Shades of Mor'ton
Best bet would to just be to try going onto World 2, I believe it is. Either way... server hopping is what usually works best, rather then trying to rally people to your server.

Quick tip for all of you abyss crafters...
Abyss PKer tactics might have changed since I've last played... but normally when I would run into someone who entangled me... they would either equip a whip and swing away at me or just try and beat me with God spells (neither of which ever worked). This was all when the DDS was non-existent. Anyways... when it would get to the point of annoying. I would just grab my plain old poisoned drag dagger and just special the heck out of them. Nearly got a whip that way. So maybe now with the newer poisons... you could get some kills depending on how well you hit. So yeah, its decent advice I guess. Nothing new though I'd say.

My Conversations With Bob
*points to avatar* Had that thing ever since the Star Wars spoof existed, give or take a day or so. Some of you flamers need to bugger off though. Its not like this topic is constantly discussed.

16 January 2006 - Agility Pyramid
When the games room was first made. The rooms were flooded. And there wasn't an empty seat in that room. I'm sure if some new games were introduced, the area would be greatly populated once again for a brief amount of time. Maybe a week at the most.

16 January 2006 - Agility Pyramid
Eh, most people just hope for too much. Could've told ya that this was gonna be a noob update. While I don't understand that either, its really just predictable of jagex. I look at it this way... I don't see why they focus on giving new players more and more with each and every update... While the older players are lucky to maybe get one update a month (and sometimes not even any). Its so easy to level that these "mid levels" will be moving on to bigger and better things anyhow. The main question I ask myself with any one update is... Will this update be used constantly two months from now? Or... Will I see more then five people there if I go there two months from now? The answer with this update is simply no and more then likely not. Now... I haven't done the update, obviously I can't. But based on these seven pages of discussion... There are better things around. I would do the course a few times and then be done with it myself, honestly. Agility area is so much better, and more fun, in my opinion. Its basically what got me my decent agility level to begin with. I played that mini game/course so much that I basically had it down to a science almost. This update, while maybe nice... wont have any staying power. The desert effect in itself gives players a good reason to not want to bother with it. Its really just another space filler. On a side note... this is not a rant by any means. Just simply an observation. So anyone foolish enough to claim its a rant... go waste your words on something less important. I just feel that Jagex is wrong by overflowing the game with low level updates constantly.

P2p guide for a new p2per
You would probably want to also do Priest in Peril. It'll allow you access to Mortania. You'd probably want to do most, if not all the quests over in that area. Seeing as though it will allow you to access certain areas and give you shortcuts to access those areas as well. Edit: Here are other quests that no one bothered to mention: Heros - Allows you to weild Drag Axe, and I think mace (might be able to weild that before though) Lost City - Allows you to weild Drag Sword and dagger (same applies for the dagger as the mace) Monkey Madness - Allows you to weild dragon scimmy. Legends Quest - Bonus exp in whatever skill you want Desert Treasure - Ancient Magiks

Could've probably had your account back the very day it was locked had you of written down your agreement number. Even with just that they usually will reset the password for you.

Party Hat Drop Indicates a Healthy Market
Thats what he does, basically. I look at it this way... the prices are always going to constantly rise and fall. Why r2 still continues to post about it is beyond me. Just seems to me that some people never change. And his fixation on phats seems to reflect that.

Sandwitch Lady STOPS autoers
You said it yourself, so why get excited over it? Just because it isn't in their program yet doesn't mean it wont be added. Its just a temporary problem for autoers. The event could be designed in such a way that there is no way around it, but for some reason I doubt that. So yeah... you're excited for no reason. To be honest. I really don't even know why some of these people even bother to auto. Its not like there is a whole lot involved in what you're doing. I just don't get how or why some people can be so lazy.

