  1. It's been referred to in the past by many JMods, I can't remember when it was first mentioned but probably in some Q&A. It's sort of been common understanding that there IS a smithing rework/update/SOMETHING coming SOMETIME but... alas... :( Early in 2010 they mentioned in a Q&A session that there would be a smithing update before the end of 2010. There wasn't so now we are all anticipating one to come soon. Edit: Unless by smithing update they meant dungoneering, that would be typical Jagex, "Hey guys you can now smith armor in dungeons herp derp."
  2. Godsword sucks, try 60 for a claws hybrid, you can always upgrade to chaotics if you want, but you can't downgrade.
  3. Nice articles @ An Urn-est Attempt- I do think the urns make more of a difference then people give them credit for, especially if used over the long term. They are well balanced and though they don't revolutionize anything, they are a nice boost that should become commonly used. I'm guessing this was the intent behind them. Players can already powertrain through the use of mousekeys to drop quickly, if Jagex wanted to baby them along like this they would add a "drop all" option to items. They have stated their reasons for not doing this, however at the moment I can't remember them. I can't wait for the smithing update either, I stopped selling the ores and bars that accumulate in my bank, hope to have a decent stockpile by then. @ Dying Content- Charm spirit hunting was intended to be niche, I doubt it was ever meant to become the new best way to train summoning. However if you are a summoning tank or a skiller it could be a fun way to train a little. It is a little ridiculous to expect every update to be groundbreaking. This can apply to most skilling updates that come along, and most quests. They add depth to the game, even if everyone doesn't use them. They let someone who has been camping waterfeinds for a week to take a break and collect less charms in a different way to mix it up. Options are valuable even if most people don't choose them all the time because they give variety to the game as a whole. I think the best example going against your article is Castle Wars. It has almost useless rewards, can be costly and yet is immensely enjoyable for a large number of players. It has consistently been a popular minigame for half a decade. This goes to show that it is not so much the rewards as it is the quality of content which drives players to do things. That being said, the quality of content is the reason so many minigames are empty, not the exp rates. Temple Trekking may give more rewards then Castle Wars, but the reason it is empty is because it is simply boring. Oh, and I used to fix the lights when I trained thieving there for a while, it's just not fun and not better then other fm methods so there is no reason to do it. I get the same mount of exp from an invent of magic logs with a barb horn then from ten minutes of trying to fix those stupid lamps. Edit: Also, Ivy has destroyed woodcutting as a skill. I would HATE to see other skills made to be made AFK like woodcutting. There are AFK text based MMO games for people that don't actually want to play a game. Some AFK skills are good, again, it adds variety, all AFK skills is a horrible idea.

    Flipping

Armor, weapons, raw materials. Anything that is constantly being produced and consumed. The trade volume needs to be highish. Profit margins will likely be low, however you can try to constantly sit in the GE flipping to make a lot of money.
  5. Also, goodluck finding a team with those stats. 20 people like you will be crashed by two maxed people. The very best thing you can do is stay away from Bandos until you become competitive. It's not an issue of not being able to kill the boss, it's an issue of not being able to hold a world from crashers. If you feel a driving urge to do godwars you could get a few kills at Zammy if you had a decent team (especially a tank). Oh, and really, REALLY sell the godsword. Use a whip, defender and borrow some dragons claws if you really want a spec weapon. Not only is it a bad weapon but since your prayer is so low, it's costing you effectiveness. A whip, defender and piety is far, far better then a BGS. Edit: Didn't realize you were done with this thread, if you want more info about godwars PM me and I can help you more. In game or on here.
  6. The biggest problem is most guides are out of date. But if you really want to spend hours writing one shouldn't it be on something unique that you enjoy doing? Why not have an efficient, up to date barrows guide then? I personally would love an in depth guide to zerker pures or range 2h pures, have never seen a good guide on either. I dunno if you're an expert there though.
  7. Yea, you can own more then one and still get a cannon back. It would be ridiculous if you lost 500k because you owned two. Lots of people have a spare as a placeholder, I know I do. Sy usually makes up his answers to H&A threads, don't take him too seriously.

  9. Make sure you don't have anything considered to be weapons or armor. That includes task rewards as well.
  10. Well the point is that if you do it through combat you will gain a few HP levels. I personally prefer this on my pure becuase it lowers the KO potential even if I end up a combat level higher from the HP levels. So you might gain one or two combat levels but the trade off is 10 or more HP. Your HP is low enough that mages around your level could easily combo you, so I would consider it worth a combat level or two to have 10 more HP.
  11. Best arrows, swordfish, best armor, best bow. Maybe 90 or so addy arrows. You should be risking around 70k or so, I dunno, it isn't much though. You could start PKing now but your HP level is a bit low. If you use combat to train your magic level up to one less then your range level then your combat level won't increase but you will get some more HP. This will also give you more magic defense as at your level mage > range > melee for pures. Edit: Wear this... Cowl Leather body Boots Green d hide vambs Green d hide chaps Maple shortbow Amulet of Power 90 Addy arrows Have this in your inventory... 28 swordfish or 25 swordfish and tele runes
  12. Broad bolts are still good, I suggest doing them while doing other skills. They can be combined with most other skill, that is why they are so good.
  13. Stringing jewelry is double the exp/h and costs less attention.
  14. Hati gloves will work for 800,000 exp at your level. This means that stringing jewelry is entirely within your limit. Go for it. You also will get a tiny bit of crafting exp.
  15. You want red chins for nechs, the grey ones don't give enough accuracy and miss noticeably more. Lure them with bronze knives, finish off low hp leftovers with rune xbow and broads.
  16. This, it's fast, cheap, and also give magic exp.
  17. There is no secret shortcut of a profitable, good exp, semi afk method. You either go fast and expensive or slow and cheap. Fast and expensive is better because in the time saved you can more then make your money back. Why do you dislike chinning so much? It really would be the most efficient way to train. Otherwise knife yaks or something, but that's really a waste of time.
  18. I call upon the power of Google! Almighty Google, answer the question of us mere mortals! Deliver unto us a list of high alchemy values! ... ... What is this? Google has delivered a list! All hail Google! http://runescape.salmoneus.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=236405 Oh, and I think all the onyx items are at the very top. They are 120,000 or more each.
  19. Prolly a bug, prolly won't get you banned.
  20. I do toadflax on the regular patches and snap on the trollheim patch. Scroll of life and enchanted secetures.

  23. Best is lava titan because you shouldn't be banking the gold anyways. It is best to superheat and drop the gold.
