  1. Lol I was just wondering, Im in no position to judge anyone for how they spend their time and geepees. Good luck on your goal!
  2. Grimy's spreadsheets put the death rate at 15%. So you'd be looking at a 15% increase in cost (although due to luck this could 5% or 25%) (65*.15)+65=74.75 mil. To reach the point where payments would be worth it the death rate would need to be over 53% to reach the 35 mil difference between the two costs. In other words you would need to have the worlds worst luck. My question is what's the rush? You've unlocked everything the skill has to offer already. Better to farm snaps or torstol and make bank getting to 99 eventually whilst you achieve other things. Edit Wtf...what are you talking about fruit trees exp being based off of half a days work? Trees take longer than 8 hours to grow, so even if you're awake for 16 hours straight your not consistently going to be able to plant and gain the exp for 12 trees every day. And why bring a scroll of cleansing up? Its not relevent at all, its used for making unf pots....
  3. What? There's a new skill?! That's right folks and with it came the most deadly weapons known to runescape nerds everywhere (myself included :))! Two of these weapons, the Chaotic Rapier and Chaotic Maul, are worth owning and can be yours right now for the low low price of 200 k dungeoneering tokens! But wait! There's MOAR! Order now and you'll receive exclusive access to resource dungeons across the world, filled with everything from a place to cannon hellhounds on slayer tasks to ranarr herb spawns! Call within the next ten minutes and all of these places will be included in your order ABSOLUTELY FREE! But seriously all that stuff is true and the best way to catch up is to read the archived recent news articles. :) welcome back!
  4. Well you don't really "train" for hp. You train melee/range/mage and hp lvls just happen. By that logic you're looking at the fastest exp for those three categories (and therefore the fastest hp exp) which would be... Melee : Armoured zombies with void+deflector+barrows gloves/salve(e)/chaotic rapier/berserker ring(i)/fire cape/dragon boots. Or LRC with basically the same set up except you need prayer potions due to the lack of an alter. (~70-110 k melee exp/our) Lastly dhoraking ape atoll monkey zombies using a CR for finishing blows is the fastest melee exp in game from what I've heard. (100-140 k melee exp/hr) Range : Chinning at ape atoll monkey zombies tunnel with void+delector+ACP, highest range boost for each slot except for cape for a SW cape and rigour. (~340 k range exp/hr) Mage : Barraging in the same place as mentioned for chinning. Not sure on the exp/hr but I've heard ~300 k. Alternatively if you're going to burn money on barraging you should do rock lobsters for less exp and lots of charms.
  5. As far as the fire giants being weak to water spells I think the confusion comes partly from pearl bolts e. The spec hits harder and more often on firey mobs. Seeing as you're looking for mage exp from the hati gloves though go with fire blast, higher base casting exp and if it splashes more it means you'll not waste exp on constitution. But you know that the magic exp bonus isn't only for combat spells right?
  6. Farm herbs every 1.5 hours, 7 runs a day at ~100 k profit per run (this is a low estimate) is at least 4.9 mil in a week. MTK is the. Opposite of a money sink. Herbs and coal make ~1 mil profit a week. Dailies are about 1 mil profit a day. All of those total per day take ~1.5 hours. That's 13 mil for your week, combine that with any mediocre money maker and you have your extra 2 mil to hit the 15 mark.
  7. Most estimates with a tort provided you have maxed melee or maxed range are between 1.3-2.0 mil per hour. Use a cannon for sure, and yes a yak would help a lot for profit. Im fairly certain though that its still worth going without one until you get one. The other two questions I wont pretend to know the answer to.
  8. http://forum.tip.it/topic/281681-herblore-habitat/page__pid__4688289__st__40#entry4688289 Hands down the only resource you'll need for doing anything in herblore habitat. Other options which are on par exp wise are red sallys, falconry with bonecrusher/mousekeys, and penguins (not the D&D, hunting them). However herblore habitat is much more recommended due to the other benefits, namely getting the seeds for juju potions. Scentless potions req 71 farming to get the herbs and 59 herblore for making the potion. For woodcutting ivy is the way to go if you like to semiafk. Its fast and although it technically makes no money wearing a strung rabbits foot for nest drops increase will add profit. Additionally add a couple magpie pouches with a summoning potion and a gem bag for another few thousand geepees for no effort (put the gems you get from foraging in the bad to keep from having to bank as often).
