  1. Is Runescape in decline or growth? Big question its definitely bigger than it was in 04 but its very, very different. As to your account it won't be on the hiscoes as only members accounts are listed now. Also, if you made your account in 2004 you won't have used an email to create and may well not have had an email registered to it at all in which case you'll just have to recover without using the email remembering your old passwords, IP etc.. Good luck :)
  2. I think its easy to ignore the issue of actual RWT which probably causes far more problems to the economy anyway and if you look at the traffic that RWT sites get there are far more people going there than are buying spins on the SoF. This is again a slippery slope but it won't in my opinion have a large impact as long as it is in the super rare slot.
  3. They have said that creatures with a combat level 30 below yours will give highly reduced experience so if Dagganoths kept their current combat level and the OP got there 180 Combat level they would no longer gain combat experience (or at least of any note) for that task. Of course we do not know how Slayer assignments may be re-balanced or indeed how NPC combat levels will work. This is all being discussed in the EoC thread though..
  4. Rowan Atkinson is actually a genius.
  5. I still don't understand the whole tablet hype. I've used friends iPad's a couple of times and there fun enough but I can't imagine having any use for one apart from various niche uses in a working environment. As to the Microsoft update I think it's quite interesting to see Microsoft moving into actually making products now rather than just software (I know the Xbox but that was about it) anyway I hope it does extremely well and wipes evil Apple of the face of the earth.
  6. ^ People play RS with the sound turned on?
  7. The stats are not boostable I'm afraid. As to how to train them not my strong area I loathe them both I'd recommend Penguin Points haha :)
  8. All slightly bad quality and obviously swearing in most of them. But still great comedians :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6K8yfQYOTQ&feature=related
  9. I whole heartedly agree but I don't think you're going far enough. Rather than the boring old Dward Cannon (cannon lol is this the middle ages or somin I DONT THINK SO) I would like a portable SAM Turret obvious uses would be Arma GWD and Nex.
  10. I think its important to understand that Dag Kings may be an incredibly different cup of tea post EoC so you can't say once X thing changes Y thing will be impossible if Y thing is also going to change in an unforeseen way.
  11. Before you bother with a BCP Fury Tassets etc.. you should sell your AGS and use the money to get 70 prayer. There is also very little you can do with those stats to earn that amount of money 'quickly'. But let me tell you need to change some stuff up anyway. Piety will give you a much greater DPS than any of those gear updates. An Amulet of Glory is a much better option than an Amulet of Power. Using offensive prayers (piety) with prayer potions should be used in all training activities. Scrap the Rune Gauntlets you should either use a Regen Bracelet or a Combat Bracelet if you can't afford that. As soon as possible you should do the Recipe for Disaster quest to gain access to the strength boosting gloves. A team cape is worthless either use a obsidian cape or a god cape/cloak. As soon as possible get a Fire Cape or Soul Wars Cape. Get rid of your ring of life you shouldn't be dying that much and buy a Berserker Ring. Buy Dragon Boots they're incredibly cheap. AGS is a worse special weapon than Dragon Claws which are also cheaper. EDIT: Looks like I was sniped by a couple of others before finishing my post - that's what comes from watching TV at the same time.
  12. The second one seems completely dumb no-one with particularly high level combat trains on anything that low in combat level. Though I do hope a lot of combat levels for creatures are adjusted because a level 138/200 wouldn't be getting much experience for a lot of slayer tasks. Seems like my plan to max combat BEFORE the release of this update is a good one :) .
  13. If that is the route you wish to go down do some research into PID so you can outclick anyone else looting.
  14. Yes it's still a good way to train smithing - you should get 200k+ exp/hr at a cost of about 5-6gp/xp.
  15. I've got a feeling they said style would be much more important in PvM situations but irrelevant in PvP situations suggesting that your own armor would not have style dependant defences.. I'll try and find a qoute because I've heard so much about the EoC second and first hand that this could just be misinformation.
  16. That is fantastically annoying looks like another 2000 hours spent CWing and its not nearly as fun as it used to be.
  17. So on RSWikia it states that players begin to receive Hybrid Helms after about 60-80 wins in castle wars at which point they are received fairly regularly - I've heard in the region of 40%. So my question is I've player 630 ish Castle Wars games and definitely won more than 80 of those but none of these games have been played since the implementation of hybrid armour so will my previous wins (which must be at least 100+ despite my old-school anti-stack policy) count towards gaining Hybrid Helms or not?
  18. I'm no PVPer but this looks.. fine definitely not something to get ragey about if you don't like it, it hasn't replaced anything else in the game and won't affect you and yet it could be an awesome way for some good PKers to make money.
  19. I would 100% recommend that you start doing combat. Combat opens up so many opportunities especially end game and limiting yourself to not doing combat is in my opinion silly you may also end up damaging your ability to do certain skills because of a lack of quest rewards etc.. Doing combat doesn't mean you can't still be a 'skiller' but the important things to remember about combat is that it is the best high level moneymaker without combat you will not be able to experience roughly 50% of Runescape's content and there is really very little disadvantage to training it.
  20. Basically just wondering if this is just me or some kind of scheduled maintanence or w/e. Basically TIF goes down for me everyday with absolute regularity at around 10 - 10:30 GMT for about 30 minutes.
  21. Most people would not consider making brews the best way to train herblore because you have essentially wasted the money. You should not think of making extremes as a money sink rather you are making a very valuable potion that can be used to great effect in speeding up your GP/H in any combat situation. My point is getting herblore for the sake of getting 99 herblore is very stupid you should get 99 herblore because you want the 2-4k Overloads you'll end up with. Making however many Sara brews to 99 herblore = 80m cost with Saradomin brews but you have no overloads most high level players will use say 2k Overloads pretty easily to make 2k overloads then will cost you (estimating an overload from scratch to cost 60k) 120Mil you've spent a total of 200Mil which is basicallly the same amount you would've spent getting to 99 herblore via extremes and overloads but you have fewer overloads than someone who made them from 92-99 herblore and you've wasted a lot of time. Obviously the maths is hugely inaccurate and terrible but you get the point I hope.
  22. Yeh black demons would go better than WF's and aren't bad charms its just a shame you no longer get a load of effigies with them.
  23. To get herblore to 99 is very expensive far more than I imagine you can afford (judging by your stats) so I wouldn't even think about that for the moment. Runecrafting used to be one of the most challenging 99's as I'm sure you know but Runespan has changed that. I hear Runespan is a quite a nice AFK activity but haven't really been there myself. Farming - good plan to get this to 99 farming can be hugely profitable if you level it up with herbs but than can be very slow. Few people get faming as their first 99 because it has to be done over such a long time. But as you seem like more of a casual player it may suit you as farming doesn't require a long hard griend over a few weeks but a little bit of work everyday about 30-40 minutes if you do everything as often as you can. Crafting is fastish to train and not too expensive if you can be bothered to wait to buy all the battlestaffs having said that it's not particularly useful and will still cost you a fair bit of money. Thieving is one of the fastest free skills to train so could be a viable choice for a first 99. Personally I wouldn't recommend getting a 99 skill for the sake of getting a skill to 99. A player with the same amount of experience spread across 10 level 90 skills has usually got a much better account than someone with 3 or 4 level 99's. Train skills for their benefits not for some e-peen. About the only skill I would go for as a 99 is Slayer considering the host of benefits it will bring you along the way but very few people get Slayer as their first 99. If you do really want to challenge yourself go and get 99 Agility.
