New/More Moderators
I fail to see any logic behind this. Admittedly of late 1 or two moderators seem a bit on edge/borderline rude (eg fuelling or starting flaming/off topicness) but they do a fine job overall and at the end of the day they are human; they are allowed to have periods of time when they are a bit stressy or wound up. Plus there is no need for moderators or admins to know the ins and outs of the game, their duty is not to be some deity of knowledge, it is to keep forum rules enforced and deal with the technological backend & adminstrative backend duties of the forum and website. It is the crewbies job to research game stuff.

Auras and assisting ffs. And mtk runs off the time you beat the quest/filled coffers above 0. And Tears of Guthix runs from when you last did it. Familarisation I believe is also from when you did it.

I didn't even know RuneScape had a roleplay world. Is it a 'I vivaciously rub oil on my body as I tie you up with my abyssal whip' type of roleplay or 'As a thousand virgins cry, I take my valiant abyssal whip and tear through the crowd of hobgoblins lusting for my blood'? It's more a 'I'm a 40 yr old virgin pretending to be a damsel in distress by standing inside Varrock Castle and these young strapping teen boy knights must defeat many obstacles (kill 5 guards & pretend to sneak thru the castle picklocking doors) to rescue me so they can have my email address and cheeky pictures' Or thats what I saw last time I ventured there by mistake. Also full of a lot of angry people who scream bloody murder and report you if you do not roleplay. do u really need to go around trolling like that? I for one go to this server every now and then, sadly there has been plenty of players there not knowing its a role-playing server, ruining the experience for some, so i think this is great. as for what its all about, you can simply join in creating your character according to whats your skilling. Or you can join the "clans"/worlds/stories that have been created, mostly on rsof, and act on those role. Rather fun going out killing monsters in full black, often ending up in thankfully being blessed by the gods or telleported out by the teams mage, ending up in Lumby. There is plenty of stuff going around there if you know where to search. No damn reason to call those wanting to play the game this way 40 year old virgins. Full of angry ppl, not so much, unless your the one going around trolling, calling them noobs and all for doing something you might see as stupid.. It is not trolling, if you read to the fullest extent you would see I said "Or thats what I saw last time I ventured there by mistake" ergo it is an expression of events that transpired before my eyes the last time I happened into a role playing world. The same applies to my later statement, on occasions when I have been spot hopping and ended up in a roleplaying world I have been actively abused and threatened with being reported as I did not have a role I was playing and just quietly got on with my training.

Sadly not... I believe the FPS issues were partially fixed with a hidden update yesterday but... they may have done some work today also. I don't know. It's good anyway. :-P In fairness they have been partially fixing them (to varying degrees of success) every single game update since the nuke; just bad luck if you are in the remaining minority still affected. (eg in my clan of around 50 all of us been fine since like mid december cept 1 dude who is stuck at like 2 fps)

Future Update Discussions
I don't think its an extension of the fight caves. I think you take the fire cape to a new area and enter there.. Obv we won't know for sure. And you aren't losing much time considering that Jad is pretty fast. Well we do kinda know for sure: The new quest (which unlocks the new 'game) guides us to the Ancient Kiln which must be a new area as it is described as being 'deep in the heart of the volcano in an area that the thzaar have not visited in centuries' The new game is killed 'Fight Kiln' Ergo the game is in the kiln which will be added to a new area in the upcoming quest
-
Are my combat stats good enough for Tz Tok Jad?
At those stats it'd be reasonably tricky; for it to be a cake walk you really want all 90s then can use melee methods using spec restores and claws for fast jad downing, old fashion but tried and tested ranging methods or the nice and easy mage tanking via virtus or ganodermic with pps or soa to tear them to shreds. As for dying its a safe game, you get booted out with all your stuff when you die.

Yes you can decant out of the new flasks into an empty flask and/or normal vials. The only limiter is you cannot decant into a flask that has already had potion put in it.

Strength training
I believe the rankings for low-endish str training goes: Brackish Blade > Sara Sword > D scimmy But I'm not 100% sure.

Really? Did not see my gp total go down at all on either account I did this on, suppose that's something for a crewbie to double check!

