The time taken to gather the feathers isn't free. Just sayin'

http://forum.tip.it/topic/272835-guide-to-efficient-frost-dragon-slaying/ There is an awesome video on the best way to kill them with a tortoise.

The only reason summoning would be good is if you hate charm gathering. Higher summoning levels also means you can get more exp out of the charms you currently have banked.

Even one's like these? Totally useless, completely ignorant and incredibly rude. Useless? No. Ignorant? Maybe. Rude? Ok you have me there. Yeah but sometimes, with certain people, you need to use some force before they can grasp an idea. So sometimes being rude IS the best option. It NEVER is in my opinion. That's like saying "some women just won't listen to me, so hitting them is the best option." It isn't. Be patient and if that fails ignore them. To all the educated forum users you will have made your point and that is what matters.

Just a thought. If all the "efficiency trolls" left these forums, what would they be like? Isn't that high standard of devotion to the game and exploration of mechanics what makes these forums different from others? If people who gave advice about efficient methods all left H&A, would people be better off? If people didn't post the math proving that rapier > cls or other things about top gear, would the members of this community be better off? My opinion is that the "efficiency trolls" are what makes this community great. Shoving things down peoples throats is never okay, but striving for knowledge should always be encouraged. The negativity towards efficiency seems to be hindering so much more, is it really worth it? PS, it's also REALLY [bleep]ING ANNOYING when people in H&A stick to incorrect, preconceived notions or give flat out bad advice. When someone posts the most efficient method there they are doing the best they can with the information given. A makeover of the H&A rules might be a great idea putting more burden on the OP to specify exactly what they want.

Look at my stats and consider this, I own none of the items you mentioned. They are a waste, at this point in the game skills boost combat capabilities much more then gear does. The only thing on your list that might be worth owning is claws. Sell the SGS, it is horrible as a primary weapon and as a special weapon. I think I remember reading that dragon scimitar has better dps. Extremes >>>>>>>>>>>> Fury + zerker ring > claws > bandos Edit: If you sold SGS you would probably be able to afford extremes and a zerker ring.

I don't know what the best setup would be because I'm not that experienced at arma, but I can tell you that the above setup is crap. Edit: A mid price setup.. it would help if we knew your stats. Ava's, fury, arma top, arma bottom, verac helm, dfs, zammy vambs, archers ring, infinity boots. Dia bolts (e) and your ccbow. IF you wanted to upgrade to a higher priced setup you would use pernix cowl and barrows gloves. EE/EEE for specs.

Will test this. Edit: Timed it. You get the first warning at six minutes You get the second warning at six minutes, twenty seconds. Now time to test the house options... Edit2: House options do appear to pause the antifire countdown timer. I'm at seven minutes now and no notifications about my antifire decaying.

What is the Most Cost-Effective Method to Train Herblore?
Nifflin replied to Panzerlord's topic in Help and Advice
If you want to save money or even profit then clean herbs and make them into unf pots with a scroll of cleansing. Slow, profiting exp. -
Can you please elaborate on wyverns? Never heard of anyone mention them for charms and I am curious They are decent charm droppers, up there with rock lobsters, waterfeinds and black demons. Skeletals drop two crimsons 50% of the time. I personally hate them, but some people find them quite decent.

2nd picture kinda reminds me of Oblivion.

So how do the horns gain exp then? It's not linear?
-
How does the horn fill then? Is it exponential?

Lol i hope you're trolling. Nope, Grimy is brilliant. He knows more about Runescape then just about anyone. He is extremely helpful and open to helping people he might not know well. On top of that he is actually a good player, especially in PvE. I'm sorry but the i don't find someone who forces their opinions on someone "a good player". I don't find someone who makes a job of a game "a good player". I don't find someone who can't accept that he might sometimes be wrong "a good player". I find that laugh worthy. Believe it or not, people like woox16 are the "good players". Those who are willing to risk millions in items for the sake of entertaining other players. Not someone that sits behind the laptop with a calculator all day waiting for an opertunity to prove someone wrong. That's just being the biggest douche in the game. You obviously don't know him very well. If you think the best player is the one who entertains you the most it just shows how egocentric you are. I wouldn't expect you to appreciate the value of a player who puts hundreds of hours into finding the best ways to play the game and then sharing that knowledge openly. The purpose of a game is to entertain. It has nothing to do with being egocentric. I don't know how you can even think that. I. . . i don't even. . . And i have no problem with people sharing information with others to make their gameplay a bit easier. What i have a problem with is "player who puts hundreds of hours into finding the best ways to play the game" cause that. . . LMFAO i can't even begin to describe how funny that sounded when i said it out loud. Share your info as you like but don't [cabbage] yourself when someone uses a method that is 3% slower but 50% easier than the "best method". That just shows petty. It shows your craving to be the top dog. EDIT: I also think it wise to drop this. I don't feel like getting myself banned over something as stupid as this. But is the purpose of other living, breathing players to entertain you? No, it's to entertain themselves. So it's egocentric of you to define the best player in terms of yourself personally. Like it or not, this game is to a very large extent about grinding. So the person who is able to find the very best ways to grind is an amazing player. Grimy is an example in our community but a more well known player would be Zarfot. It is these guys who really understand the game and share that understanding with others.

