The Abyssal Queen
Thanks for the support! I thought about this, and as much as I would want her to be soloable, I do agree the Abyssal Queen reserves the right to be extremely hard to kill. After all, my main objective is to make her team oriented, and having her summon 3 abyssal minions would make solo'ing that much harder anyway, so I've edited my first post to make it so that she's one monster you don't want to mess with ;-)

The Abyssal Queen
Hmm, normally I would post an idea of what the stats could be, but it usually leads to flaming and disagreements (saying it's overpowered, underpowered etc.) so unfortunately I won't post any stats :-( I will state though, that I would like each armour piece give the player a chance of activating the hidden ability with each hit they make on a monster (like barrows armour). Each armour piece could add a small percentage of activating that ability. For example: Helm = 2% Platebody = 5% Platelegs = 3% Gauntlets = 1% Boots = 1% ---------------- 12% For a total of a 12% chance that with each hit, the ability could activate. This is only an example, however. The ability could be anything from healing, to attacking 1 speed notch faster, lowering the opponents stats, or even poisoning, I'm not sure. Maybe it could be a random effect? Making it count for an Abyssal demon task would be great! I am all for that! I'm not sure on what the max hit, attack style(s), special attack(s), weaknesses, etc. could be, as that may well just be as bad for me as posting what the stats for the Harbinger armour could be. As far as the Abyssal Queen's strength is concerned however, I want her to be extremely powerful (corporeal beast stuff). I also want this to be the first major slayer boss which is more team oriented, so other high levelled slayers could do their abyssal demon task while trying to obtain the rare Harbinger armour with friends/clan mates etc. ^_^ whether it be coinshared or simply making the kills easier for everyone to obtain a piece of her treasured armour. I think this boss would encourage slayers to get together too :-)

The Abyssal Queen
I have had this idea for quite a while now, and I have recently posted this in another topic of what players would like to see in 2011, but I feel it should be posted here as well so that players can get an idea and feel for how epic it would be to have an Abyssal Queen. So here is my idea :-) Requirements: 99 Slayer + access to the 'ALR' Abyssal plane using the fairy rings Location: South of the Abyssal plane. You would need to squeeze through the fissure in the southern wall to enter the Abyssal Queen's lair. Examine: The harbinger of destruction If you can imagine, the Abyssal queen would roughly look like this. The head would be that of the alien from the alien vs. predator movie trilogy - elongated and extremely intimidating. Her body would have the structure and look of an ant/spider, only the back would be much, MUCH larger, sort of like the red back spider. Finally, her legs would be almost like what the Kalphite Queen's legs used to look like before her graphic update. I have put some images found on a popular search engine below to give you an idea of this: ^^ Images found on a popular search engine. None of these images are mine, and are only being used here to portray an idea At half health there would be a cutscene of her calling upon her 3 Abyssal minions. These would be the Abyssal Myriad, Abyssal Legion, and Abyssal Sentinel. These creatures would detach themselves from the Abyssal Queen's shell on her back (sort of like in 'the mummy' movie where the skeletons come to life from off the walls) and would immediately become aggressive towards the nearby player/s. These Abyssal minions would need to be killed before attacking the Queen again. Should any player attack the queen while the minions are still alive, she will heal with each attack placed upon her. Unique drops could be: Abyssal whip (of course), Harbinger hounskull (helmet), Harbinger plackart (platebody), Harbinger cuisse (legs), Harbinger gauntlets (gloves), Harbinger sabatons (boots) The 3 minions could drop harbinger armour too, though it would be extremely rare. Here is a concept I worked on using SPORE. It's not quite realistic or how I imagine it to be fully, but it is a rough idea. The head I imagine would be longer than this, and the body, much bigger. It should have higher legs and spikes at the joints, but spore has its limitations o_O either way this should give you guys a general idea of what it would look like, I hope you like it :-) I was thinking perhaps a quest could be required to kill the Abyssal Queen too, though 99 slayer should be enough of a requirement anyway. Please post any thoughts/ideas/support/constructive criticism and thanks for reading! :-) Edit: I have now added the Abyssal Queen suggestion to the runescape forums. You're more than welcome to post your thoughts/ideas/support/constructive criticism there as well :-) here is the quick find code: 188-189-186-62522984

What are your goals for 2011?
1 - 3 more 99's is my goal :-)

