Grog needs all sorts of help =\
Yeah and believe it or not, 3.3k overloads don't end up lasting that long when you are big on PvM.

So earlier i decided to do a Saradomin Solo. Haven't ever tried a Melee solo and i think it went off pretty well. Too bad the loot was utter junk. Managed to get 9 kills. Last kill was pretty nerve wrecking as i only had 3/4 brew left + uni. Halfway through the kill my brew was finished and my uni spec was empty. Just my luck, the overload wears off. Luckily i had a good claw spec and 2 decent hits to finish her off. Any ideas how i can improve on this? Rapier doesnt hit as often as i would like to but i can't justify getting a CLS for something i do every once in a blue moon. Would using a Defender be better? Also, Slash or Stab?

So yesterday me and Charlie/Blind went on a little Bandos duo. Internet hated us both cause we both lagged out a few kills appart. Blind laggs out and i think the second kill after he logged back in this happens: And today has been quite a busy day for me: I have been putting off 96 Prayer for so long. Thought the game would lose a lot of fun once i hit 138 cb. Oh well i guess it had to happen sooner or later. Hoping to get the 99s in about a month or two. I'm in no rush at all.

Profitable herb farming.
Thanks guys. Guess its back to snaps :\ Pitty that something like this is ruined by yet another unneeded update.

Profitable herb farming.
I'm guessing they're all going to profit more or less the same?

Profitable herb farming.
Well seeing as Torstol has pretty much become a risky money maker, could anyone suggest an alternative herb for profit? I don't really know what any of the other herbs/seeds buy/sell for on the G E so if anyone could help me out here a bit i'd appreciate it a lot.

The Style Thread
I use clearsil. They have a large range of products for any skin type (dry, oily, etc.) I struggle with bad skin and it's helped me a lot after about a week or two of use.

If they made a Runescape movie featuring your Character
Johnny Depp no doubt.

GF [cabbage] game
Haha this is such a lame joke it actually made me laugh. As for OP. A game is what you make of it. Even the simplist of games like checkers can be fun, if you make it fun. Too bad you never had the creativity to make it fun.

I find that pretty sad to be honest. I know a guy who also recently got "hacked" and lost well over 5 years' worth of "work". I haven't seen him online since that day and according to one of his RL friends he had a mental breakdown and didn't talk for a few days and even went as far as not showing up for school. There was also mention of him not eating for a day or two. I didn't know whether to laugh or feel pitty. I understand that it takes a lot of time to get to where some players are but if you're going to have a mental breakdown over a game then it isn't a game anymore. Then it becomes a job/life/addiction. Still, working on something for 5 years is definitely taking it too far to just call it a "game" don't you think? I wouldn't say addiction, but more like ambition. Nope. It's still a game whether you play 1 hour a year or 15 hours a day. And if your abmitions lay in a game then your priorities aren't where they should be. Then again, it is possible to have more than 1 ambition. Go to South Korea. "E-sports" are not very popular in most countries, but there are places where games are important in life. There is nothing wrong with prioritizing a game. Lol okay now this is becoming a joke. You're seriously going to use a country such as South Korea to back your statement? I'm sorry, but i find it VERY hard to take that seriously.

An "inside job" ?
I don't think it was an inside job. The thought of it kind of makes me laugh, i'll be honest. I just think a few players (like mentioned before in this thread) went to the boss it could most likely have the biggest affect on. I myself was all ready and prepped up to go corping soon as i saw the 10 minute update timer pop up. So if i could have thought of that surely thousands of other players could too. And i think as soon as the first 2 sigils were dropped in a short ammount of time the word spread like virgin buttcheecks in a prison. And it really only takes 5 minutes before a hundred thousand people know of it. Sure, it might have been a rather silly error by Jagex but they do deal with a very demanding client base (by that i mean us, the players). Imagine the chaos if Jagex had postponed the update for a bit more testing instead of rather releasing it and fixing whatever was wrong later. Chaos, Hell, Judgement Day.

