  1. Assuming my current stats; 1. Prom 2h 2. Shadow Silk Hood 3. Blood Necklace 4. Golden precision bracelet 5. Tyranoleather body 6. Tyranoleather chaps 7. Incatators boots (spelling?) Vesus most things that use range or melee their accuracy is high enough that prom plate and legs doesn't make a huge difference. However getting entangled is really horrible so I would choose to go in anti-mage gear while maximizing my melee abillities.
  2. Not too sharp if you couldn't figure out what he meant.. But yep, EEE is great because you will want to get ovl at some point anyways but EEE is another bonus on the way. I'll be honest and say there aren't many places where is it best. That being said it does have its uses especially during skilling where you might take damage. Remember you need to make the potion in the range guild. I recommend having supplies for 100 or so extreme range pots banked, and supplies for one in your inventory. The rest fill with stewing supplies; brown spices and stews. Go to the range guild and try until you get your boost, tele to a bank, and use the logout trick to make the rest of the range potions. That will be useful in training and stuff. Edit: Just remembered, to remove the negative boosts use the leech familiar and its scrolls.
  3. If he was going to wait for the gloves, he should at least buy the supplies first as they are probably going to skyrocket if the gloves come out and work with range.
  4. Use grey chins. I forgot what the needed gp/hr needs to be to make it worth it to use red chins, but it was in the 1-2M/hr range. Which is ridiculously easy to make, red chins are more efficient in this scenario, I just gave the grey chins as well in case he's the type that will be more attracted to the cheaper methods. I don't know the costs of prayer potions or range potions, it's not like you will buy too many, you can always sell them back, also if you buy too few you can always buy more.
  5. Doing the math now.. So far a bit over 48k grey chins to 99. Or 37k red chins. Which works out to (using mid price) 10.7m using grey chins Or 21.5m using red chins Also a note, I used the numbers from his guide, but you should be able to get even better exp rates if you use new gear. This means void + deflector + arma top, soul wars cape, rigour. If you use all the best gear then you should have even better rates. Oh, and I didn't factor in costs of gear, prayer pots or ranged pots. But if you get full void, deflector, black dhide top, fury, rol, soul wars cape, snakeskin boots, the gear should be cheap. A familiar can give you up to 20k exp per trip as well. And bring a few, maybe two or three range potions or extreme range potions. Uhhh and holy wrench if you have it will save you some money on prayer potions. You will also have a highish prayer bonus, you should need less then 1k prayer potions, just sell off the ones you don't use when you're done.
  6. No, people go there because they think the drops will pay for the chins. In fact, the exp is slower so chinning ends up costing even more. Ape atoll is the very best, I strongly suggest you use it.
  7. First, start by getting void. If you haven't done the void quests then now is a good time to do them as they will give you the top and some of the points for another piece of the set. Then you can start at the level you are at with chinning, really waiting longer won't make a big difference. Use your best range boosting prayer, range/extreme range potions, void, ect and chinn under ape atoll. You will get approximately 421 exp/red chin and 316 exp/grey chin. The first part of this guide is a decent, yet outdated, guide to ape atoll chinning. It has some calcs and forumlas you can use to find out the approximate costs or number of chins you will need. http://forum.tip.it/topic/222890-melee-ranging-and-two-slight-diversions/
  8. I've been getting void armor placeholders and I can highly recommend fletching while playing. However it will be very slow magic experience and the methods that people have listed are much better. Also, you will want to only buy the bolts from the slayer masters, you will not profit nearly as much if you buy from the GE. So buy them every day for a week or so, then fletch while playing for a few days. However this is a bad idea for magic experience as the pest points give reduced magic exp compared to range or melee. If you want to mulitask pest control you can alch while doing it too, this might be better. Metal dragons might make you money, but will often lose money unless you bank the bones which can be both time consuming and tedious.
  9. Defiantly rocktail. I started cavefish at level 82 and it was much better then monkfish. First, use w77. A lot of people fish there so you won't have any trouble with the monsters. Second, terrorbird full of admiral pies. Rod + minerals in bag. Spare pouch. Five more pies in bag. Then take a bite, fish till your stats degrade, another bite, ect. At your stats these 17 pies will give 34 boosts, each enough to fish rocktails for three minutes, so your looking at a ninety minute trip there, easily.
  10. Alching is crappy exp but you could do it with no loss. Here is an alchemy spreadsheet for what profits. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhdHFDsdlxujdGlZLXBuNUhxSXJER2hWUDg2RHh0cnc&hl=en#gid=0 But really, you want to burst rock lobsters, that is the best thing I can suggest. You get fast magic exp, lots of charms and a medium cost. Those charms work out to being worth 5k each if you ever decide to train summoning so while in the short term it costs, in the long term you will be happy you did it. Or another mixed method is superheating gold with gold gauntlets. It is medium mage exp and medium cost but also brings in hefty smithing exp which is very, very nice.
  11. Excel is a good program to use
  12. Get void, use it. I guess if you aren't up for buying anything new just go with rune crossbow and whip. Use dds for specs, d hally if you can unlock it. The soul wars cape takes an hour to get, totally worth it, I strongly suggest you do. Snakeskin boots, dragon defender. Broad bolts, rol. If you aren't good at prayer swapping or luring though, then don't TDS, those are the two most essential things to be good at to do them effectively.
