  1. Sent in my application :D after much thought I do think I'm ready for the responsibility after all
  2. True :D and nice attack xp SirHemen! Thanks for the rates and comments everyone ^_^
  3. Today, 10th of November (NZ time), I achieved 100M attack XP! Right on the dot too :) Here's to 100M more! ^_^
  4. I do believe there must be something sinister going on in terms of some sort of bot sniping thing. Personally, I have tried many times to obtain a fury kit via the g.e. staying up very late and once getting in an offer about 9 seconds after it updated - which I thought was pretty good odds by my standards, and was expecting a fury kit later that day, but even that couldn't get me a fury kit! I blame bots ';....;'
  5. Hmmm I am sort of 50/50 on this as I have always loved helping tipit out with occasional items needed for the item database I.E. dragon (or) armour and other items such as transparentising the backgrounds for potions about a year or two back with cowman, n_odie and other willing tipit members, but at the same time I don't know any coding/html etc. and whether I'd be suitable for the role. When I get on the computer the first two things I do is browse the tipit general forum to see if there are any new topics that interest me, as well as the 'post your screenshots here' sticky, and after that is done, I open up Runescape ready to play. I am honest and willing to learn new things. I am worried real life may get in the way though, in terms of being unable to keep up with adding information for the items database role. I admit I am bad with time pressure, and work best at my own pace. I love working with photoshop though, and I would say I know enough about transparentising images. Is having worries about the responsibility of taking on a role a good thing? :-/ I think the only thing that worries me is the html/coding side of the role. Hmmm
  6. I still would not join, only because I find Runescape MY sort of fun
  7. I'd be happy with even just 104,273,166 slayer xp (level 120 XP wise), so grats to you Toony :)
  8. Haha, I love the way Icy Bones writes :)
  9. Oh was it 4am? Ok then that makes sense, but still a system update message would have been nice, and it's still only 3:10 am over there =l should happen in 50 minutes then. Edit: the main page is back up for me now
  10. Yes at 9am GMT london time on the 4th of November, I checked timeanddate and it's currently 3:04 am GMT london time, 5th of November =l this should have happened yesterday, not today =l Runescape's still not back up for me
  11. Runescape main page still won't even load for me. And wasn't the maintenance yesterday? I don't think it's 9am GMT in london right now. I'm pretty sure that was yesterday. Perhaps a crash? I had to restart my computer o_O
  12. Yeah RS just crashed for me, had to restart comp, runescape still not up for me
  13. Gahhhh I want a 3rd age druidic cloak badly. Too bad they're not selling :( anyone have a rough idea of how hard it is to obtain one via the G.E.? Any people successfully buy one from the G.E. etc?
  14. Hi everyone. I'm not going to bump my charmchompa suggestion on the runescape forums anymore, as I no longer have faith that anything will come of it. You're welcome to support here in tipit however, and I will keep adding names onto this supporters list. Thanks for reading :)
  15. Congrats to Madrat101 for winning the halloween comic strip competition! Now that the competition is over, what entry did you submit? We all wanted to win, but there could only be 1 winner. Mine was inspired by Party Pete and the Bone Brooch holiday item (which is now out) so I thought hmmm, what if Party Pete got his and tried it on? Then I thought well he holds parties all the time, and players are always dropping good stuff from time to time, so I figured a player could be dropping 10k dragon bones just as Party Pete turned into a pile of bones with the halloween item XD I thought it was pretty funny anyway Here was my entry: I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed for not winning and I probably won't continue to enter competitions from now on (from all the competitions I've entered over time :(), but good luck to everyone else and future competitions Jagex hold :) Feel free to post the entry you submitted to them
  16. Hmm I get about 100-150 kills an hour for me per trip (using only p pots with turmoil - and soul split for healing). The last 2 days I've been camping them and obtained 6 whips and 3 or 4 effigies total. Also the drop rate is 1 in 512 (confirmed at runefest). Hope that helps
  17. I don't like going around the houses all the time XD so this is awesome
  18. I see more people maging abby demons these days, although I still think it's more cost efficient (effiency is for another thread - trolls go away please kthx XD) to melee them. Like aspeeder said, the only task worth maging is probably ice strykewyrms. Up to you though
  19. Can't wait :D 22 days to go for meeee  Will probably have to wait a few more days after its release though, so the movie theatres die down a bit. Edit: I agree, although I love 3D movies, unless they're really good movies like Avatar, they're not as 3D as you'd imagine them to be. Also idk about everyone else, but those 3D glasses they give you really strain my eyes and give me a thumping headache after the movie o_O I hope not ALL movies will have to resort to 3D, otherwise I'll go blind, or worse, have my head explode in a cinema :x
  20. Oo that's not good :ohnoes:
  21. I agree with Dan the most here. Too many people talk about the posters and their opinion, rather than the actual topic. There are very few times I bite back, and it's usually because either they get me fired up, or I misunderstand what the person posted. Once I quoted someone in what they said, but turned out it was some other poster. I did apologize and it's in the past now, but I still think of that post today and regret it. At least I do apologize when I am wrong :) I think I misunderstand people sometimes. I'm coping with disagreements more easily these days, but when people make it personal rather than discussing the topic, it makes me feel like not even bothering to post my opinion. It makes me feel like I'm always wrong or, you don't deserve to post etc. and I felt like that last night from a thread. I can use the ignore list, but at the same time it still doesn't make the hurt go away. I just had to say what my previous post meant before (almost 100% certain on this) being flamed for whatever I said next, whether it was said nicely or not, people still love to flame whatever you post. I just have to come to the realization that I should post and ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!! Before the trolls arrive. I guess people are very brave behind their keyboards when they want to, and it's hard to take because when you're being trolled and flamed over and over again for simply stating your opinion, you start to believe those remarks. Then it makes you not want to post, not deal with people, or even start to hate people because of it.
  22. True. It really depends on the person. Like for me, last holiday, double jeopardy, sliding doors and the shawshank redemption will always be my most favourable films of all time, but some (understandably) would think they're too mushy or unworthy of being a 'classic' as such, and I would agree with that. It really depends on what you like. Not to mention I studied the shawshank redemption for english, so I learned about the cinematography, use of symbolism etc. which made it 10x more special <3: I suppose I like those movies because after watching them it really gets me thinking, and some even making me act upon those powerful memories after the film. Prime example buying a 'book of possibilities' from watching last holiday. So for movies that make me think about the film afterwards and act upon them, is probably why I love them so much. Because they effected me IRL. I probably judge a film by this criteria: Is it a slow movie? (as in does it drag on and not go anywhere?) Quality of the plot (does everything make sense? Is it a good story? Is it different?) Are there any life lessons in this film? (this is a major for me, I love films which effect me IRL) Cinematography/Music (does the music match the film? Are the appropriate camera angles used for each scenario?) The shawshank redemption got 10/10 in my books for cinematography and choice of music, relating to each scene. I wish the same could have been said for a part of the prince of persia movie, where it looked like a copy+paste camera cutscene from the game version. Each to everyone's own taste ^_^