I'll admit it was a very bad comparison, however theirs not really any other analogies I could think of to apply something similar, because there isn't really a similarity to "virtual goods" in the "real world". Anywho, my point was more along the lines of "the customer not being able to sue the insurance company, if a car company tells a customer they refuse to replace a stolen rental car". The car company could say "we wont replace anyone's rented car if it's stolen. This is to prevent against drivers fake-stealing cars to profit, which makes our company lose money". The car company would have the right to terminate the lease, tell you to go away, and not replace your car if it's stolen. More or less, I know it's not the best example, but I think you get the point I'm trying to make; it's never your car and you never have the legal right to get one replaced if it's stolen. (Unless its in your contract, which it's not in this case). Ah alright i see what you mean now. If this was a "rent to own" situation (which it isn't), then further steps could have been taken. But seeing as it isn't, there's nothing the person renting the "item" can do. Anyway, i have to say i am fully behind Jagex on this. It is stated in the rules that giving out personal information to other players is against the rules as this could endanger your account. So if they were able to get the "victim's" recovery answers (assuming there weren't easy to guess answers) using Facebook/Twitter/Youtube she already kind of broke the rules. Only way to know a Runescaper's Facebook account is by knowing her actuall name thus breaking the "personal information rule", or am i wrong? Also i think from now on more players might be a bit more weary about posting videos (more specifically bank videos) on sites like Youtube as this could be a possible way to get your hands on some personal information (i'm not sure on this point as i haven't got a YT account myself). All in all i think Jagex is covering their asses pretty well and handeling the situation the best way possible keeping the majority happy (or atleast not upsetting them).

I acknowledge your points and I have no answer in those cases. However, in this case - and I quote Mod Mark H - "As soon as we became aware of the situation we acted quickly banning the hijacker's accounts as well as removing any items & wealth stolen. " - which means they had the information they needed to return the items. There would be no duping in this case. But instead of returning them, they removed them forever. If Mod Mark H had hidden behind "terms of service" then that would be different. But he didn't - he wrapped himself in the code of law. The victim in question should have recourse to recover those items from Jagex if Jagex is going to use that same law to seize them from the hijacker. Items taken as a result of hacking can't be stolen when it is convenient for Jagex and not stolen when it isn't. I agree completely. If Jagex doesn't reconsider, I think that Chessy018 should sue Jagex over this. .... What? Stop right there. http://www.runescape.com/rules/rule_real_world_trading.ws Jagex Rules & Conditions > RWT > Section 3 While that section describes RWT, it also applies to any items in general. ANYTHING on your account (items, xp, time, ect..) belongs to Jagex. Just because you spend 100 hours of your personal time to buy items with other virtual items does not mean your "time" gives you rights to those items. So the point is, the Hats were, and always are, property of Jagex and not the player. You are simply renting them. If a rented car is stolen, does the insurance company reimburse you for any damages to the car? No. They would reimburse the car company. In this scenario Jagex is both the insurance company and the car company. You (as the consumer) can't sue the insurance company for not giving you money for a rented car.. You are simply out of luck with the old car, and have to work to rent a new one. Actually, in a case such as you mentioned (im referring to the car rental scenario) the car company (which you said would be Jagex, in this case) would have to give you the option of another car, would they not?. Of course your monthly rental rate will remain as it was before the hijacking of the car you previously used but the point remains that you will infact recieve another car of the same class as the previous one, at the same cost. So if you're going to use that as an arguement would it not be fair to say that the car rental company (Jagex), should give the hijacked account a new "car"? Please Note: I'm simply asking a question, not trying to spark a flame or cause any trolling.

(Late reply) Wouldn't we all be a bit pissed to miss out on a chance for bils like that? I know I'm a bit envious. He actually quit not only because of that, but also because Jagex went against their promise to give players their 3 month membership if they took part in that workshop event thing. Iunno.  how is this guy a mod? I question that quite often. @Nox, WELL; you were smithing arrowheads while having the bar attatched to a bunch of headless arrorshafts of which turned into engraved arrowheads from crafting/smithing because your just that bad ass. Actually no. First i fletched an Addy Bolt, then i Crafted a Dragonhide Body and last i Smithed a Addy Platebody. But i like your story too.

(Late reply) Wouldn't we all be a bit pissed to miss out on a chance for bils like that? I know I'm a bit envious. Well yeah i will admit i'm a bit jelous (as far as jelousy in game terms go). A quick and easy bill like that could have saved me a lot of time in the future but i'm not gonna be a pissy brat about it and flame Jagex for an error they made. And i'm sure not a lot of us would either?

End of an Era... probably...
Because browing the interwebz while you should be scaping isn't efficient. Anyway back OT. Jagex will never "cross the line" for me because i (and i'm sure many others think this way) know that Jagex is a company just like any other. Their main aim is to profit. Sure they have to keep their customers happy while doing so but lets face it, it's going to take more than a few silly updates before a large group of people decide to quit. It's all about keeping the majority satisfied and thus far that's exactly what they have been doing. Why no rollback after yesterday's disaster? Easy answer. 200 People got sigils they should not have. 5000 people complained about this yet only 10 threatened to quit if there was no rollback. However 200 threatened to quit if there was infact a rollback. Hmmm thats the loss of 10 memberships over 200. Logic should tell you why there was no rollback. Also i do kind of find it funny how people make a big deal when a "famous" RS player decides to quit. Like said, he's a player just like you and me.