What do you want from 2011?
Abyssal Queen Requires: 99 Slayer Location: South of the Abyssal plane. You would need to squeeze through the fissure in the southern wall to enter the Abyssal Queen's territory. Examine: The harbinger of destruction If you can imagine, the Abyssal queen would roughly look like this. The head would have the same features of the current abyssal demon (eyes, mouth, colour etc.), but the shape of its head would be that of the alien from the alien vs. predator movie trilogy - elongated and extremely intimidating. Finally, the body would have the structure and look of the ant, only the back would be MUCH larger, sort of like the red back spider - only burgandy, and with a black stripe instead. At half health she would call upon her 3 Abyssal minions. Failure to do so would cause her to rapidly gain health. Edit: here is a concept I worked on using SPORE. It's not quite realistic or how I imagine it to be fully, but it is a rough idea. The head I imagine would be longer than this, and the body, much bigger. It should have its legs much higher and have spikes at the joints, but spore has its limitations o_O either way this should give you guys a general idea of what it would look like, hope you like it :D Dragon kiteshield I think this will come out in 2011. I truly hope there will be ornament kits for it too, though it's probably doubtful :-/ Smithing update Like others have suggested, I wish there was some sort of way to add augmented gems to armour - which could give amazing benefits, such as increased max health, chances of hitting 1 speed notch faster etc. though we can only wait and see what Jagex has in store for us on this update Shapeshifting skill Gain timed 'totem' abilities and recharge your Shapeshifting points at any gorilla statue/totem pole in Runescape. I would LOVE to see this skill in RS. We already have gorilla statues and totem poles littered around Runescape. It could work like Summoning. You would create the creature's 'totem' to use whenever you want. When you decide to use the totem, it would shatter and you would be under the effects of that creature. The effects could be like the juju potions. For a mining totem, you could be under the effects of the 'stone spirit' - with a greater chance of banking ores whilst you mine. There is so much potential with this skill, and I personally would aim for 200M xp just thinking of what it could be like if it was added to RS. Master skillcapes For any skills that you have 104,273,166 XP in, you could purchase a blank master skillcape for 120k coins from the rewards trader in Daemonheim, and show it to the master of the skill you have level 120 in (XP wise) to retrieve the master skillcape for that skill. There was a poll on whether or not there should be master skillcapes for all skills, and surprisingly it was almost split right down the middle of yes/no votes 50/50, so they are wanted by many people! Skill specific dungeons Outside dungeons for ALL skills! With this update there would be a dungeon for each and every skill. Can't seem to kill Night-gazer Khighorahk with your 1 attack and strength? No worries! With a firemaking dungeon you could use your handy tinderbox and fire up some flame traps to kill it instead! Think herbs, potions and seeds can't kill a boss? Think again! Grow deadly vines and make exploding potions to obliterate the end room boss! After the boss is killed a reward chest would appear (just like barrows!). Each dungeon would use only 1 skill (unless melee/range/mage combat is required with skills like Summoning + Slayer). The slayer dungeon would have slayer monsters and certain tools needed to defeat any monsters. At the end of each dungeon there would be a boss you need to defeat. After this has been completed, you will see the reward chest, and gain a certain amount of dungeoneering xp as well as a few items. These could include: Skill tomes - specific to each dungeon. I.E. if you're in a firemaking dungeon, you may receive a firemaking tome. If you are in a slayer dungeon, you may receive a slayer tome, a farming tome for a farming dungeon etc. These tomes reward you with xp depending on the difficulty you chose for the dungeon, how many monsters you killed/puzzles you unlocked using your one skill etc. :-) Skill specific item rewards I.E. herblore dungeon = herbs/2nd ingredients/potions slayer dungeon = small chance of a rare item from a random slayer monster that you can kill. I.E. if you have 85 slayer at the time that you complete the dungeon, there is a small chance you could receive an abyssal whip (and I do mean a SMALL chance!) other rewards could include noted pure essence, runes, noted food etc. firemaking = logs of all types, higher logs being rewarded for a greater difficulty You would be able to bind items in these skill-specific dungeons, however these binds would be seperate to those in Daemonheim dungeons. So for the firemaking dungeon, you could bind a rune tinderbox (highest tier), which would give you the ability to burn logs twice as fast, set up flame traps much faster, and kill the boss with ease! Ancient scroll rewards - after a dungeon is complete, you would have a chance of being rewarded with an ancient scroll. These would contain secrets towards the skill you used for the dungeon. I.E. for the slayer dungeon, you might come across a scroll which teaches you how to favour a task, giving you the chance of obtaining a certain task more often. You may also come across a scroll which gives you access to a new area full of Abyssal demons even! Once the secret is learnt, any repetitive scrolls found would give dungeoneering xp instead. There is much more but that's the basic idea for skill specific dungeons :-)