  13. It's faster to bank with a glory or something and use a house teletab to go back. Cheaper too.
  14. I suggest you read the postbag in the link OP posted. It proves that false. Anyways, you know more about me here, I haven't read all the Q&A sessions. Either way, speculation is usually pretty baseless. A lot is said in the sessions that doesn't ever happen or is false. A common example would be in RSC Andrew saying that he doubted the R2H would ever be introduced as it would be overpowered. I just doubt the validity of most of what Jagex promises or says.
  15. The blessed spirit sheild is a waste of cash. Use void with deflector and your best d hide top/range top. This is the best use of the shield spot for range training.
  16. Using dragon bones and a war tort, altering the bones, approximately how long would 6.125m exp take? Assuming I have all the bones banked of course and am running them myself without brawlers. Edit: Answered it myself.
  17. Bad idea, you don't have the stats to hold a world at a good boss and the rest are worse then slayer.
  18. Dalies > herb farming > slaying Frost drags are good too and you're close. I would usually suggest flipping but the market has been way to volatile lately and it's a bad time to get into flipping.
  19. As the bow degrades it loses its bonuses. The trick is to take every shot that would cause it to degrade on a second bow, causing that bow to degrade instead. Then you can keep using your fully charged bow. It's a pain to count shots though, so most people don't do it.
  20. Overloads, are better for TD's and all boss hunting. Turm/SS is better for dung and minigames. Unless you have cash to burn and use ovl in minigames in which case they are better there too.
  21. 1. No need to do so, what you have gives you a good balance between mage bonus and pray bonus. 2. Yes, however fury works well for rock lobsters. The arcane stream is good to get because you will use it even after you are done bursting/barraging and is an amazing investment for combat magic. It's drawback at rock lobsters is that the bonus only applies to the monster you're targeting and not the other eight. If you never plan to train magic with combat ever stick with the fury. If you do plan to use magic with combat sometime after rock lobsters I would go with the arcane stream. I was in a similar situation and I don't regret getting it. 3. If you decide to go with an arcane stream then use a soul wars cape, if not use use a fury and mage arena cape. Don't bring a cape for lures.
  22. Okay, first that was what I was referring to in my post. I've read that story. Either way, it's a minor error. Doesn't change the facts that; a) Runewiki is a terrible source, edited by anyone, I could go in now and edit it to say whatever I need to support my argument, b) There is no evidence of J Mods speaking about the Ritual that you can bring up. If you can please do so. If a tree falls in the forest, it doesn't matter if nobody hears it. Same goes for Jagex Q&A sessions, if there is no record of them they make a terrible basis for speculation c) Some Zarosian mahjaratt are not nesessarily good. I wouldn't consider cursing the barrows brothers to be an act of good. Most of our encounters have been with only Azzandra, that does not mean the others are all the same. Even Azzandra has stated that other Zarosian mahjaratt aren't "good" both in quests and in the postbag that OP quoted, d) Why would Lucien die when there are much weaker Mahjaratt? I presume he would much prefer to kill one of his weaker allies then to become prey himself. Also, though it does look like Zaros might have influence again, there is no evidence that it is even possible to bring him back. I see Jhallan as the most likely sacrifice canidate, however there are other weak mahjaratt. Lucien is the most powerful, there is no reason at all for him to be the one that gets sacrificed, e) At the end of the day this is all pretty baseless speculation. My personal feelings are that somehow Nomad is going to become heavily involved with this.
  23. Where has that been confirmed? I don't take thing you say very seriously unless you can back them up with a quote/screenshot/thread. The story with Siliske and the barrows brothers is posted, he didn't give them their gear, he gave them their set effects along with a curse which allowed them to fight deep into morytania until his curse eventually overcame them. The only thing interesting here is how it sounds like they made a deal with him. I can't see us being too aligned with any side during the Ritual, assuming we ever will see it, because I don't see how we could be useful to any side. Either way, that blurb doesn't point to a quest, it's really just a little lore that might in the future be further expanded on in a quest, however that was already known.
  24. I've used it at TDS extensivly after it came out, I can answer some of this from experience. First, the special hits on range and melee pray. If it hits high enough mage pray is activated. However, it only hits high enough for like 1/3 or 1/4 specs it seems. If it doesn't make the TDS change to mage pray, then you still need to deal 300 damage with range to get it to swap to range pray. So that means it really only kicks butt for 1/3 specs. For solo I don't see it being much better then D Claws or D hally. However, if you duo TDS it is awesome as you can coordinate your specs and force it to change to mage every time. Like, this really speeds up duo kills. Also, this is my observations from using void melee, however I did not ever use max strength gear or turmoil. If you did that and are maxed it might increase to 2/3 specs, I don't know though, that might be enough to make it worth using.
  25. How do people take money out irl? Melt pennies to make copper? I can't think of another way... Lrn2economics You've got a bright future ahead living paycheck to paycheck. So never learn to save. NEVER. Putting money in a bank doesn't take it out of the economy. Even burying it is still a choice, and as a consumer your decisions would be altered by the fact that you know you have a stash, so it still has influence. When money goes into a sink in RS, it is actually removed, in real life there are far fewer situations where it is removed. I personally would never take money out of the economy, I much rather buy goods with it, mostly for investment though. I'm just curious as to what 0phathead0 could possibly have meant.
