  1. Got those over the last 3 days or so. Should be 96 by tomorrow night if all goes well. 584 k exp to go. Makes me think of team fortress 2. @everyone else, I've never played BA but would actually like to learn if anyone wants to go with me for reals.
  2. Hunter : big chinchompa dnd, highest level lizard you can hunt. Mining : warbands Smithing : warbands, or artisans workshop if you ever realistically plan on comping/trimming. Crafting : is going to be expensive, battlestaffs are probably the most economical but will take a while to buy them (600/day from G.E. + 28-100 from naff/moonclan depending on varrock tasks). Cutting gemstones and dragonhide shields are really the only other options. Thieving : Blackjacking or PP.
  3. Hmm good to know, thanks Q Okay, so combat is using basic abilities to use threshold abilities and repeat, and it doesn't particularly matter what abilities you use? I understand for when you feel lazy there is an ability called Momentum. How does this work? In fact, how does calculating the new combat hits work? Say, does doing an auto attack without momentum do 20% of your damage, 80% of your damage with momentum, and the advertised % for an ability? How do you calculate this %? You have your basics and the goal is basically to always be using an ability, which simplistically means you use your 3s cooldown basic in between all of your other basics. Momentum isn't all that great for anything but barraging and chinning. I'm not an expert by any means in how damage is calculated so I'll leave that to more educated people, but you will always almost always be doing more damage with abilities. Ah, so weaknesses are actually important (up to a point) now? That's pretty cool. Normal Weapons don't affect accuracy (as opposed to off-hand)? Weaknesses kinda matter. Basically you can ignore subcategories once you get t7 weapons (i.e. you can use a crossbow on something that's weak to arrows) and be fine. Once you get to t8 you can ignore most weaknesses with the exception of ganodermic creatures, ascension mobs and a couple other high level monsters (Automatons come to mind). Once you hit t9 weakness does not matter in any major fashion except for gano and ascension. For accuracy offhands only matter on auto attacks or in other words when using abilities it only takes the accuracy of your mainhand weapon into account, hence its much more important to upgrade that as soon as you can. How important is Accuracy now as opposed to some kind of strength bonus/max hit modifier, if such a thing exists now? And extremes/overloads/turmoil worth using if meleeing? I don't think I have the funds to start barraging every task when I got back into it @.@ Most of accuracy is tied to weapon tier with a small portion coming from your attack/magic/range level respectively for the style you're using. Weapon damage is mostly the same, the difference between 1 and 99 strength very minimal in terms of extra damage. It is worth using turmoil and at least extremes for everything. Back in the day I used to do Bandos, Armadyl and Zamorak mostly, as it was fun and not too difficult. Soul split is actually the way to go now? Wow, we must have gotten some crazy defensive boosts. I'd be looking for some setups and recommended strategies for those if that's okay =) I really am not an expert in bossing. I haven't been since the accuracy tweaks so my info would be outdated. For instance last time I went to arma I could afk with soul split and penance with t8 weapon and t7 power armor. Now apparently kree hits like a truck and you need at least t8 to survive if not t8.5. I would start a new topic asking for specific boss help and the better pvmers would be able to answer. Or you could always pm one of the tmht members for advice. Wow! Dungeoneering tasks. That's awesome. Did things change that much in Dungeoneering? I remember Surgebox being touted as the best ammo bind if you wern't trying to do speed floors (5 suiciders).. Yes things changed that much. I also remember Mysterious Shades being weak to slash. Did they change dungeoneering weaknesses as well, or is my memory failing me? @.@ They changed shades weaknesses with eoc. What's this Hardmode you're speaking of? Reward for completing all the dg tasks. Makes most mobs their max level, every door is a GD, bosses are their max level and drop primal/prom 80/20% of the time respectively. There's also a lot more pot doors. Generally not worth doing outside of hunting for boss drops and ofc doing all 60 floors hardmode is a trim req I believe for completionists. Thank you!
  4. Does anyone want to do BA with me? I want to get enough bonus exp to last to 99 fm as well as 99 agility before they nerf it.
  5. BRB getting bonus exp to last to 99 agil and fm because I'm a noob and want it as fast as possible.
  6. *Goes out to buy my own ice cream in preparation for post surgery cravings* Lemon flavoured gelato. Yum. Also I'm 300 k ish away from 95 thieving now so hurray! Post surgery I should get 99 within a day or two because it's all I'm going to be doing. EDIT 118 k till 95. I will get tomorrow. Also 40 mil cash stack and 50 mil bank. Almost back up to drygore mainhand.