Born Lucky
I sometimes wonder this as well. I had better ancient effigy luck when I had the display name 'Slayer Cape'. Coincidence? I don't know. I always seem to have rotten luck most of the time anyway. I've played RS for 8 years now and still have only received 1 visage from 13,000+ metal dragons and 1 d chain from 15,000+ dust devils. Oh well, I'll get whatever is given to me I guess :shades:

Max Level Cap increased to 120?
I would like it because not only would 99's have their skill slots filled, but since I will never get 120 dungeoneering, Jagex might as well raise all skills to 120 to give us new goals, achievements and rewards Edit: I would also like to have a master attack cape :D

Kid, you're a Noob, Nerd.
None of those options insult me. I have learnt over the years I will either be considered a 'noob' or a 'nerd', so either way you can't win. 'Umadbro' and 'kid' are typed too often nowadays to even phase me. It's up to players how they wish to conduct themselves. Those insults show to me a lack of maturity if anything, and I am certainly not insulted by them. In fact, when I am called a 'nerd' in particular, I consider it a compliment. Not only is a 'nerd' considered smart, (geeky maybe, but nonetheless) but most people consider nerds as people who play the game too long. I admit I'm an avid fan of Runescape, and I'm proud of it. So to me, being called a nerd is the utmost compliment :)

A level 8 with a Fire Cape
Unfortunately some topics like that do get locked from time to time with the reason being it's discussing cheaters/bots. I once had a topic explaining I was doing my black dragon slayer task and I decided to kill the baby black dragons instead. So I went to the chaos tunnels to kill them. I couldn't believe how many green dragon bots there were, so I made a topic asking why there were so many bots there, or were they just all coincidentally wearing the same gear and not talking? Sadly the topic was locked and it was apparently 'discussing bots' when in fact 'discussing bots' would be asking/discussing how a bot works, which I was not. I was asking why there were so many bots at an area, which is completely different. Threads are unfairly locked from time to time, and it is sad that there are a few lock-happy mods, but there is nothing you can do about it unfortunately :( To the topic. I do think all this stat-resetting business is encouraging legitimate players to cheat, as it may be considered 'cool' to be a low level with hard to get items. I too, wish Jagex would give harsher punishment to those who decide to cheat, but it is their game in the end, and only we can give them our opinion. The ball is in their court :)

The Rollback Cover-up
I'm glad it has been confirmed that it was indeed to get rid of bots. Personally I was quite worried when it was rumoured to be a bug, though after a while I did start to notice a pattern, and that pattern being only players using bots getting their levels reset. Thanks for the confirmation :)

how would the noob version of yourself react to the you of today?
The noob me would probably be jelous of the levels I have today. In terms of change in attitude however, I think the only difference is that I'd say I've matured a lot since my noob days. I'm still fussy about my skill levels even today though, and I don't think I'm ever good enough, despite having many skills in the 90's now. I still won't be happy until I have all skills at 99 XD but that is just me

More USA documents get released by Wikileaks
Hmm I'm not sure where I stand on this Wikileak thing. The person who started it is a hero in some ways. Like they said in Harry Potter 7, you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide. Yet at the same time, I feel all these secretive documents could very well spark world war 3, with countries being divided from all the new secrets being let out into the open. So in that aspect it is quite worrying :-/

I thought rune defenders were pretty good already. Won't the Dragon Defenders be TOO good?
I've always been a fan of defenders. Personally I'd rather have +19 attack and +5 strength bonus (rune defender) than +7 strength, +0 attack and a big defence bonus (DFS). Familiars/food is what I use for healing, so I don't see a need for any extra defence for myself personally. Attack and strength bonus is where it's at for me :D I'm sure the dragon defender won't mess things up much, if at all. Sure the dragon defender may have a slightly higher attack + strength + defence bonus than the rune defender, but I certainly can't imagine it being overpowering to the point where it ruins the top-notch shields. Plus the DFS will always be used for its high defence, and I can't see it dropping drastically from it.

Herblore Habitat interview - The answers
That was an interesting read :D It has certainly been one of my favourite spots to train those three skills this year! I think the juju mining potion is my favourite item from Herblore Habitat. If only there was a skill that had effects like the juju potions ;) The occasional ore banking effect is really handy and the animation is epic