Dragon Slayer Quest
But that is exactly what the guide says =S "To start off, talk to the guild master in the Champions guild. When speaking to him, be sure to go through all the chat options. When you ask him about obtaining a Rune Plate mail, he will tell you that he has a friend, Oziach who can help you out with one." Guildmaster gives you info and sends you to Oziach "He can be found in a small hut just left of the entrance to Edgeville. He will tell you that you may be in the Champions but you may not be worthy of the title "Hero". He will set you off on a quest to kill the green dragon Elvarg on Crandor Isle. You will need to collect 3 map pieces in order to get to the isle." Oziach tells you to kill the dragon. "Return to the Champion's Guild, where the Guild Master will give you the key to Melzar's Maze. Ask the Guild Master all the questions you can in order to be able to proceed through the quest. You may want to drop the key and get a second one from him - some players like to train in the Maze." Guildmaster gives you the key and more info He/him always refers to the last male person named, so: To start off, talk to the guild master in the Champions guild. When speaking to him, be sure to go through all the chat options. When you ask him about obtaining a Rune Plate mail, he will tell you that he has a friend, Oziach who can help you out with one. He can be found in a small hut just left of the entrance to Edgeville. He will tell you that you may be in the Champions but you may not be worthy of the title "Hero". You may want to drop the key and get a second one from him - some players like to train in the Maze. Though arguably for clarities sake this segment needs editting thusly: When speaking to him, be sure to go through all the chat options. When you ask him about obtaining a Rune Plate mail, he will tell you that he has a friend, Oziach, who can help you out with one. Oziach can be found in a small hut just left of the entrance to Edgeville. Also I'd throw up questions to a few things: 1) Lots of short sentences for no apparent reason 2) Guild Master is written inconsistently (eg some are capitalised, some not) 3) The description of Oziach's location seems a bit off "left of the entrance to edgeville" (missing capital) never really was all that accurate and now with the bridge and removal of lots of the fencing up the western edge surely it should be "on the western side of Edgeville, near the wilderness wall"

Burthorpe Taverley related stuff.
Why do you need gp? I didn't use any gp when I did it on either of my accounts. Also having a vial is not necessary, Sanfew will give you one automatically. As for fishing rod and chisel the tutors have free ones of them for you, assuming they are not already on your tool belt. Also to be more precise: Living water is found in the back of the Gelatinous Abominations cave, located in the centre of the lake. Rock Fish are found in the 'Sparkly Water' on the western edge of the lake and you must then collect scales from it using a chisel. Wandering Wyrmwood are found on the southern edge of the lake and are plant/animals that when buried are untouchable but will periodically pop up to walk a few squares, at which point they can be left clicked to grab the leaves.

Possibility of a members free trial in the coming months
I wasn't trying to say it was impossible, just that it is much more complex than *just* putting a border guard/gate on wwm
-
Possibility of a members free trial in the coming months
Exactly. They put one of those beginner area guards on white wolf mountain, and could also use them in the same way the Taverly gate is currently used. It would not be as simple as JUST that. There would be the choice of including the whole area or just the towns, eg do these need a fence hemming off the withches house dark wiz tower etc. Making sure any quests in they area have coding fixes so f2p can't accidentally start them (eg Fishing Contest, Hero's Quest, Troll Stronghold) and of course there is blocking off the Northern routes through troll lands out into Fremmink and making sure Taverly dungeon is locked off, or atleast most of it is. Then there is the question of some of the shops and tutorial quests that would enable f2pers to gain some levels in herblore and summoning in particular; do they allow that? Do they keep them members only? If so which shops etc need the members only locks applied?

Behind the Scenes - February
I'm the same, even if 9/10 a new update just means 1-2 hours of beating it then back to 'normal'; though we have had some nice exceptions lately Dom tower is one to come back too, as was temple trek update (assuming you want comp cape some day) and the Kiln obviously will be. New vials won't even affect my gameplay for a while, can't do the kiln game and not big on pvm and can't even make em.

Familiarization off-task
I've always been told familarisation is only worth it for WFS and rock lobs, so I'd say do WFS over black demons.

No. It's too late in the day now and Mod Emilee never posted anything about it and she is the one to be trusted on such things as she always posts the 'no game update today/this week' and 'waiting room' threads.

No...no they couldn't. They really could, as proven by the fact colloquially (as in slang/everyday/informal) you barely see affect, always effect and no-one ever really trips up over it not making sense. Case and point: It took several days for anyone to even notice I'd used the wrong one, so the clearly all understood what was meant and read effect with the meaning of affect. Then why are you always derailing threads by correcting people's grammatical usage when everybody else understands what they're saying? If no-one ever corrected people on their misuse of English, no-one would ever better their use of English. Besides it hardly derails a thread to make one brief comment correcting someone, what does derail it is when other uses decided to turn it into an entirely off-topic debate. Case in point. Wow never knew I used that wrong! Everyone round my way says case and point, guess it's a local colloquialism of the idiom.

Fair play, I always mix them two up, but meh in this day and age it hardly matters as people read them interchangeably anyway (due to everyone misusing effect in place of affect), one could reasonably argue that in colloquial terms effect = affect.

SC tools and BXPW
The real shame is the idiots who sink millions into doing prayer on BXPW only to realise after they used all the bones that ALL bonus xp items are disabled and this includes the 4* bonus from ectofunctus and the 3.5* from gilded altar with burners, so even at the very start of BXPW you get less xp:bone than you do normally.