  7. The way I went through DT fights was this 1. All Special Fights, the chicken one was the hardest, even with t9 weapons superior DL. The rest were cake. 2. Endurance mode to get the Do No Evil Monkeys and any other of the Class A bosses that happened to come up while doing it, carrying runes for doing Dagannoth Mother 2 until I had killed her once and then quitting if I got her and drygoring every other boss from that point forward. Do No Evil monkeys aren't fun if you get them with 10+ handicaps in climber. 3. Climber mode for all the other achievements, getting to floor 10+ was normally enough DF to get at least 1 page for the journal and was super easy to get to with drygores. For endurance I would have the ice gloves, and a super antifire in my inventory just in case. I hadn't done the Dill quest when I did it so I never had to deal with that boss but you'll probably want a pickaxe for it if you get it (the one provided is iron I think?). The rest was 2 super restores, an empty inventory space in case I needed to pick up something (catalytic runes, stake/hammer for dracula etc) and the rest rocktails but sharks or even monks would do fine. With most bosses soul split is more than enough to sustain you, including Nomad and I tanked every attack he had, only eating to get to full LP for his LP-1 attack. For climber you can get your boss and then hit "hold on" and bank to adjust to any boss fight you want. If you are using void and get the no chestplate handicap bank at this point and switch to stronger armor. Here's a 15 min video if you have time to kill and want a lot more detailed information of how to do everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrBsIvuajSM
  8. fdasFRAHRER#!$TGFdavjhsdahfo4i!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Calmly* Yes and I am quite excited about it. I'm getting my tonsils out on Friday so I will have lots of time to scape and all day Saturday to think about and be excited for the special :)
  9. Definitely adding that in there, construction needs things that are useful :) we could also make the chests that are in game stay the way there are and remove the teleport mechanic as well as increase the loot and decrease the time between respawns and add the house chest idea that I typed up to PoH of your friends. I'll toy around with that idea some more... And thanks! I'm hoping to get within 300 k of 95 thieving tonight.
  10. wrong forum About the guide : Way too much time spent on the screen that says I need gold bars. On top of that making gold bars into necklaces is terrible for both crafting experience and also for money. You'll make 1 necklace every 1.8 seconds (seemed like 3 ticks to me, I didn't make the vid quality better than the default) which means you do an inventory in 50.4 seconds for 560 xp and 2.5 k cash. Lets say its close to 30 seconds for banking plus the odd extra tick for an even 1:21 per inventory you can get 44.44 repeating inventories done in an hour for less than 25 k xp/hr and a little over 110 k cash per hour. For F2P this might be worth doing, idk, I haven't played f2p in 8 years. For members though this is probably one of the bottom 3 ways to make money and/or get craft exp. EDIT But if you find this fun I encourage you to continue doing it because this is a game and that's what games are for.
  11. Imageshack is not letting me log in so I can't post it yet but I got 81 construction and I will be getting 94 thieving tonight. In real life I'm working on getting back into rock climbing. I used to do it all the time in college and it fell to the wayside amidst my life falling to pieces over the last year but now that I'm healthy and making good money again its time to start getting back into it. I'm on track for getting 99 thieving by December 7th :)
  12. Would think the only way they could trace who 'lost out' is by ascertaining who actually paid for the spins, as opposed to getting the Fallen Stars from the usual 3 spins I bought spins during the fallen star deal and never ran into not being able to claim exp from them (claimed close to 250 k bonus exp by the time it was done plus 4 pieces of the outfit). I just logged in and have no additional spins. This is the first i've heard of people having issues claiming their exp.
