  1. I use duelling rings to teleport to GE and MA for calquat.
  2. Lol, I forgot to post this on your last H&A topic.
  3. Try applying to DGS, though I doubt they'll accept you since you only want a rapier.
  4. Skill hall is pretty useless, but it's nice for showing off slayer drops and having a staircase. I suppose it should be put last... And for training, I would just find my servant wandering around the house initially and then have him fetch something. He then appears right next to you with the supplies, and does so every time thereafter.
  5. This is mainly designed for slayer, but tbh, there aren't many other useful rooms. In order, I'd go with chapel > portal rooms > quest hall > menagerie > workshop > skill hall > study > costume room. I'd consider that, along with whatever rooms you need to train construction, sufficient. I never messed with a servant bell when I trained construction.
  6. Moved this to the marketplace. ----------- All you guys from Xp-Waste, and no one has posted the SPOLI Index yet? :shame:
  7. +2 slash, +5 str and it takes .6 seconds more per attack. Go with dragon scimitar.
  8. Well ironically, I have terrible luck with greenfingers: plenty of deaths and few seeds back. I've only contributed 20% to that sample size. Thank Jeremy, not me. :)
  9. Yes, you can post link's to Xp-Waste.. I probably do it at least once a day. You might want to consider crafting astrals, since they are better by about 100k gp and 2k xp/hr.
  10. Eh, based on a sample size of 535 torstol seeds with T2 greenfingers+juju+scroll of life, you're looking at an extra 40k profit atm, assuming buying and selling at med. Anyways, I have both and still agree that JoAt would be better.
  11. They have for me until I spend almost 300 hours on noncombat grinds Would you rather they simply reduce experience rates from the lamps in order to balance effigies? Jagex decided they needed to "nerf" it, you were going to get hurt one way or another. "Nerfing" effigies by implementing the bank cap hurts players much more than a reduced experience rate, as explained quite well by Vex. I don't think there would be much complaining if this update solely halved the experience rate... I would kind of support it.
  12. Quick, pass on your H&A knowledge to me! Seriously, hope you come back soon.
  13. I don't see anything on your website that would infringe upon Tip.It. It's just a forum, correct? I've taken a look at it, and you've done a great job with the FAQ's.. very coherent and informative. It answered some of the lingering questions that I had. Good luck with kickstarting it! You might want to look into attracting some of the efficient meta-gamer community; it's possible that they might possibly have a chance of being interested in it. Who knows? It could give you some fresh blood.
  14. The problem with the theory that Jagex implemented the 5 effigy cap in order to stop people from getting massive amounts of xp is slightly flawed. You can stockpile way more experience than a full bank of effigies would ever allow you to get by camping at Soul Wars. To a lesser extent, you can also look at Vinesweeper and sqi'rk (sp?) juice. I feel more "proud" of maxing the skills I dislike than the skills I do enjoy. edit: No Yes Who does agree with the implementation even if you do support the decision? Yes you could stockpile zeal, but they were smart enough to limit the skills you could cash them in for to a select few, geared especially towards combat, and on top of that, they also set a reduced exchange rate slayer and prayer so that training those skills with soul wars ( even if one chose to hoard points over a long period of time ) would be far less efficient than just slaying, or using an altar. Those who camped for effigies, did so for a more efficient way of training skills,However this I did not support, as they miss the whole point of the skill itself. The effgies could be used for anything, to which most people would camp just to train skills they dislike. And feeling proud about maxing the skills you dislike is a good thing, It shows that you were willing to fight through it, regardless of the fact that you disliked it. That takes discipline, It's not a matter of efficiency. No matter how efficiently you obtained the effigies or afked Soul Wars, it all boils down to dumping massive amounts of experience in a very short time frame. It appears that Jagex's response for the cap is to stop people from gaining large amounts of xp in one day, which is pretty stupid since there is no way of knowing this unless you stalk someone or use a fansite's tracker. Why should Jagex care if I dumped my effigies for 20m xp in a day, or spread it out over a few months? The end result is the same, which is why so many people are ranting about this update: the cap is pointless.

  16. I wonder if prices of claws/boots will increase now that the effigy rate has decreased? A bit early, since we have no idea how much it was nerfed; will be interesting to see if this update has a fairly large economic impact.
  17. According to Runewiki, you can stockpile as much as you want (well, as much as you can make in 6 hours) as long as you don't stop making wines for more than 12 seconds. Make sure that you do this at soulwars instead of cwars so you don't get randomed. I'm also not sure if logging out stops the timer... you may want to check into that. Edit: I do kind of recall them fixing wines. Not sure what they fixed about them though...
  18. The Tzhaar ring would be best. I'm fairly sure that it would beat out zerker(i) as well.
  19. While not a boss, frost dragons are good cash. Bosswise, Tormented Demons and Glacors are great cash and effigies.
  20. Haha! Thanks for making my day. I'm sure you already know this, but it's "coinshare".
  21. That's ridiculous, just like you're saying 'effigyscapers' are 'butthurt' I could say you are, because you are a bit unlucky with effigy drops. I'm not sure how many people get effigy drops at reasonable intervals, but it's definitely much more than 5%, given the popularity of Assist Clan, w117 Daemonheim and the number of people hunting cave crawlers etc. This isn't about whether effigies should provide less xp. It's about the way of nerfing them. This way, everyone who has an effigy right now has to dump it ASAP to get the better xp rates. It basically penalizes you for playing the way the game was meant to be played. Because playing to achieve your goal is how the game is meant to be played. I got my last effigy in November. Wanna know why? Like MOST people who play Runescape, I do NOT farm them. My life of Runescape does not revolve around spamming cavecrawlers so I can level agility. I could care less about effigies because I hardly ever get them doing the things I enjoy in Runescape. I'm sorry if you are still mad and all about Runescape not being fun anymore because it just got a little more challenging for you. Before mummies, I hadn't received an effigy since last May only because I wasn't training combat. At least there are only a few skills that I need to work on before I work on slayer. Personally, I think Jagex will change this. This screws over people who have effigies from slayer and don't like skilling like crazy before slayer.
  22. There aren't many updates that allow you to keep it :twss: this one may be for quite a few days tho.. doubt it
  23. That should be enough :D I don't think I even have 50 brews/rests...
  24. No, the 10 HP ones do drop charms, just crazy rare. I've been there about 15 hours so far, and sometimes I go 2 hours without a charm drop. Probably ends up being less than 1 charm/hr on average. Edit: Yeah Jeremy, I went 3 hours earlier today without an effigy, then bam! 2 in 5 minutes.
  25. Are you still slaughtering mummies? Been there for 3.5 hours already: got 1 effigy in first 15 mins, then 3 hours of nothing, then 2 effigies in 5 minutes. GIVE ME MY DAMN CHAMPION SCROLL!