Aviansies Help?
Sound advice ^ Best way to kill them would be as follows: Monk Robes Robin/Armadyl Helm/Archer Helm Ranger/Snakeskin Boots Barrows Gloves (Or best RFD Gloves), otherwise Vambs Fury/Ranging Amulet Accumulator/SW Cape Unholy (Zamorak) Book Rune Xbow/Black Knives Adamant/Broad bolts Never ever, ever use the Eyrie for Aviansies. People who do that are just plain Stupid. The levels in there are too high for efficient killing. Take some Alch Runes, 2 or 3 Ranging potions and Prayer Potions. Range Pray + 5% Ranged and you're off. Prayer methos is by far the best option for Aviansies. It allows you to focus on a much more offensive Setup (in all aspects aside from the Monk Robes) and puts no focus on Defense which will always lower your Attack bonus. The idea is to have the Aviansies aggressive which means you have much less running around to do to kill them. Like Bladewing said though, it's pretty much a botfest down there now so it might be a bit annoying. As far as bad money/exp goes. Its not great but it is decent. With maxed stats/gear you;re looking at 70k exp/h(maybe more seeing as i havent tried it out with rigour + ccbow yet). It used to be close to 1.2m gp/h but with current prices im not too sure.

So what do i do now?
Hi Guys. Well when it comes to the Runescape Marker/Grand Exchance i'm pretty much stupid. I fail at reading the patens and making good judgements according to the changes. So i need some help. With the recent BXP Weekend most of the prices of the skills i was busy getting to 99 have gone all [rooster]-eyed (Smithing with Addy Bars, Crafting with Blue Dragon Leathers and Fletching with Addy Bolts). I was planning on also getting my Prayer up to 99 via Front Dragon Bones (which i was collecting myself) and i was in the process of getting my Farming up from 89 via Torstol Herb Runs (until i felt it was time to start doing trees again). Now with the update of the Ring of Wealth i've noticed quite a few new drops that might affect two of these skills, Farming and Fletching. I've seen Torstol herbs being dropped in large amounts and Adamant bolts the same. I am yet to hear of Adamant bars or Blue Dragon Hides/Leathers to drop in a large amount but lets face it, anything is now possible as we have not seen ALL the new drops yet. I've never been someone to care too much about losing money when it comes to Skilling but i'm not keen on losing more than i have to.I basically had enough money to get 99 Fletching, Smithing and Crafting and then have 20m - 30m left over afterwards but after the past week i've been fearing that i might now have upto almost 50m to little (i'll still have to do the math to make sure though). Now with the updates come the fear that Torstol Farming might not be the profit it once was, Addy Bolts might not be as cheap as it once was and if there are any monsters that drop either Blue Dragon Leathers or Adamant Bars in a larger amount that any other used to that i might lose a ton on the supplies i already had banked, making me lose more than i budgeted for. I was counting on Torstol farming to make enough profit on my way to 99 Smithing/Crafting/Fletching that if infact i was short on my initial estimate that the profits from the Farming would cover the rest of the cost but now i fear i can no longer rely on that either. I know that there are many other (most others) that understand the market and its trends a lot better than i do so i now put myself at your mercy asking you for advice on what to do or how to continue. Should i continue the same way i have been for the last 4 - 5 weeks and just buy supplies, sell the end product, rebuy supplies? Will the prices of any of the material i was using before actually drop so much that the skill will become more expencive that they already were? And what do i do when it comes to Prayer? My current plan was this: Do a Bandos/TDs trip once i get onto Runescape. If i was lucky with a drop i'd sell it and put it straight into Frost Bones. Spend an hour or two getting 100k - 150k exp in each of Smithing, Crafting and Fletching then move on to either an hour or two at frosts or do another Bandos/TDs trip. While doing 4 - 5 Torstol her runs a day. This basically ensured a constant income and a stable exp rate which i was happy with. So to recap, what's going to happen to my skilling? How should i go about making money for Prayer, Smithing, Crafting and Fletching if infact things do start crashing? Thanks in advance! PS: Sorry for the very confusing manner in which this post is written. It seems that as soon as i need to start explaining things in English my English skills take a dive.

Immaturity truely is the essence of Runescape. I kind of think it's petty of hit to quit over such a stupid reason. Sure, 100 new Spirit Shield entered the game within a few minutes of the update and made his divine crash under a Bil for a few hours. From what i've seen/heard its already headed back up to what it was. I think he's just pissed of that he missed it and couldn't take advantage of it himself.