  13. Thanks! The plan is to propose sometime in January on our anniversary. Scape-wise I've just been working on thieving with traders (565 k till 94). I'm saving all the loot from the pickpockets until I hit 99. So far it seems like its about 350-400 k profit per hour and 230 k exp/hr, not to mention much more relaxing than plundering. If my estimates are correct I'll have 99 in 24 days or less and will have made 8.5ish mil when I sell the seeds, ores, and bars. Ideas of ways to make thieving more desirable. Right now my biggest quandry with the skill is that a skilled thief should be able to make a living off of his/her skill. Unfortunately you can only make 500 k/hr at best with the skill as is (unless there's some secret method out there that I am unaware of). My list of ideas... 1. Chests. Currently we have a number of chests to thieve from but frankly all of their rewards stink and the recharge rate on the higher level ones means it's never worth it to steal from them. Make chests into a thieving DnD where you have to break into the home, avoid detection, get to the chest and pick the lock. The reward should be generous thieving exp (10 k exp or so for the highest level chest) and a large amount of reward (random items that have a g.e. value increasing as you go up in level until around 2 million in price worth of items for the highest level chest). To balance it you may only thieve from 1 chest per week (so you would only want to steal from your highest level chest). This would make it about on par with MTK in terms of money making and it introduces items into the game rather than cash so it doesn't add to inflation. You only get 3 attempts at getting to the chest before the owners station guards next to the chest making it impossible to steal from until the weekly reset. 2. Heists. Similar to chests except for it occurs in castles (all chests take place in houses), they take far longer to complete (10-15 minutes) and the rewards are much better, as well as only have one attempt per month (similar to troll invasion). The rewards would be exp equal to 1.5x a Huge lamp in EITHER thieving or agility and a maximum of 5 mil worth cash and in g.e. price of items. These will be completed in 4 stages with each stage securing an exp reward equal to 1.5x a small, medium, large and huge lamp respectively so that you will get a certain amount of exp for participating but you must succeed until the very end to get the items/cash. 3. Ring of Wealth affecting pick-pocketing. Very straightforward, wearing the ring of wealth adds a %chance to double/triple/quadruple (I'm thinking 12/6/3 respectively) the amount of loot that you get from the npc you are pick-pocketing that stacks with the agility chance at 2x/3x/4x loot. (EDIT It would stack multiplicitively so if you had a 12% chance from agility and 12% chance from row it would end up being a 25.44% chance instead of a flat 24%. Rounded down it would be an equal 1/4 chance of double loot [assuming that it is a 12% chance from agility which I have never tested and can't find anywhere.] 4. Assassins Creed interface. Ports has a great interface for sending out voyages, so what I would love to see is a quest about the thieves guild that ends with you running the joint. The result is that you can send out individual thieves or groups to pull of heists and receive loot at the end of each day from them if they succeed or not. Customizable options could include whether you want the theives to focus on taking anything of value as they see it (filling up their packs faster and lessening their odds of getting caught) or focus on finding a large more worthwhile prize (which takes longer and has a higher chance of getting caught). The former would be more guarenteed smaller profit while the latter would be more cash with the risk of not getting anything and having your thieves placed in jail if they get caught. Thieves in jail can have their bail posted or can wait out their sentence depending on what they were caught stealing (getting caught with a large valuable item could be jail time of up to a week, while the smaller items could be as low as 12 hours). Thats all I can be asked to type up for right now but those are my biggest ideas that I think could work in the game.
  14. Thanks Aiel. That's what i was looking for.
  15. With the crit bonus on cclaws how much close to drygore oh would it be in terms of dps?
  16. Got my quest cape! From finishing this Thanks last lamp from lumby rebuilding! Then I got a medium prayer lamp from the SoF so I got 97 pray: Also IRLscape related I picked the engagement ring that I am going to be proposing with :)
  17. Kinda went nuts questing today... And finally... Which got me : Too much scape today. Tomorrow I'll be on to maybe do herb runs and I'll get my last quest (Tzharr one about the Dill's) done on Monday along with my imcando pickaxe.
  18. So win, much questing, very rewards... [hide] [/hide] And accidentally got this from Elemental Workshop 2 And yesterday I managed to nab this for my level 80 skill base That leaves me with 17 more levels to go until 2400 total. I should get 97 prayer by accident soon (17 k til level) and then once I get my quest cape I'll get 91 agility from finishing fremmy elite (still need an agile top) and then 99 thieving will be my next goal.
  19. Nothing was supposed to be random about them. You get a daily and a weekly token from the challenges guy every day this week for a total of 7 daily and 7 weekly tokens to be redeemed whenever you want.
  20. Given that Div isn't my lowest skill anymore I'm probably going to be using my weekly tokens on circus (160 k mage & range exp, 80 k agility, 320 k fm, and 110 k thieving exp vs 270 agility OR 246 k divination exp). What daily DnD's are even worth doing? I'm 99 hunt so big chinchompa is out. Shooting stars stink. Fish Flingers I'm not interested in having gotten my outfit and not needing to level fishing for anything anymore. The Pit (lol). So pheonix lair, sinkholes, and evil tree which is the most useful?
  21. If you know how to make good legal AHK scripts or have a friend that can for you you can always put in offers for the various colored feathers and coifs to craft feather headdresses. With the script Stev was kind enough to make for me I averaged 400 k + exp/hr, just takes a while to buy the feathers but its much cheaper than dragonstones or dhide. If you've got 2 months to work on warbanding mining you should be able to buy enough to get you there.
