the Berserker Class Ring (I believe the Rapier can only slash aggressively, not stab, and it certainly can't crush, which is an extremely important battle style to have). This brings up another point, the rapier doesn't have crush. It trades that instead for stab, which is more or less useless. Crush helps enormously on skeletons, forgotten warriors, and earth warriors. Stab helps on what? Giants? They have pathetic defense as it is. Dragons? They're too rare to really be concerned about, and if your team piles it with slash attacks, it won't present much of a challenge. So much of Dungeoneering is focused on hitting hard on your opponent's weak spot. Thus, the rapier is pretty impractical, despite its speed. Facts, my dear friend, facts. Not a strong point of yours....but i'm not taking it much further this time. Firstly, we have heard the speed debate lots on the CLS vs. CR thread, and if you look at the thread more closely, anyone who says that the speed of weapons ''isn't much slower'' or ''is barely noticeable'' is extremely ignorant. 25% speed over spear and 50% speed over 2h is more than significant. Secondly, rapier has the use of ALL the ring of kinship customizations, being able to use tactician on stab, berserker on STAB AND SLASH and tank with a shield. Downplaying stab as much as you did is also funny, because actually, stab is the attack most used on a spear, which used to be the best weapon before ring customizations. You also forget that everyone and their dog has a 2h or a battleaxe bound so most teams are weak to the stab aspect of dungeons anyway, while rapier may be weak against higher def or armored monsters, it is ton's better on a number of other monsters- if high level monos were done with rapiers only, they would be a breeze. As i said, as an overall weapon and no stat boosts, rapier is not a better overall weapon than the 2h, but because of what most people have bound, it is very useful to have one or two on your team. [/hide] this....now you need to decide...do you want to be that One or two on the team?
  3. Does anyone else get as annoyed as I do with how much he uses this word?
  4. The rapiers in dungoeneering actually have pretty bad stats, and are really only good to use on monster that have extremely low defense (shades, ghosts), or things that are significately weak to stab (rangers, guard dogs, icefiends) It's good situationally, but not as a main bind item.
  5. Where could I ask someone for one? I can't talk ingame, or see what other people say. And I have no real life friends with 83 smithing. You have to get it from Rift-Splitter, or get your smithing up. Have fun.
  6. Training Slayer gives more Total XP then powertraining assuming you do it right, and get average tasks. (not if your mast assigns you Steel/iron dragons every time :P) I've also personally hated camping at just one kind of monster for training, so I loved slayer for it's variety, it never got boring to me. Sometimes I'll still do a few slayer tasks for fun.
  7. [hide] Never tried WoW's pvp myself, but runescape requires reflexes to respond to KO's as well. Also i have no idae what you mean by rotation based skill, but if you mean something like spamming your numberpad that is not skill. Rotations = spell rotation. WoW combat isn't spamming, it's knowing exactly when to pop certain spells, dealing with several different cooldowns, responding to the other player within a split second, dealing with and using crowd controls, etc. RS kids suck at WoW because the only skills they have are clicking and patience. When they play a game that actually requires reflexes and skill they call it a bad game. It's cute. (P.S. Runescape doesn't require real reflexes, your actions don't occur in real time) [/hide] I didn't suck at Wow when I tried it  , I'm also quiet good at FPS (which require reflexes) games on the PC :P Overall though, i agree, most people trash WoW (and other MMO's) without knowing anything about it. It made me go #-o when he said the Grindfest thing as well
  8. cheap easy lots of things to do that aren't combat and I'm already far in this game, and don't feel like becoming familiar with another MMO
  9. A player mod didn't mute him, a random player reported him, and Jagex muted him... Why do some people think that when they get muted, and Player mod did it?
