I really think this thread is overestimating the effects this update will have on the game. 07Scape most likely won't be too popular after a few months, and the normal game isn't going to collapse as a result of the attention being given to 07Scape. With that said, I'm not sure why everybody's getting so emotional over this. >_>

Don't have drygores yet. I've been using dual chaotic rapiers + melee void. Is this the best I can use for now? Or would cmaul be better? Or dual xbows and ranged void too for certain phases?

Ehh that's not exactly true. The determination required to tolerate such a slow, tedious, and boring method makes it "difficult." Willpower is a skill too, mind you :P Just because something is simple doesn't mean it's easy.

Who said I openly bragged about my 99's? They where my personal goals and achievements. Why do you think people like Zezima reached maxed skills first? What if it was to brag? It was a credible achievement. Which is now has been subtracted by how easy skills are to gain xp now. You should keep your assumptions to yourself. Also saying how I type detracts from my argument is just off topic. Edit: How is a way of playing runescape wrong? You're saying by trying to achieve something thats hard in the game is wrong? If it was merely a personal goal, then you wouldn't be so upset at how much easier it is to achieve the same goal nowadays. If playing a game doesn't make you happy or entertained, then you're doing something wrong.

I'm basically saying that "mental maturity" and not being considered a "sexual being" despite having gone through puberty is a societal construct, resulting from many many centuries of stigmatizing sex and making it sound way more important than it actually is.

Do merchants only affect resources and trade goods? Or can they increase things like XP earned from special voyages too?

Keep in mind that a lot of those "underage" pregnancies are the result of abnormalities in the mother. In other words, it's not "natural" to have kids at such an age. I agree that the stigmatization of the sexualization of post-pubescent kids is a societal thing. This is assuming that the kid goes through puberty "naturally," though.

In the past, I would buy 12lb bags of these weight gain supplements and drink them for breakfast. Decided to order another bag for the first time in several months... sadly they no longer have chocolate so I ordered vanilla. Just tried vanilla and it tastes disgusting. Don't get me wrong-- the chocolate wasn't exactly delicious, but at least it was consumable. Just looking at this 12lb bag of nasty vanilla powder makes my stomach churn lol :( Lesson learned: taste it before you order 12 lbs of it

I've decided not to vote, even though 2006-2007 was my favorite time in RS. Looking back, the thing I enjoyed most in RS back then was ice barraging in the wild, CW, and Fight Pits. But ice barrage cost 1.8k per cast, and the average income (including mine) was only about 300k/hr. If everything is starting "fresh," not only would it take me forever to get 94+ magic for a 3rd time, but ice barrage would be even more expensive this time around. I've already had enough fun doing that in later days anyways. Ultimately, the excessive amount of grinding doesn't justify the fun to be had. Especially if it's a 2013 community in a 2007 game. If the 2007 servers are released for free, I'll probably just make my account DIY on there.