  9. Smoking Kills requires 85 combat to do. As slayer is much faster with a full slayer helm and the reward points to skip/block tasks I recommend training combat to 85 before continuing slayer First on your priorities should probably 70 prayer and kings ransom for piety + the few combat levels 18 prayer levels will get you. To make additional money, which you will need to get the most efficient methods of slaying throw in herb runs every ~1.5 hours between tasks. If you arent at the level for toadflax you can quest almost the entire way there to ~lvl 35. To maximize farming profit get a scroll of life and farming jujus as soon as you can (don't stress too much about jujus if you don't have the reqs, their usefullness is not as profound on herbs that arent ranarr/snaps/torstol). As I anxiously await Q's infamous slayer post ill add that getting 60 attack for dragon equipment is huge, get the combination of 130 total str and attack and work on getting your defenders. Then once you've hit 70 str with your dragon scimmy get 70 attack for a whip. short version, Farm herbs for money get 70 prayer and finish kings ransom get 60 att for dragon equipment get dragon defender get 70 strength get 70 attack for a whip At whatever point training your att and str gets you 85 combat do smoking skills.
  10. or instead grab an obby cape until you get a fire cape. Edit, ardy capes. Pray bonus and stab bonus till you get a fire cape/soulwars cape.
  11. Which has what to do with him killing cave crawlers?
  12. Close, not maxed players will be more accurate with a cls than a rapier on monsters with higher defense. Get a rapier because a)training monsters don't have high def so you wil max faster with a rapier. b)once you're maxed you wont want to have to go get 200 k tokens again.

Best estimates I've heard pre turmoil/ovlds/yak are 1.5-2 mil an hour with a cannon and tort. So still worth doing.
  14. Rapier, maul isn't worth it if you're only going to use it for wfs. Besides the fact that ss will still be adequate for killing them.
  15. yay! glad to help. good luck
  16. Im slightly nervous that that was sarcasm....
  17. /facepalm I can't tell if he's serious or just trolling... ill edit this later with a vid I saw of someone steel titaning (its now officially a word) at arma and you can decide if it looks better than what you currently do. Edit
  18. Don't bother waiting, once you've done all quests there's no point in staying f2p. All skills can be trained more quickly on members and money is sooo much easier to make. The best F2P method for money is what, telegrabbing wines of zamorak at 250 k/ hr with no competition? White berry spawn picking is double that.
  19. I put in a movie and split the screen so I can see both, hurts the exp/hr but you really only need to look up every few min. Do other things like farming runs or a dungeon or two every 1.5 hours in the case of farming, or whenever you need to for dg. Good luck on your goal!
  20. jagex sucks at metagaming :P exactly, they thought (just like every other update), that they would actually be used to great extent. Only a few times have they been right (like herblore habitat) Um, except for the farming potions, how particularly useful are the rest? Particularly, say, the wc/mining potion. /Offtopic. I assume you arent talking about scentless potions which help bring in an additional 500 k/hr at grenwalls? The ones that boost exp from the God jadinkos are used. The mining ones I've seen used before and for people at concentrated gold/teaks or mahogany the mining and wc ones are mildly useful. I never fish so I have no clue about the baron shark one.
  21. Best time to buy? After you have turmoil and extremes. Bandos is a luxary not a necessity, its value in the long run will always be going down whereas skills will stay forever. Once you have said skills and cash to burn then invest in bandos. Things to get before bandos Extremes, Turmoil, berserker ring, dragon boots, full slayer helm, a chaotic rapier, fury, fire cape. (Not necessarily in that order). Unless of course you're getting them for asthetics or "fun". Then get them now.
  22. 60-90% of the trips, I can do all the 5 regular patches + the jungle patches. It is quite possible (Though, it depends a bit on harvest, and if you fail a lot or not when climbing the vine to the island.) Or to be safe you can just not do the one across the island. And don't hunt draconic for seeds, hunt carrion. Common jadinkos have the same drop rate as draconic and they both are worse than carrion.
  23. The agility pyramid is horrible experience and cash. First, use an efficient agility course. For money, just bring 6 or 7 magpie pouches (you can probably do quite a few more with a gem bag) and 2 summoning potions if there's not a nearby obelisk. I made more than 10m getting 99 agility using magpies. +1
  24. 95 prayer. If you choose to go the herblore route you only need 91 for ovlds. Skills > gear. Skills will always be there for you, your gear can be lost and depreciates in value over time. And I say do herb runs every day for $ for 95 prayer, in between runs train dg. Not getting a rapier is silly. This is what Im doing right now and Im about on pace for have 95 pray about the time I hit 70 dg.