  10. [hide] What did you expect? You made two pretty obvious mistakes: 1) Listened to a babbling simpleton for 15 minutes 2) Used the words 'give me' and 'password' in the same sentence If you had a shred of common sense, you would have placed the person on your ignore list, reported him, and gotten on with your life. Why anyone would endure 15 minutes of idiocy is beyond me. And what makes you think Jagex can understand sarcasm? This "individual" wasn't out for your account; he was out to get you banned, and he almost succeeded. You should be glad that Jagex is so desperate for your $5 a month that they only muted you. I feel like your proving my point. Here, let me make a list like you did: 1) Putting someone on ignore and then reporting them is just not me. I'm not out to get anybody banned. People can be annoying and break rules, but I'm not the type of person to go out of my way to try to get someone banned. 2) The guy saying this was level 131. I believe his soul intention was to get himself banned, and it probably wasn't even the real person's character. 3) Is Jagex made up of a bunch of robots? If they have the whole conversation on file, do they not have the ability as human beings to assess what is happening, and use common sense? 4) If you, or Jagex, had a shred of common sense, you would have the knowledge to take what I said and realize I was simply shooing away the person bugging me. [/hide] He's right tbh...you simply could have ignored him, instead you got involved, and now you pay for it. The ignore list is a blessing, use it occasionally
  11. Rapier, but most idiots wont accept a Rapier for team because they are somehow convinced that the CLS is better. Actually CLS > Rapier at bandos, but only slightly.
  12. take an anti-fire shield, 5 mushrooms, and a spade jump into the whirlpool, go down the stairs, run south and then west through the brutal green dragons, praying mage. Run untill you see Some waterfiends and a damaged fairy ring. repair it. Run south of the fairy ring and up the stairs to get to Kuradal. It's EXTREMELY surprising you haven't been using her considering your levels.
  13. That means I'll have 96  Thanks a lot
  14. I never knew dungeoneering could actually be a fun minigame skill. wow 2 hours for a non-occult dungeon... I get annoyed if they go over 30 mins Some people like to dungeoneer as a recreation, my large dungeons rarely take less then an hour, and i love every minute of it
  15. Is that taking into consideration the xp bonus? taking the average of xp between Super > Ext, I think making.. Spec restore Sup>ext def (195) Brews Sup>ext str (177.5) Sup>ext atk (160xp) Prayer pots should yield the most xp. How much xp would I get off of this.
  16. I get 20k points, then ancient mage I keep most of my runes in my BOB so they can't get stolen ;)
  17. I know, don't mind tbh. I'm more of a DIY when it comes to herblore. All my herblore levels have come from herbs I've gotten from farming herb seeds...which I got from slayer.
  18. Not really, considering my highest xp pot is Ext def, but to make those, i'd first have to make Supers.
  19. Ok, so I have some unfinished potions sitting in my bank ready for tomorrow now, but I have no idea what the best order to make the potions in is. The potions I will be making are. 420 prayer pots 2030 saradomin brews 2390 spec restore 730 super/ext attacks 1130 super/ext str 230 super/ext def Assuming can make 2k pots an hour, what would be the most efficient order to make my potions in?
  20. Out of curiosity, why 97?
  21. I don't recall anyone doing that.
  22. why is there so much discussion about the entertainment value of bot hunting? If someone finds bot hunting fun/rewarding to themselves....then shut up, and let them do it. As for the whole Puzzle box thingy.....[bleep]ing no!!!
  23. [hide] So just make more when you need to? Don't really see how valid the point is, you'll just end up with higher xp in herblore  Because if you don't value herb xp after 99, then overloads start costing 75-100k each. Before, they are free to use if you value herb xp at between 30-35 gp/xp. After 99, at least personally, I don't value xp in most skills. In other words, it isn't logical to count overloads as BOTH costing 80k each, and 32gp/xp to make, as you are counting them twice. [/hide] Meh, I count xp all as the same regardless of what level you are, it's just the way I like to think about it. :P
  24. So just make more when you need to? Don't really see how valid the point is, you'll just end up with higher xp in herblore