The community is getting really bad
Jagex are morons for advertising? People seem to be forgetting that Jagex are a company, trying to make money. The more customers they get the better (for them). Saying that Jagex shouldn't advertise on Miniclip is a bit silly, as that is where their best market is! Its a shame for us mature people, but thats the way of the world - its all about money :( You really overlooked my point. Maybe I didn't make it as clear as I would have liked, but I'll attempt to explain a little. They are morons for aiming at a lower age group. By no means was I ever suggesting they were morons for wanting to make money. You took my statement completely out of context in that respect. Obviously, anyone who has the least bit of common sense knows that Jagex would want to advertise their product. They put the time, money, and effort into recreating a game that needed the improvements. Of course their entitled to profit off of it. How you profit off of it is what is questionable. Knight Online is a huge example of this. Its a small game, based on nothing but combat. You have your cheaters and what not, but for the most part... everyone is quite mature. You get your cocky, egotistical jerk every now and then, but for every one rude person you see... theres about ten other nice people you meet. Runescape use to be like that, and well... sadly thats changed. The older players of the game will more then likely end up just leaving and moving onto bigger and better things. And let the kids be their mindless, immature, selves. Seems like more and more people are talking about WoW anyhow.

Will 5k autoer In Runescape 2 be banned next? Told you so!!
MAC addresses would most definitly work to some degree, but like you said, they can be spoofed. How they would go about that is beyond me. IP addresses are usually all most games work with. MAC addresses just seem more or less ignored, which is really mind boogling in most instances. And yeah, I suppose it would be a problem if MAC addresses would be banned. Since its a cheap and simple fix for most people. Playing in public places is one thing I will never get. People really shouldn't be playing RS in public places. And I know thats a very strong opinion, but you have no clue what could be planted on those systems to begin with. And most people more often then not actually become victims for simply playing in public places. I actually know of someone who had their account broken into because of just playing in a library. And he was even a player mod at the time. I would also go as far as stating not to even play RS at a friends house.

Will 5k autoer In Runescape 2 be banned next? Told you so!!
I don't see Classic lasting another two years. And if it does... there will be such a little amount of players there that it would be almost pointless to even keep one server running. Its just time to let go anyhow. It was good while it lasted, but everyone knew that the place was gonna be consumed with cheaters. They could go months on end cheating and not get caught simply because RSC wasn't a priority anymore. Can the old version and make everyone play the "new" version. Barely anyone can play RSC now anyways. Can only play it if you've played it within 6 months... have to be a member... 5k players just banned... That almost has to narrow the list of people who can use it by over half or more.

More Whiners? Mage Training Shop Prices Fall
Which is really what the entire update seems to be geared toward (Runecrafting in general). All those items can really be earned by spending nothing but time on it, from what I'm gathering. Its really just encouraging people to Runecraft more in my opinion. Might take longer, but its cheap that way. And the bigger picture is... those who do Runecraft the runes they need to get the stuff will advance further in Mage and RCing. Which is really what lower levels who are training to be mages should be doing.

More Whiners? Mage Training Shop Prices Fall
Well... I saw this update coming ever since last week. When people were complaining about the overall price of just the wand... I knew the prices were going to get changed. Why people rushed in and bought the junk is beyond me. And thats basically what the stuff is at those prices. The time in which you took to earn the stuff just seemed unreasonable to me. The more I think of it, I do feel that maybe Jagex could have worked this update to not rip off people. They could've maybe reconfigured their master item list by changing the ID of the items after the update. And the the ID of the item before the update be the amount that the item was actually worth? I dunno if that would have worked, but it sounds like a good idea now that I think of it. Just a question as to whether they would have been able to have done that or not. That in itself could've taken at least an additional week to do. And depending on when they decided to address this issue, they might not of had time to do that to meet the deadline for this update. Guess common sense really does go a long way though. I still don't see why some people realized the prices were out of place, yet decided to go ahead and spend their points on the items anyways. Kind of defeats the purpose of complaining about the prices really. Sorry for the rambling, I'm done now. :) EDIT: Just wanna add a few comments so that it doesn't seem like I'm totally blaming players for their lack of common sense... I do find it pathetic how Jagex can't find balance in their updates. The price of runes in that shop before the update was a prime example of this, not to mention all the other items there. Its pretty weak that they are so out of touch with the very game that they work on. Some of these people who do the coding really have no market sense once so ever. They took little to no consideration into the time invested/consumed in earning each point or anything. This seems to usually be reflected in any major update. They can't really ever seem to take a thought and complete it. That and they can't take that very thought and apply it to Runescape at all without causing some sort of controversy. They would really serve themselves better if they would take a random amount of players and place them on a special beta server. I for one would have loved to contribute to the product at one time. Now this game just seems like a lost cause for me.

