  1. I'd put it on prayer. Train herb during BXP and then summoning after you hit 1.1x.
  2. When using Grimy's spreadsheet, keep in mind that he uses the med ge price. Often, especially near bxpw, prices are higher than they appear. Yeah, it gives you a good starting point; you could always make a copy and change the buy/sell values on your own.
  3. I'm a soul, but not particularly kind. I'm assuming you are referring to Grimy's calc or RW's calc.
  4. Well that's partly your problem.. you are wearing melee armor and praying melee. You should switch to dragonhide so that way you'll block some of the general's magic attacks.
  5. Welcome to the forums! I suggest you take a look at our guide and maybe the wiki's guide. Are you praying/potting/using a familiar? IIRC, I did it in black dragon hide while praying melee.
  6. I remember you having this same problem and question last BXP. :P Well the problem is that everyone knows that BXP is coming and so they decide to stock up early. I don't think that bots played a major role in that most things crashed, but rather that everyone was hoarding in hopes of making a killing. As for a price estimation, I have no clue lol.
  7. Dailies are just buying various items from a shop and reselling on GE for a profit. You can look here for a very in depth guide or here for a more condensed calculator that is auto-updated based on GE prices.
  8. Killing green dragons is good money in addition to farming herbs, MTK, and buying various "dailies" like battlestaves and broad arrow heads.
  9. I don't normally crash someone unless they are in a high-population world just killing/skilling half of the spawns when I can use all of them. It's annoying when I'm killing irons and some noob with an antifire shield comes along and decides he wants to steal my spot.
  10. I suggest you start here. Welcome to the forums! Edit: Good grief, I got ninja'd by someone who just joined. =D> Welcome to you too.
  11. Obligatory post now that I'm a greenie. On topic (Is there even such a thing?), I have nothing to say.
  12. Auras and assisting ffs.
  13. Best update in a long time. The "in other news" and the patch notes are tiny fixes, but really awesome. I'm sorely tempted to get that greenfinger's aura now that it tells you when you get extra herbs; was one of the big reasons why I've been holding off.
  14. Just to beat everyone else to it: F2P deserves nothing! Still, I am surprised that Jagex doesn't give F2P a free ~week. That surely would draw in some more members.
  15. I imagine they are still viable, but not the best. You might want to look into armored zombies.
  16. At least she's in Bandos... Grats on the abyssal head  Edit: Unspam, since I've posted twice in 4 posts lol From 3 weeks ago.
  17. I'm quite confident that Jagex have said that there won't be a new skill released during 2012. Would be interesting to see how the new skill plays out. I'm sure lots of people have effigies stored. Get like 90 by training the skill, then boom effigies for 1st to 99. It would be a gamble but after S U O M I gets 200m Rc it might be best to save effigies for the new skill rather then dumping into woodcutting or summoning. If they do allow Effigies enabled into the new skill within 6 months, I'll be extremely disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised though. I would be disappointed too (I think that 3 months is plenty tho) and very surprised.. it took a pretty long time before WGS lamps/pengs were allowed on dungeoneering.
  18. What a moron, you can't respec your magic with it until about the time you lose it all, it's lower than overloads too. Your're also losing the stats you need for glactyes too. Good thing he never met Zarfot or all the other people that use overloads for everything.
  19. According to Grimy's calc, you should average 18.7 watermelons per patch.
  20. Yes, they should sell since it is only a 28 gp loss if you hi alch them. I never had trouble selling adamant platebodies for people to alch; I'm sure it will be the same for mith.
  21. For starters, there are 3 spellbooks: your normal one, lunar, and ancient. You can obtain the last two thru quests, but you can only be on one spellbook at a time, meaning you can't have access to high alch and ice burst for example. Plank-make is a lunar spell that transforms logs into planks for construction.. Pretty fast xp and it sometimes can turn a profit Livid farm is an area where you train magic and farm simultaneously (with a little craft and cons xp). The rewards are unlockable lunar spells, and some are pretty useful. However, most people hate it since it is unbelievably boring and grindy. As for what armor to wear, infinity at 50 I suppose.
  22. Welcome to the forums! If you are interested in non-combat magic, superheat is a good idea since it trains two skills at once. Once you hit 55, you can alch while skilling - you can also superheat while mining - which is a passive way to train mage. And once you level up some more, plank-make and livid farm are also other good options. (They require the lunar spellbook, so you need to do some quests first.) As for combat, you should aim for a Polypore Staff at 80 magic. Death and blood runes are very high atm, and this spell is amazing for such a cheap price. If you have a large amount of money to blow, you could look into Storm of Armadyl or Ice Barrage. Both of these require pretty difficult quests to access, especially Storm.
  23. Mith plates then addy plates would cost around 250m at today's prices. Dung scroll would save you around 10m, and it only requires 200k dungeoneering xp to get.
  24. Who needs snow when it's 63°F (17°C) with a light rain?