@OP Barrows is the best moneymaker for your levels. Dragons are really packed with bots which makes most of them difficult to kill. Aviansies are also quite botted. If you want to up your income significantly then I suggest you start herb farming, there is a great AoW guide to it, I'll edit my post with a link to it. Between herbs and MTK, I make millions each week with almost no effort at all. For dungoneering it can be difficult to start off, I know. I suggest you solo c6 smalls until you are level 50-60, then go to the cc dg sweepers. It is a sort of unofficial Tip.It dungoneering clan and the people there are really brilliant. Dungoneering gives lots of great rewards. If you are barrowing a lot I'm sure you would appreciate an arcane stream necklace for example. Oh yea, forgot to point out, if you train dung while you farm herbs and do mtk, by the time you have level 85 or so, you will have 15-20m banked. @Sy_Accursed Not at OP's level, in fact, if OP powerslays they will probably lose money. OP can't kill most boss monsters because they are either too difficult or too competitive.

What is a great quest to do for teleports is Love Story, which lets you chip house teletabs to teleport to all the different house portals. No more moving your POH. In my bank I have: A stack of house teletabs, a stack of each regular teletab, around thirty of each type of dragonstone jewelry, rings of dualing, games necklaces and slayer rings, and lastly my ectophial and explorers ring. Now this gives me a total of.. well I won't count, but it's over thirty teleport locations. And this is regardless of the spellbook I am on. Now I realize it's a significant investment but really, the luxery of travel to wherever I want regardless or my spellbook is priceless. Edit: Slayer rings are really important because the Rellkala (sp?) teleport puts you right next to a ring. Likewise the mobilising armies teleport from the ring of dueling puts you right at the spirit tree network.
-
Barrows pure! You might end up with 71 defense after you finish all the quests though. Edit: I saw you specified free worlds, well then, you can max out.. I'm not an expert with that but maxing pretty much levels the playing field.

The portal room is only for modern teleports and the Canfis ancient teleport. What is a great quest to do for teleports is Love Story, which lets you chip house teletabs to teleport to all the different house portals. In my bank I have: A stack of house teletabs, a stack of each regular teletab, around ten of each type of dragonstone jewelry, rings of dualing, games necklaces and slayer rings, and lastly my ectophial and explorers ring. Now this gives me a total of.. well I won't count, but it's over thirty teleport locations. And this is regardless of the spellbook I am on. Now I realize it's a significant investment but really, the luxery of travel to wherever I want regardless or my spellbook is priceless. What this means for your choice is that the teleports each offer should be insignificant, you should pretty much ask if you use alchemy and superheat more then you use combat magic, because that's the biggest difference between modern and ancients.
-
I'm going to borrow this for the Q&A with the community support mod. Thanks!
-
You are getting them both so it shouldn't really matter. Once you have both the spellbooks are pretty quick to swap between so whichever one you're on is never a big concern. That and every place you could want to go is in a teletab, jewelry, house portal or something of the sort, I hardly ever use spellbook teleports anymore regardless of which book I am on. That being said I like modern very much for the superheat and alchemy spells. Lunar has some niche uses, vengeance at 94 and string jewelry which is very fast, cheap magic exp, some people like to use NPC contact to get slayer tasks and there are a few other decent spells in lunars. And ancient is used for combat exclusively, bursting rock lobsters, stealing creation and barrows are places where I find it really shines. So pretty much just ask yourself which you think you will use the most, and that is the one you should get first. Since you will eventually get them both it shouldn't matter much. To be honest I found that I stayed on modern spells a lot after I got them and figured out where to use them.

Work towards it, not complete it. Perhaps he could finish all the prerequisite quests.

Tormented demons or dragons with my combat stats?
Nifflin replied to AHappySeeker's topic in Help and Advice
Broad Bolts = Slower kills, more supplies used, less loot over time Karils Crossbow = Noticeably faster kills, less supplies used, more loot over time Take your pick, Karils Crossbow is much better. -
While Guthix Sleeps is amazing, both the plot and the rewards. You could work towards it.
