I'm always curious as to how the older players got into RS - I'm 18 now but started when I was 11 at this kinda age people talked about RS in the playground and we'd all mess around on it together and loads of people got hooked that way..

I've personally just finished my A-levels in the UK and will be going to university this September to study medicine - I'm looking forward to it enormously. My situation in studying medicine is very different from my friends, I require a medical degree to practice and my prospects of employment post degree are secured (98% employment for medical graduates with only those choosing to leave the field of medicine or take time off limiting that being 100%). On the other hand I look at my friends around me and I would say only half will gain anything by going to university. Many are studying subjects which they are uninterested in and will not help them especially in the career's they wish to follow. So why do they go? Because in the UK university is touted as the funnest period in your life and indeed friends of mine who are going to noncompetitive universities seem to be out on the town every other night - no one wants to voluntarily miss out on three years of sex, dancing, drinking and friendship and simply don't believe they'll get the same quantities of these outside of university. Also the amount of employers requiring a degree, simply a degree of any level from any university before considering any applicant is high. A massive problem in the UK which has led to a cheapening of degrees in our country and a two-tier system where if you attend a Russel group university (our Ivy League) your degree is considered far superior to those who did not attend one. tl;dr - Medicine, Engineering etc.. go to university. If you're interested in History go to a good university and study it if you're stupid don't go to university to do a crap course.

78 Days gameplay with 78.4 million total experience. A lot of my gameplay was in castle wars and barbarian assault however. I have played 794 castle wars games to date equating to almost 14 days gameplay (I think :S) this is something I probably do regret slightly seeing as if this time had been spent training I'd be rather more high levelled than I am now. Still my gameplay is over 7 years so its not too addicted sounding in my opinion. I was talking to someone in HYT the other day however whom it transpired had a gameplay time equivalent to playing 4 hours a day since he had joined 2 or so years ago.

I have mixed feelings about the medal table and personally think it should be done on a system of 3 points for a Gold, 2 for a Silver and 1 for a Bronze - simply total medal count is as unrepresentative as doing it by only Gold Medals in my opinion.

I shower every morning basically and sometimes jump in the shower again at the gym or after a long run or something. I'm a bit obsessed with my hair and use Toni&Guy shampoo, conditioner and wax pretty much everyday. I get pretty lazy with shaving so usually have some stubble but its not a purposeful look. I'm slightly obsessed with having nice smelling breath and almost always have softmints or chewing gum in my pockets and I always use mouthwash. My excercising is fairly erratic I'm generally quite fit and sometimes I'll be running 30+ miles a week, sprinting 2km on the rowing machine or out on the river, hill-walking and playing Rugby all in the same week other times I get lazy like now and run every other day and do a few push ups but apart from that nothing.
