  1. As soon as the glacytes spawn: (w/o titan) 1. Equip polypore and disable autocast 2. Attack and kill sapping 3. Attack enduring and get as far away from the glacor as possible without it moving 4. Kill enduring (the further it is from the glacor, the weaker it is) 5. Kill unstable (w/ titan) 1. Attack enduring (w/ fire surge) 2. Right-click summon icon, tell titan to attack sapping 3. Left-click summon icon, tell titan to spec 4. Equip poly, disable autocast, attack enduring while running away 5. Keep telling titan to spec for every attack 6. Kill sapping if you kill the enduring before titan kills sapping 7. Kill unstable after other glacytes are dead I think its actually more efficient to have "attack" as the left-click command, but i right click attack anyways.
  2. Yes-- the distance the enduring is from the glacor is very strongly correlated with how much damage you do to it
  3. I own a set of void mage but i never use it since from what ive heard, it sucks. For the poly on glacytes, make sure youre luring the enduring very far away from the glacor. Its not unusual to hit 500s w poly on them. Its actually easier with the titan since because it is killing the sapping for you while you kill the enduring, youre spending less time being attacked and therefore losing a lot less hp and prayer.
  4. You'll want to get a surgebox because not only does it save you on inventory space, it also gives you a much better damage boost than any other off-hand mage item. Basically when I was learning the ropes of Glacors, I wore the following: Neitz Helm (for defense on Glacytes, prayer bonus, and no negative magic att) Akrisae Top (great prayer bonus; one less thing to keep track of) Akrisae bottoms (same as top) Infinity boots (I didn't have ragefires) Staff of light (I didn't have a chaotic staff, which would be better) Arcane stream Barrows gloves Ring of wealth or mage-boosting ring Soul wars cape (prayer)... God cape or ardy cape would be good too, depending on how much prayer you think you need. Surgebox I brought a unicorn stallion till I was capable of surviving on soul split alone. Basically you'll use soul split at all times except for when the glacytes are out; you should be able to get to full (or nearly full) hp before they spawn every time. For killing the glacytes, I'd use a polypore staff cuz it's a lot simpler than rapier and a lot cheaper than storm of arma. Here's the progression of my Glacor-hunting... each step resulted in more kills/hr. It's also more fun w/ the titan imo. 1) High defense/prayer gear; unicorn; safespots [i used the same safespot that you're using] 2) High defense/prayer gear; unicorn; no safespots 3) High defense/prayer gear; titan; no safespots 4) Battle robes; titan; no safespots I've been using battle robes lately just cuz I've got a shit ton of fog tokens, the prices of fire surges has gone way up recently, and I don't have a chaotic staff. Using polypore on the glacytes apparently results in the same kills/hr as using a rapier, so might as well use poly since it's easier. If you can afford it, you'll get an extra 5 kills/hr or so using storm of arma.
  5. Odds of 1 def 99 mage vs 99 def 99 mage are pretty much 50/50
  6. I'm surprised you don't have more 99s in buyable skills. Don't you think it's fun to train buyables w/ the fastest possible methods?
  7. All spells have the same accuracy.
  8. Just a few questions about the new herblore boost from Flash Powder Factory... I'm hesitant to make any more overloads w/o the 4-dose boost. Is it true that I only need 3 of the new pieces of equipment for the extra dosage boost? Does having more than 3 pieces increase the odds of making 4-dosers? What are the odds of getting the 4-dose potion boost while making potions? Approximately how long does it take to get 3 pieces of equipment? How many pts/hr can I expect? Edit-- is it true that the 4-dose boost doesn't work for overloads?
  9. I enjoy being in virtual swamps. I am intrigued...

  11. Looks like their unpaid interns in the QA and KB departments were transfered over to Marketing.
  12. Have you tried using polypore or soa instead of rapier?
  13. I've always hated the ring of wealth... even after the update. Back in the day, I wore a RoW to countless TD trips w/o any luck. The first trip I quit wearing it, I got claws. The second trip, I got claws... I got about 100M worth of claws in 1 week of TDs a long time ago as soon as I quit wearing my RoW. So after the update I put my RoW back on, and had no luck. Yesterday I went w/ Latin to TDs and we used coinshare (disables RoW)... got my first pair of claws in years. Killed 76 shards worth of Glakkers w/o any boots... RoW on the whole time. After what happened at TDs w/o my cursed ring, I went to Glakkers w/o my RoW. First trip w/o RoW: My RoW is cursed.
  14. I feel like a noob for asking this, but oh well. Last time I trained summoning (to 96) was the first bonus xp weekend when summoning was super-unbalanced. Anyways... I'm 96 summoning right now, with 99 summoning almost banked. What should I use my charms on to get 99? Blues: geyser titans Crimsons: Talon beasts and pack yaks Greens: unicorn stallions or abyssal titans? Golds: barker toads? Abyssal titans give more XP than unicorn stallions, but I was wondering if it'd be more efficient to make unicorns anyway so I don't have to gather abyssal charms. Or are abyssal charms easy to gather? I'll need about 500 of them. I'll also have about 1k golds too Are barker toads still the best choice for using gold charms?
  15. I knew I would need to sooner or later lol, how long do they take to get on average? I played around a bit at DT the day it came out, that's about it. It took a good amount of time-- a few days. I don't know how many hours, or what my killing rate was... I just did endurance mode and while watching Youtube videos so the time went by pretty fast. I followed this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7olhMkWgpE Made a few tweaks though... He recommends skipping bosses which are actually quick/easy kills, while killing some that are very time-consuming... Just use your best judgment I guess. If a boss feels like it requires too much time/effort, skip it from then on. D claws will speed up kill rates significantly-- a lot of bosses can get killed w/ claws alone.
  16. I actually just finished my first trip there in a while, using my new goliath gloves plus iron titan, ovls, and turm. I was using familiarization which lasted for 40 minutes (2 ovls), then I left. I ended up with about 345 crimsons in 40 mins, which would be about 173 crims/hour w/o familiarization. I'd strongly recommend getting goliath gloves.
  17. I didn't know it was an issue. Though, usually men w/ long hair either look really unkempt or really feminine. Not many men w/ long hair can pull it off like Fabio does, lol. I really wish women wouldn't cut their hair short. I ALWAYS prefer long hair on women. No shorter than the shoulders, PLEASE!
  18. Sounds like my early High school life. When I was single I was undatable to others, when I WAS dating, suddenly I had 3-4 woman cracking onto me. I think my BF gave me the Flu, and there's a friends party on Sunday. I never get sick, but then I took an arrow to the knee. (When I do get sick, it hits me hard and usually worst timing) That's because women are more attracted to men with girlfriends and men who don't want girlfriends.
  19. If you're just "farming" bosses for kill count, it's best to wear your best offensive melee gear and d claws and reset the waves everytime you get a boss that takes a decent amount of time to complete. Let me know if you need a list of bosses to skip. As for the Apes, they don't appear until wave 6. With the exception of Nomad, I got at least 3 of each of the highest-class bosses on wave 6 by the time I got to 500 kills... and the majority of the time I would reset before making it to wave 6.

  21. @Sly and Sara Do you guys wear a RoW at Glakkers?
