  1. String amulets all the way to 99, it will cost a little but it's really one of the most efficient methods.
  2. In case you had doubts... +1 and +1.. Unless you consider mining stars as viable.
  3. Getting a 99 for the sake of it won't be as good as just playing and getting one when you get one. Do what you enjoy, they will come with time.
  4. wow, both yall's replies requrie high levels, and very expsensive potions... maybe i wont be able to gwd. It's very competitive, or requires high stats. I suggest just training combat on a moderately profitable monster and then going boss hunting later.
  5. Yeah I'm really poor. On the yaks, do I leave the darts that the accumulator doesn't pick up? I was superheating before but it was pretty boring Leave them, no point in wasting time picking them up. You should moneymake a little then use hunter kit.
  6. With only 3m you are really limiting yourself. I suggest you moneymake a little then bronze knife yaks in void then either superheat or hunter kit to train magic. Best of luck to you.
  7. Thanks for coming through, as usual.
  8. Can anyone please provide me with the best task list if I'm slaying to maximize charms and effigies? Edit: I'm looking for a full task list of which tasks to do, which to block and which to skip.
  9. PM me and I can take you, it's really quite easy once you learn some basic lures and get some time in practicing. I think full void (elite eventually) with rune crossbow, rune bolts and a godsword would suit you nicely. Use D Claws for specs (or D hally if you wellfare). Use a tort then a titan. Swap weapons and helms. Once you get good at prayer swapping you won't need much food at all. Bring a defender for when you darklight the TDS. Edit: I can't take you now but honestly, later I would love to. Edit2: It can take hundreds of kills before you get your first pair of claws, do now invest into this if you don't plan on sticking it out.
  10. At his levels a fury will be the biggest boost he can get with 15m, in the time he saves by getting one, he would be able to make far more then 15m. And he doesn't need to give up the teleports, he can still own a few glories for that.
  11. Buy daily battlestaffs from Varrok and Lunar Isle. Have a large supply of air orbs. Make air battlestaffs and alch them. It should be pretty cheap and all it takes is a little patience. Edit: If you want a nice list of all the methods check out the Grimy sheets, here is a link to them. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhdHFDsdlxujdFVNOU52eXY5QUdKTXFOWVZfZmpDRmc&hl=en#gid=0
  12. If you don't have a Yak, TDS are better in the long term.
  13. I would make one inventory of potions. Better safe then sorry. However Quyneax is right that boosts degrade ever minute so if you can do more in that time then all the more power to you. Also, use the soul wars bank because it is a random free zone.
  14. No, but it is still an amazing investment. The time saved by using it will be more then worth the money lost if you ever resell it. I say this because I doubt you ever will, furies are simply amazing.
  15. 1) Yes, they are amazing everything. 2) Yes, they are too slow even with stats much higher then yours. 3) I use Elite Void, it's personal preference but I think 8+ prayer > mage defense. 4) After all of it, there are much more important things to get and that money is much better spent elsewhere. Barrows is more then sufficient for slayer. 5) Rapier > Extremes > Yak > Turmoil > Overloads, however this is very simplistic. 6) They only get really good with a Yak, but you should get a rapier anyways, it totally changes combat. I suggest get a rapier and a unicorn and start with TDS. Also, a small piece of advice, while you get your rapier make sure to farm herbs obsessively and you will come out with not only a rapier, but enough cash for extremes.
  16. If you have a good team the horn is worth it for both agility and firemaking. It actually saves time and even money (in terms of efficiency) with firemaking. Also most people consider playing BA to be more fun then running in circles or lighting 6k magic logs.
  17. Maging rex with atleast 80 magic seems a lot more reasonable. Good luck versus crashers.
  18. And then every monsterhunting team in existence requires you to have ~99 smithing to go bandos/armady/dks/nex. Think that might generate a few rants as aswell, don't you? How many NON COMBAT SKILLS should we have to max to compete with others at COMBAT. All the skills play a role in Combat, why Smithing can't? They play a very small role, like for training and they aren't untradable so they can be bought. I suggest you read this thread. http://forum.tip.it/topic/287268-skilling-and-untradeable-high-level-rewards/page__st__20__p__4721146__hl__tertiary__fromsearch__1#entry4721146 Edit: The OP is the most relevant part.
