Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.

That's a good idea, I tend to try and get people to do their frozens as c2 instead (if not 99 fish) as it keeps me more interested in the floor, rather than c1s which are just un-fun rushing (rushing in GENERAL is fun though, just not c1s). Then it just leave 12-29 ina row -

If you get bogged down by a couple of slower floors then try to start the next few with 2 very good wingmen to ensure a good time. While keying for newbs can be considered admirable, if a good keyer starts getting really slow floors, it's down to the team entirely. Yeah, I can tell once i've got a good nuber of floors done on there, i'm gonna end up with a few of those 40 min floors i get every now and then ^.^ EDIT: Thought I'd make it public so people can make sure i put all floors down (I tend to put them on straight after the floor anyway) https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=tfIQiG-UjpkkpHJWR3X_Nuw#gid=0 -

Yeah, because there are only certain options on the form what you can't see is that person probably has a tangle gum longbow second bind, justifying the arrows EDIT: it's surprising how many people bind arrows for some reason, we ran into two with sag p++ and no hex yesterday while looking for c1 teams on 148 -

How does 'The hexhunter bow is now affected by the Desperado Dungeoneering ring' affect the ring choice for hexers? (if at all) -

Good stuff, I decided yesterday to have a bind/ring overhaul as I've just been going with whats got me through the last 110 levels rather than what's best. Got rid of my laws, bound CSB, didn't know whether to go gatherer or blazer and wasn't sure whether to keep prim b axe or go prom2h (and get primal rapier)....... Now I don't even have to think about it  -

Yeah, I've been concerned about the same thing. It has deterred me from actually becoming a ranked keyer in DGS, since it is now impossible to be ranked in two separate clans. IMO all this update does is destroy the concept of multi clanning, as many people are moving away from the "friend's chat" anyways. I think it would be ok if they added a single 'ranked friend' rank, so you can at least be acknowledged and identified 'seperate' to other guests (as ranked keyers are to normal clan members) Then you still only have one full clan membership, but you can play an active part in other clans -
12-Apr-2011- Clan Camp, Support and Web Pages

I'm not one to complain about updates normally, but the new high scores are indeed horrible (if that's how they're going to look permanently). the clan updates look ok though, can join dgs and 3bo at once now -
I've got similar effigy using stats, and I'm leaning more towards using the lamps on the skills i hate training (this would be agility, and maybe rc if i think it's more beneficial to level than agility) Using them on prayer/herblore is fair enough, I'm not doing that as I think I'd be happy camping frosts to make the money for these at some point. Another important thing to factor in is that, per dragonkin lamp (initially) you'll be getting ~19k rc xp or ~30k prayer xp, rather than the 1xp vs. 1xp comparison they use in the all 200m xp discussion
-
I guess considering they are doing al all 99's cape (I think), adding many extra requirements for the uber cape seems fair enough, 21 dungeoneering levels on their own dont really justify a new cape
-
I have one, but I don't really use it for the internet much (unless i'm travelling or away from a com), and from a week of leaving the mobile data connection on, I used 3MB, so the latent usage is pretty low. Nice phone in terms of usability/reliability, only awkward thing was getting a case

This was DGS, right? I would really like to know why that person has a prom longsword and a sachem stormbringer. <_< I need to beat some more sense into these people. It was a Dgs/148 hybrid team, one of them didn't know what was going on at all -
Chaotics are not like barrows, multicombats areas do in fact make it degrade faster. However I dont know about gravite. Is that true? I thought the defensive stuff degraded faster (makes sense, more things attacking you), but I didn't know about the offensive stuff too

i done this the first time the other day, and in terms of ranging the fight caves our stats are pretty similar. I usd a mix of d'hide and prossy armour, with a ccbow (but rune cbow would have been fine too). As long as you can pray switch for Jad, and you take out rangers + birds quick you shouldn't run out of brews/restores if you take ~9-10 brews and the rest restores. EEE is a must too, to save on brews

I can see how dungeoneering is similar to minigames, but the whole 'dungeoneering is not a skill' argument is ridiculous imo. Skills and minigames are defined by what Jagex say, and there is no reason they can't have cross overs in style, I think dungeoneering was a step in the right direction in terms of futures skills (a skill that requires SKILL?).

You probably want to do c6 solos (smalls at first, then meds) until about 60-70, then use dungeonsweepers if you're willing to listen to the people running floors  i think you might need level 82 for chaotics, and you don't want to spend tokens on xp if you're only saving for a chaotic

lol. That would just confine it to 'people who have played for 10 years and can merch or didn't trade their holiday items within 8 years'. I think they should definately be within the cost range of the 120 cape, the whole point of them is to show that you've been in the game for 10 years, not that you have loads of rs money. I've been around about 9 years and don't have piles of cash to show for it :P

you do not have to wear the row to get the new rare table drops. are you saying that you only get parts of the effect when it's in your inventory? (the part with the random new drops like noted resources, right?) You don't even need a ROW to get them, it just increases the chance of getting them (more than it did before)

Jagex to develop Transformers MMO for 2012.
Stommel replied to Sylpheed's topic in General Discussion
This could be cool, not sure I'd want 3 mmo's on the go at once though. Only thing I'm slightly concerned about is if they're using the stellar dawn model for it (they haven't released any new SD info in about 4 months)....realise this is very unlikely but jagex is makin me paranoid with their no info -
Reading peoples reasons against the bonus xp weekend I can see that not being able to play a significant amount of time over the particular weekend. Maybe a on time item which, when activated, gives double xp for a specific amount of in game time (I'm not a fan of a specific amount of xp). This way people can have a period of a few months in which to dedicate 10 hours (or however long it is) to bonus xp specific skilling. They don't have to do it in one go, but they do have to priorotise their 'play' for the next 10 hours (i.e. you could devote it all to tree runs for 6 months, but then you wouldn't be able to train other skills in between etc)
-
I'm a bonus xp weekend fan (when choosing out of the two). Hati gloves: Give a fixed amount of bonus xp, which can be gained casually over a period of months. Bonus XP weekend: Everyone earns different amounts of xp, rewards players based on how prepared they are. I prefer this idea because it means there is an element of forethought and planning. I like the bits of runescape which actually distinguish between people depending on how much they've thought about something (Dungeoneering is another example of this, some minigames too although I'm personally more focused on total level) I'm not implying that I'm a god at this planning business, just that judging from the people I was talking to over the weekend, there were massive differences in how much people had prepared. I probably got about 3m cheap herb xp, and some crafting/construction/farming levels in the time some people were getting well under 1m xp making serum 207's or high alching stuff. And other people who had REALLY prepared got almost 10m in skills VERY quickly [Another bonus is that the weekend makes buyables alot cheaper, and for people who aren't interested in buyables they can train whatever skills they don't like and that reduces the 'grind' of the game for them]
-
Unless your DIYing you'll probably want to just farm whatever herbs are the best profit/xp and then sell them to buy supplies for whatever pots you're making. Making supplies (super pots and antifires etc) for untradeable pots is the way to go though
-
I just used some bones on my altar and got 8xp, so it's working without burners lit. Maybe something to do with bonus xp wekend coding and burner bonuses (try it without burners lit with one bone to see if you get a bonus)

Ok, thanks, will probably stay off slayer for now then