The community is getting really bad
These topics get old. The Runescape Community has been bad ever since RS2 was launched. This isn't something that started happening yesterday and complaining about it really isn't going to help. Nor will it change anything. Best solution is to either deal with it or leave. Find a game that fits the actual age group in which you are or the age group in which you would feel more comfortable playing with. And this really does belong in the Rants forum, IMHO. EDIT: And yous just can't blame everything on MiniClip. Blame it on Jagex. They're the morons that pay to be advertised there to begin with (if they even pay). Not only that, but they spent a good bit of time promoting RS2. I remember seeing a review on IGN. And Real Arcade even has RS2 listed. So it isn't all just MiniClip. It maybe is the largest contributor by far though.

10 January 2006 - The Hand in the Sand
I saw the price changes coming from a mile away, and I don't even play anymore. Obviously if everyone (or the mass majority) is thinking that it isn't worth the effort to get one item... let alone all of them... That the prices would change. Otherwise that update in itself would have been a huge failure. The change maybe should have been done sooner. But you can't blame jagex for those who were unable to see clearly that there was going to be a change. Not like any of those people would have believed us anyways even if we did mention something. One of the many reasons in which I didn't even bother even mentioning it.

Another hidden update?!
The thing about it is... it was reported on this very forum. I haven't been playing for nearly 6 months now and can't even charge and I knew about the change. And this change didn't happen yesterday... it was done months ago. And it should've actually been done much sooner then that IMHO. They let that feature in for far too long, it should've never been the way it was to begin with. Which makes your complaining all the more pointless. You're just another person who waited too long to take advantage of it, thats all I see.

Goodbye Everyone! (Plus a warning!!) [EDIT] Ban shortened!
Exactly, always two sides to the story. And half the time people come here complaining about getting banned... its for a just reason.

so jagex lied
Never played the SIMs and have no intrest in it. But guess what... I have played Star Wars Galaxies, which in a lot of ways is similar to Runescape (just maybe twenty times bigger). And I must admit... having a house is nice. And like I've said thousands of time before concerning POHs... its always nice to have a place you can call home. Not just aimlessly walking around town-to-town with no real place to just kick back and relax. Yeah... thats right, some of us would actually like to have a place where noobs like you can't reach us. And I would pay for a month or two of members just so I could secure a house.

No, he may well be 50% (or even 100%) right on what is causing the delay. But underestimating development time is not scope creep - even though the two things have the same effect - delaying the project. It's like if you asked a builder to build you a house. 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry and bathroom. Now if the builder told you it would take four weeks, but he failed to consider the time it would take him to lay the foundations in the rocky ground and get building approval - and it ends up taking eight weeks, then that's simply his underestimation. If you keep going back to him and saying "Put a games room in here", "Make them 9 foot ceilings instead of 8 foot", "Build a verandah around the whole house" and it ends up taking eight weeks, then that's "scope creep"... the 'scope' of the project keeps 'creeping' outwards. Alright, thanks for clearing that up.

so jagex lied
Off Topic: If you're going to complain about other people's misuse of terms then you really shouldn't go ahead and do it yourself. Scope creep refers to stakeholders/clients putting more and more requests for functionality into a project, thereby creating a bigger project than was originally intended, creating a budget/time blowout - rather than the developers underestimating the effort involved. One of my pet peeves too :) Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he at least 50% correct on what he said? They did under estimate the time in which it took to code something. Maybe I'm just misreading, it is getting late... so maybe I'm not as focused as I usually am.

Need help with my mom
Well the simple thing is to tell your mom that you're a kid and she should let you be one while you still can. If you get hyper... thats really no good reason for her to take things away from you. Then again... if you're hyper... sitting around playing a game wont do anything either. You should run around and have fun. Enjoy the sun and fresh air (or the winter wether in some areas). Just sit down and talk to her. While not being hyper...