  19. And then every monsterhunting team in existence requires you to have ~99 smithing to go bandos/armady/dks/nex. Think that might generate a few rants as aswell, don't you? How many NON COMBAT SKILLS should we have to max to compete with others at COMBAT. If all non-combat skills had high level untradeables it would make the game much more interesting; adding more content, diversity and purpose to skills is never a bad thing. All non combat skills (or almost all of them) tie into combat somehow. Somebody else had an amazing couple posts about this in the 200m all skills thread. Really, the biggest complaint is that people don't want high level content because they are too lazy to get high levels. That's like saying that luxury cars shouldn't be made because you personally can't afford them.
  20. If my memory serves me, the mud staffs are the same expect for the bonuses. Go for the cheaper one.
  21. I'm not very experienced there but I was under the impression that you need much more then 80 range to do DKs.
  22. In that case chinning would still be efficient, thought getting 80 range before starting would be awesome. Full void is amazing, I personally love it, if you've been gone then there was a void quest series which will help you get on your way to full void. A deflector is a new void piece gotten from the minigame "conquest", it fills the offhand slot and replaces one other void piece allowing you to take a body for range. You will likely use your void even after you finish chinning so though it's not a great investment for chinning alone, in the long term it is amazing. All this being said, 75-80 range won't increase your earning potential much.
  23. 1) Is it effective to train ranged from 75 - 80 using chinchompas? This depends on your income, tell us what your maximum income is when moneymaking and we can tell you if chinning is efficient for you or not. 2) At these levels what is the experience rate per hour for chinning? Up to 340k exp/h at level 99. Lover levels will give less exp/h however I can't rememeber exactly how much. 3) About how many chinchompas would I need to gain these levels? At lvl 99, one can get up to 280 xp/red chin, and 360K xp/hr. At lvl n for all n > 70, one can get up to 280(n/99)^1.1 xp/red chin, and 360K(n/99)^1.1 xp/hr. For grey chinchompas, multiply the above numbers by three quarters. From there it's simple math. 4) What sort of ranged bonus would I need to be effective using chins (any equipment I should really try and get before starting)? Full void elite with deflector , archer ring, archer boots, armadyl top, fury. 5) At level 70 prayer how many prayer pots would I be using and what sort of prayer bonus would I want? Fury and full void elite will cover you nicely. The prayer potions are cheap compared to the chins so you max your range bonus over your prayer bonus. Also, read this, it covers chinning nicely. http://forum.tip.it/topic/222890-melee-ranging-and-two-slight-diversions/
  24. You could 2.5 brid DKS, you could Corp, you could do frost dragons. Frost dragons would be the best cash from what I've heard.
  25. The very best way to get high herblore is to just make your most efficient pots (use the Grimy sheets to determine this) until you can make spec rests and super antifires. Then make around 1k super antifires for slayer and 2k or so spec rests, then I would make 1k of each extreme with 2k of extreme attack and strength. This should put you around where you need to be to stew to overloads (91+ herblore), then you just make overloads as you need them. This will give you good supplies for slayer (extreme strength and attack) as well as for boss hunting (overloads) while wasting money as little as possible. Cleaning herbs is almost never worth it, mixing your own potions can be if you have the herblore scroll. Really make sure you get that as it should save you millions and millions on the road to 99 berlore. Use boosts in order to start making the untradeable potions asap. Making every super potion will use a lot more money then making your most efficient potion, selling them, then buying ingredients for extremes. Also make sure to get the herblore scroll from dungoneering, it will save you millions on the road to 99. TL;DR Making supplies for untradeable potions will waste a lot of money. Make your most efficient potion then buy supplies for extremes.
